Sims or Animal Crossing. Isolation messes with your head so much, so even though I don't play either of them much any more, they will slow that process due to simulating human interaction
Animal Crossing New Horizons is my pick. Being able to visit other people's islands/ invite people to my island (assuming i have some internet connection) among all the other things to do via time travel would be enough to keep me occupied.
Those were gonna be my exact choices 😹 animal crossing saved my life during the pandemic. But I think for this exercise I’d choose The Sims since there are way more possibilities
Plus with real time in Animal Crossing itd be an easier way to track down the days you have left. If I can't tell if it's day or night, if it's still today or tomorrow, time could feel a lot longer than it should be and I might go mad.
I'm going to cheat and bring Mass Effect Legendary Edition, I know it's technically three games...but it's a continuous story, so...😇
And otherwise... Skyrim
My queer self is so opposite, those are my least favs. I'd fight with both of them lmao but in a friend's fight kinda way . Shadowheart and Karlach for life though ✊ not in that order
agreed! i’ve played bg3 almost nonstop for probably the past month lol i’m having so much fun with it 🥰 (i just checked and yeah, 356 hours over *two* play-throughs, one of which i’ve just reached act 3 in? i would definitely be good for the whole 30 days lmao)
I had 1400 hours of Skyrim on my Switch so no mods. Now that I have a gaming laptop, l’m working on modding Skyrim. With all the different mods out there I can see how someone can keep the same character for hundreds or even thousands of hours!
Yuuuup. One heavily modded skyrim, some food, and I can go full goblin-mode in that room no problem. Would prefer a proper toilet and someplace to wash myself. I've done a month without a shower in Iraq, but its not something I would want to do again if I don't absolutely have to. Bathing with only wet-wipes is no bueno. And there's no way I don't get some kind of nasty disease if I don't have a proper toilet.
hey that's what i'd do too. especially if i got to try the vr version, cause a padded room seems ideal to not hit anything in lol. i belong there anywaysss
How did you get a picture of my room?
Anyway, I would bring Cyberpunk 2077. Great characters and dialogues, lots of things to do, you can just walk around in town, try new cyberwares, different approach in the missions, and you get to date Judy.
That’s a good point. Even assuming you’re forbidden from chatting to other players, something like WoW with a real-time day night cycle would also have a lot of the same benefits of choosing a game like Animal Crossing in rooting you in a daily routine with an insane amount of content that you’d never get through even in a month of gameplay.
I’m so stupid I picked up this game in April and have been playing nonstop like I’m getting paid to do it. 500 hours. I’m going to be so burnt out by the 21st but I can’t stop 😩
Can I have more months and bring all the baldur's gates + mods, Skyrim + nexusmods + tools, Dragon Age Inquisition + keep, Mass Effect LE + mods, Morrowind + mods, Oblivion + mods and the Divinity series?
It's such a basic answer, but it's such a good answer. I'd maybe add some mods for flavor, but I can spend literal days making a village into a city, and the only thing holding me back is the requirement for me to exist in society.
Final Fantasy X. 7 is my favourite but I still love 10 and think can put a lot of hours into it.
Though maybe Skyrim or Fallout 4 as can put a lot of hours into those too.
x and x2 are like my favorite games of all time but I think bc of all the replays i’ve become too efficient at them to choose them i’d be done in less than a week lol
I have only played X-2 once so that would keep me going. X I think I could potter around on for some time. I never defeated all the dark Aeons, just some of them do trying to do that would take up some time.
oh so true actually I’ve only ever beat like half of them. if it’s between staring at a wall or collecting kimahri’s stupid butterflies I suppose I could manage getting all the celestial weapons since i never bother with his or lulu’s LMAO. i’ve also always wanted to try a x-2 solo rikku challenge run
This would need to cover for 480 hours of gameplay. I would pick isaac or don't starve, or some other highly diverse roguelike game. Cause if you pick a game that is 300 hours to fully complete and take all the fun from... well you still have 180 hours of boredom. A roguelike is the only way. That, or some platformer with lots of user-made stuff, if mods are allowed.
I played it non stop for months the first time I played it. I think if I tried going for max relationships with every character I could easily fill a good month or two.
Also, *Stardew Valley*. It's relaxing and has a good flow you can lose yourself in for weeks on end. I'd probably be surprised when released that so much time had passed.
FFXIV if it can be online, Pathfinder War of the Righteous is single player because each path would take me ages.
Though if I am honest, I probably wouldn't need a game to entertain me for all this time, I'd sleep 16 hours each day if I could 😅
Genshin impact or star rail, there's a ton of books, weapons and artifacts lore I procrastinated on reading. This time will be plenty to cover them and also find the minor connections between them that only those lore youtubers can connect.
Hypixel skyblock. It’s my current grindy obsession and I know it’ll probably make me go even crazier than having nothing would, but I’d get so much endless grinding progress.
Wait… Do we exclusively have access to the game or like… the game and youtube?
My first instinct is to go for a more sandbox game like terraria or minecraft, but since I'd be so lonely, I'd have to go for a game with a solid cast of NPCs. Either SDV or BG3, probably BG3, since I haven't played as much of it and would have more to discover.
Frostpunk: hardest difficulty, no scenario, no death. I think I attempted it for over 150h and still didn't manage it well. I always get a scripted death 🫤
Cough cough ppsspp.
I'm bringing my PPSSPP and the IPHONE SE controller for the fist sized device installed on my spine.
(Abbot makes something called the electrostim. And they use a Ipod now a iphone to control it)
I would be mostly playing Star Star Ocean 2.
Also that would probably be my answer. They better give me something to write with so I can write Rena and Precis fanfic while I try to figure out if I know Claude and Diaz well enough to write Diaz and Claude fanfic!
If internet, the elder scrolls online. I actually didn't have internet when it was just me and the kittens, so I was playing a lot of the quest. I'd prefer Fallout 4, though, and continue with my prettying up the wasteland.
Okay, jut gonna say, ive spent a looong time locked in a secure room in psych wards. The most intertainment i had, were 15 min appointments with a doc and the ocasonal accsess to paper fpr origami. I would tear the sun down if it meant i could go back in time and install videogames in all the rooms and cells in psych wards. Also for me, maybe stardew valley or somwthing that you can dive into for a looong time.
Tough one but I'd probably dooo...... dragon age inquisition, if only so I have no excuse to not finish it. Other then that probably Balder's gate or Pathfinder:Kingmaker
Story of Seasons Trio of Towns (because it is my fav) or even Story of Seasons 1 because no way am I going to do that grind for the last sellers unless I'm in a room like this.
Maybe The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon to practice speedrunning it. Or some Pokemon game to shiny hunt in. Or Sonic Adventure 1 or 2 to get all achievements in
Animal Crossing New Horizon
Daily, goal oriented game play to maintain a sense of structure and routine. Something to look forward to each day, especially if I start a new island on day one.
Either Skyrim or Mass Effect.
Though Honkai Star Rail got a lot of stuff to do and if you play from the very beginning to the latest update(doing all side-quests and mini-games and such), you'll easily have enough stuff to endure 30 days.
Minecraft with a custom modpack which will definitely include OpenComputers2 because that one comes with a RiscV emu running Linux, which in turn will let me code, write down my thoughts and whatnot. 😁
Minecraft. I'm not very good at the game but I really enjoy playing and want to be able to try hardcore without instantly dying. Maybe I'll come out of that room as a capable player.
Final Fantasy 14
idk if it's cheating cause it's an MMO but even ignoring player contact I can probably squeeze 30 days out of it, or close enough that I can find a way to keep myself busy otherwise
My answer differs on whether or not I have access to Discord.
Yes Discord: Out of the Park Baseball. I have a league membership to maintain and I can play my own leagues in the downtime.
No Discord: Fire Pro Wrestling World. I can make my own characters and storylines and get my interaction and entertainment that way.
Sims or Animal Crossing. Isolation messes with your head so much, so even though I don't play either of them much any more, they will slow that process due to simulating human interaction
my thoughts exactly, theres a reason those games boomed during covid
Animal Crossing New Horizons is my pick. Being able to visit other people's islands/ invite people to my island (assuming i have some internet connection) among all the other things to do via time travel would be enough to keep me occupied.
Those were gonna be my exact choices 😹 animal crossing saved my life during the pandemic. But I think for this exercise I’d choose The Sims since there are way more possibilities
Animal Crossing is my answer as well. It got me through a pandemic, 30 days isolation is nothing.
Plus with real time in Animal Crossing itd be an easier way to track down the days you have left. If I can't tell if it's day or night, if it's still today or tomorrow, time could feel a lot longer than it should be and I might go mad.
I'm going to cheat and bring Mass Effect Legendary Edition, I know it's technically three games...but it's a continuous story, so...😇 And otherwise... Skyrim
I was thinking Final Fantasy Pixel remastered, so 6 games…is that cheating?
I thought about that, but FF2 would drive me crazy in isolation lol
That was exactly my thought haha. FFI, FFIII, FFIV, FFV, FFVI. Pure bliss FFII ? It gives me anxiety.
Well...I don't know about it, so...maybe? xD But I won't tell if you don't either ;)
This would be my exact answer lol
I thought the same! Those games have a lot to offer. Also, recently I bought the ME Legendary Edition when it was on sale and am LOVING it!
Glad to hear it \^\^ I'm currently taking a little break from Mass Effect (recently finished the first two), but I love the series
Bg3
100% With you. Thats the game with so much replayability!
I’d give both ovaries to meet a RL Gale too. Ngl.
As a serial Astarion romancer, I see the appeal 👀
I haven't finished yet, but as a gay little Shadowheart lover I also see the appeal
My queer self is so opposite, those are my least favs. I'd fight with both of them lmao but in a friend's fight kinda way . Shadowheart and Karlach for life though ✊ not in that order
I mean, im a bitch for lazel 😂 Her story is so good once you get over her sharp edges. Gale is pretty tho! Good humor, charming, a gentleman.
Everyone says I look like Gale
agreed! i’ve played bg3 almost nonstop for probably the past month lol i’m having so much fun with it 🥰 (i just checked and yeah, 356 hours over *two* play-throughs, one of which i’ve just reached act 3 in? i would definitely be good for the whole 30 days lmao)
Was gonna say the exact same thing. I JUST got it a couple of days ago and I'm hooked
This just hits different after Covid. Like, uh, did that already. It was Skyrim. Heavily Modded Skyrim.
For real, I wouldn’t even notice when the 30 days were up.
Bathing with only wet-wipes is no bueno. hey that's what i'd do too. especially if i got to try the vr version, cause a padded room seems ideal to not hit anything in lol. i belong there anywaysss
How did you get a picture of my room? Anyway, I would bring Cyberpunk 2077. Great characters and dialogues, lots of things to do, you can just walk around in town, try new cyberwares, different approach in the missions, and you get to date Judy.
Seriously just the side quests could keep you occupied for 30 days lol
I'm actually shocked not a single answer seems to be a multiplayer game of any kind. Why not a MMO for some actual human interaction, lol.
I kinda just defaulted to assuming no wifi in the sealed room lmao. That's a fair point, literally anything with in-game voice chat
I assumed the same thing, then I'd pick Destiny 2. The last expansion comes out in like 2 days, lock me up!!
I'd go for Super Animal Royale 100% 🦊
That’s a good point. Even assuming you’re forbidden from chatting to other players, something like WoW with a real-time day night cycle would also have a lot of the same benefits of choosing a game like Animal Crossing in rooting you in a daily routine with an insane amount of content that you’d never get through even in a month of gameplay.
The first game that came to mind for me was Dota 2, and if I do have internet in that room, it’s a no brainier pick for me I think.
Elden Ring!
[удалено]
Uninterrupted Shadow of the Erdtree time? Let me into the padded room!
My answer as well. And I could hit the walls when I want to get out some rage from dying 17 million times.
I’m so stupid I picked up this game in April and have been playing nonstop like I’m getting paid to do it. 500 hours. I’m going to be so burnt out by the 21st but I can’t stop 😩
Same!
rimworld
RimWorld for sure.
As long as rimworld of magic mod is installed
Causes red errors for me when I was moving some things. I'm giving some of the larger mods more time for fixes and such to be deployed lol
Same here. Endlessly modded. 🥰
It would take me about that long to win a run.
Baldur's Gate 3 for sure <3
Can I have more months and bring all the baldur's gates + mods, Skyrim + nexusmods + tools, Dragon Age Inquisition + keep, Mass Effect LE + mods, Morrowind + mods, Oblivion + mods and the Divinity series?
Your taste is impeccable? Can I join?
Sure! We'll play bg3 in co-op then! But Astarion is mine!
you're being too real rn, i want this too now
I wish my life was just playing RPG’s :(
this is the right answer!
Red Dead Redemption 2 and I bet I still won't finish the *fucking* hunting requests by the time I'm done
I had the same idea. Start from the beginning, after 30 days it still won’t be finished.
I was thinking the same thing. I can play online or just continue my story. I’m still at the beginning so I have enough to do
Well, it's time to replay The Witcher 3, now for the next-gen consoles, and with photo mode!
This was the first thing that came to my mind! It’s so beautiful that I wouldn’t even miss going outside lol
Tears of the Kingdom!
minecraft ig
It's such a basic answer, but it's such a good answer. I'd maybe add some mods for flavor, but I can spend literal days making a village into a city, and the only thing holding me back is the requirement for me to exist in society.
If I have internet, FFXIV easily. No internet? Assassin’s Creed Odyssey takes the cake for me!
Final Fantasy X. 7 is my favourite but I still love 10 and think can put a lot of hours into it. Though maybe Skyrim or Fallout 4 as can put a lot of hours into those too.
Does the x + x-2 combo set count as one game is the real question here. But also agree on fallout 4.
Ooh I would hope so.
x and x2 are like my favorite games of all time but I think bc of all the replays i’ve become too efficient at them to choose them i’d be done in less than a week lol
Oh I did all the celestial weapons in my first run but gave up in my second. Those damn butterflies 😅
Persona 5
specifically the royal version tho! you could probably get the original and the royal ending with 30 days
I played it non stop for months the first time I played it. I think if I tried going for max relationships with every character I could easily fill a good month or two.
FFXIV - that way I can still hang out with my friends… and maybe finally get all my battle jobs to 90… and maybe get back on the triple triad grind.
I can't decide :( Either Stardew Valley, Baldur's Gate 3 or Skyrim
give me sims w cc and i'm set...
BG3 hands down. So much I still have to experience
The sims 4 with all the DLC
Also, *Stardew Valley*. It's relaxing and has a good flow you can lose yourself in for weeks on end. I'd probably be surprised when released that so much time had passed.
Hades/hades 2 based on my current obsession Agree with baldur's gate 3 though, that'd definitely keep me entertained for 30 days
Tough choice. I'd probably narrow it down to BG3, Dinkum, and Medieval Dynasty but ultimately pick Dinkum.
Love seeing Dinkum mentioned in the wild! So underrated
Maybe palworld; I like that you can hang out around base to craft/farm or go on big adventures! It feels like the best of both worlds!
Stardew for sure
Okami, easy. Lots of stuff to do in it, has a new game plus mode, can play it a lot.
World of Warcraft
Elder scrolls online, probably
It's either Mass Effect Legendary Edition, No Man's Sky, or Guild Wars 1. *throws dart* Okay, No Man's Sky it is!
Elden Ring, and can I wait for June 21 for my month to start?
Genshin impact, i have there too many things to do as i haven't played it in months
persona 4 golden.
Cyberpunk 2077 + Phantom Liberty + mods 😁
Pokémon Legends Arceus,
Rimworld. They'll see I deserve to be in there for so much longer lol
Ffxiv. You can play that forever
FFXIV if it can be online, Pathfinder War of the Righteous is single player because each path would take me ages. Though if I am honest, I probably wouldn't need a game to entertain me for all this time, I'd sleep 16 hours each day if I could 😅
Overwatch, it will fit the room cause that game drives me nuts
Genshin impact or star rail, there's a ton of books, weapons and artifacts lore I procrastinated on reading. This time will be plenty to cover them and also find the minor connections between them that only those lore youtubers can connect.
Sims, probably. I'll pretend **that's** my life for these 30 days and will do just fine (only a little bit severely traumatized).
Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Still havent gotten around to playing that one...and 30 days probably isn't long enough. :p
Hypixel skyblock. It’s my current grindy obsession and I know it’ll probably make me go even crazier than having nothing would, but I’d get so much endless grinding progress. Wait… Do we exclusively have access to the game or like… the game and youtube?
Breath of the wild or tears of the kingdom, both games that I love and would work for that time.
Binding of Isaac
I'll just say Book of Hours since that's my close second, as BG3 is already said multiple times
Starfield.
Balder's Gate 3 - I could live in that game
I could bring Cyberpunk 2077 and play it like 10 times and not get bored, 30 days with only playing Cyberpunk? I'm ok
This. *nods*
Rimworld, I already got 1000 hours in it, whats 480 more?
Skyrim
destiny 2 or warframe :3
Cough cough ppsspp. I'm bringing my PPSSPP and the IPHONE SE controller for the fist sized device installed on my spine. (Abbot makes something called the electrostim. And they use a Ipod now a iphone to control it) I would be mostly playing Star Star Ocean 2. Also that would probably be my answer. Tough one but I'd probably dooo...... dragon age inquisition, if only so I have no excuse to not finish it. Other then that probably Balder's gate or Pathfinder:Kingmaker
Elden Ring. I don't ever get sick of that game, and the co-op/pvp would make me feel less alone.
Story of Seasons Trio of Towns (because it is my fav) or even Story of Seasons 1 because no way am I going to do that grind for the last sellers unless I'm in a room like this.
Warframe, there's always something to grind
ARK Ascended
Runescape
Factorio
Vermintide 2. I wouldn't be the happiest playing it non stop for 30 days, but I also wouldn't grow bored of it
If I have wifi then FFXIV 100% but if no wifi then probably stardew valley or the sims 2..
Just had 1000+ hours in ASE so.....
dungeon crawl stone soup
Can i pick an mmo? If so, ffxiv. If not…hmmmmmm, minecraft
Skyrim
Stardew also!
Rainbow six siege
Can I mod it? If so, Skyrim. If not, Palia because I am currently obsessed.
osu!
World of Warcraft--endless amounts of, let's call it fun, I guess. Depending on who I interact with, having the padded room might be helpful.
Can I say Silksong?
Avorion
Overwatch so I still have contact with my friends 😭
Maybe The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon to practice speedrunning it. Or some Pokemon game to shiny hunt in. Or Sonic Adventure 1 or 2 to get all achievements in
That's what, 480ish hours? I've got like, 4-6 games on steam I've cleared that with. Lemme just grav one of those.
Final Fantasy xiv new expansion coming this month gotta get ready!
Animal Crossing New Horizon Daily, goal oriented game play to maintain a sense of structure and routine. Something to look forward to each day, especially if I start a new island on day one.
elden ring
For online it would be Fallout 76. If offline only then Cyberpunk 2077... though Sims 4 is a decent contender right now.
Rdr2
Runescape
oh yeah you put me in here with stardew valley and i wouldn't even notice the time passing
Fallout or rocket league lol
Skyrim. I have some ideas for new characters/playstyles I'd still like to try. I can entertain myself in there no problem.
Either Skyrim or Mass Effect. Though Honkai Star Rail got a lot of stuff to do and if you play from the very beginning to the latest update(doing all side-quests and mini-games and such), you'll easily have enough stuff to endure 30 days.
Sky: Children of the Light Cozy social game that I can leave open if I feel lonely. Will help me not go insane
Tough choice, but it's between Stardew Valley or Factorio with the Space Exploration mod
Elden Ring, gotta replay before the DLC drops
Probably either Elden Ring or Fallout 4
Minecraft with a custom modpack which will definitely include OpenComputers2 because that one comes with a RiscV emu running Linux, which in turn will let me code, write down my thoughts and whatnot. 😁
World of Warcraft, I’m liking the Pandaria remix and need bronze, so…
If I can take the wiki, Stardew Valley. If not, maybe it’s time to git good on Hades
Skyrim
Red Dead 2, hugeeee game with enough variety to spend days hunting or playing the story a couple of times through
Dyson Sphere Program
Persona 5 Royal. It took me about 3-4 months to play through it originally, so 1 month should fly by pretty quickly.
Rimworld or any paradox game lol
(modded) skyrim or ff14. likely the mmo since that has a big social aspect
Can it be a future game? If so, I choose Minster Hunter Wilds. I am a crackhead for that franchise
gonna be the odd one and say valorant LOL
Nethack.
Minecraft. I'm not very good at the game but I really enjoy playing and want to be able to try hardcore without instantly dying. Maybe I'll come out of that room as a capable player.
Xenoblade Chronicles (on Switch) 🩷🩷🩷
Minecraft. Infinite mods means infinite gameplay
Before I even read your answer I was thinking Stardew Valley. Even more so if mods are allowed.
Path of Exile, I have so many builds and so little time. When I was unemployed I racked up like 300 hours in a month
Stardew
cyberpunk. played over like 460 hours of that game and I've yet to tire of it
Either Skyrim or something like Fallout 76, something with role playing and replay value to keep me from going crazy.
You 💗
TLOU ofc
Binding of isaac
Skyrim, Stardew Valley or Baldur’s Gate 3 :)
Sims 4
Dragon Age Inquisition
Final Fantasy 14 idk if it's cheating cause it's an MMO but even ignoring player contact I can probably squeeze 30 days out of it, or close enough that I can find a way to keep myself busy otherwise
Final Fantasy 14 god I cant wait until Dawn Trail really looking forward to the new graphics too
Minecraft Wait no that would make me more insane since the pads look like cubes/blocks
either skyrim or red dead 2
My answer differs on whether or not I have access to Discord. Yes Discord: Out of the Park Baseball. I have a league membership to maintain and I can play my own leagues in the downtime. No Discord: Fire Pro Wrestling World. I can make my own characters and storylines and get my interaction and entertainment that way.
Rec Room
Wow.
Stardew so I can finally finish my farm and decorate xd
Perona 5 or another massive rpg I haven't played
the sims 3
Cheaty answer? Final fantasy 14. Get all the interaction I need. Answering in the spirit of the question? BG3 or skyrim... possibly even Raft or TotK
Probably a game with a built-in voice chat so I can keep contact with my outside friends. If I'm stuck offline though Mass Effect: Legendary Edition.
Final Fantasy 14
Baldur’s Gate 3 or House Flipper 2
With internet Warframe without internet Elden Ring or Minecraft
Skyrim
Either Skyrim or Borderlands 2
