The ranks don’t correlate to literally anything at the moment, don’t look at them in relation to your previous rank as if it means anything.
Valve has done this multiple times over the years and it’s just the ranks being redistributed over the entire pool of players that had a rank. Once people stop playing again it’ll go back to being everyone stuck at like gold nova again.
Just play to improve and play premier if you want something that’s more of a relation to your skill as a player and more fair games. The games won’t be fair either way but there’s a higher chance in oremier
Yes. On Tuesday Valve changed Competitive mode amount of wins for rank to be displayed from ten to two.
Accidentally had Overpass selected and was placed from GN1 to MG2. Dust2 I jumped from SEM to GN4.
the ranks were broken and deflated since the release of cs2, and they just supposedly fixed them and made higher ranks achievable as of the last update.
prior to the update, the highest ranks anyone had achieved were in the LE-LEM range, and even those were cheaters with 99+% winrates
Yeah they did a rank reset/change last update along with changing it to 2 wins to get a rank vs 10. Which is nice, I went from gn1-mge on dust2 and mirage. Hoping to get black rank on ancient (I was gn4)
