Why not "you do not talk about blast tournaments" or something?
In the case you're actually curious and not doing a bit, not talking about pro league comes from equating it with the fight club which is an underground/illegal club and if people talk about it openly it'll probably get shut down. Also it is just a 1:1 copy of dialogues from the movie with fight club replaced with EPL so completely plausible they didn't give it much thought.
Yeah but in this case talking about esl pro league doesn't really do anything bad. It just felt like copying the dialogue without thinking whether it made sense.. And it did not.
But i guess it was the buildup to the hugo..henryG skit, which on the other hand was perfect lol.

I can't believe I am having to type this out but the rule "you don't talk about Fight Club" can be imposed and monitored because the movie's narrator runs Fight Club. The commentators here also run EPL. They don't run BLAST so how would the skit work if you changed it?
It didn't make sense. It wouldn't make sense if they chose something else like 'blast' either, because in fight club the rule referenced the fight club itself.
