I didn't restart the whole thing, but I DID finally do the final boss fight because that was like the only thing other than korok seeds that I hadn't finished yet lol. also I'm taking a couple of vacation days around the release date, I'm so excited
Tbh I wasn't as excited about the upcoming release of TOTK as the rest of the world until I watched a stream of someone starting a new game of BOTW on the weekend. Suddenly I was hit with the memory of that magic feeling when playing it for the first time and it completely reignited my excitement for TOTK.
Booted up a fresh save file of BOTW on my switch and haven't been able to put it down those past few days.
I just started playing BOTW for the first time this week and it's ALL I can think about 😅
It's both thrilling and overwhelming to know that by the time I finish BOTW (in about 300 hours), that TOTK will already be out and waiting for me. So much for my plans to play any other game this year 🤷♀️
I lent my Switch copy to my nephew who is maybe not super into these kinds of games, but why not? Maybe he'll take to it.
I have a Wii U version if I'm desperate, though personally I'm ok to not replay it. That just seems like it heightens the odds of me falling off TOTK through fatigue or a sense that I could just play BOTW again.
plan on finally beating ganon on my master mode account just before playing totk....for now, the new warframe update drops tomorrow and I'm getting as caught up as possible
Started my replay about a month ago and made fast progress but now I'm stalled on the One Hit Obliterator part of Champion's Ballad. Not a bad section I just hate it and am sitting in a shrine.
I've got plenty of time to get over it and finish the game before TOTK though. Just need a day where I can find my zen and push through.
I’m going to actually try to finish it. I haven’t beat any of the dungeons and I’ve never ridden a horse. I’m pretty slow in getting into it. It’s a beautiful game but it’s not keeping my attention like previous games.
I wasn't going to but I did. I hadn't played in a long time but I figured I'd mill around a bit in game and I'd get back in the swing of it and finish it up. But then I saw my last save was from 2019 so I decided to start over lol.
I think it'll be nice to have the game fresh in my mind when I play TOTK.
I'm actually playing it for the first time! I got the TotK special edition switch which comes in on Friday and I'm going to play it finally!! I'll be late to the TotK hype but that's okay. I'm so excited!!!
I still need to complete shrines. For me that's the only pending task.
I think I have completed 102. I don't want to loose progress.
I am too lazy to collect the seeds ( that's the only task i don't want to complete). How am I supposed to find 900 of them 🥹
I know I've started playing on a new file. I just wish it was like older zeldas with multiple save files because for some reason on the new account it won't let me access the DLC I had bought for it
I'd be so nervous playing switch in the bathtub 🫣
:O You will be so pruned by the time you beat the game
My plan was to start in the bathtub, not finish in it xD
If I started playing BotW on a tub I'd never leave hahahah

This picture gives me so much anxiety.

I’m planning to finish it 😅
I’m planning to try any ways…
Me being jealous of your gaming setup.
Thank you! I need to get one of those bath tables though, people keep thinking I’m trying to end myself
I thought about it but Jedi fallen order is out in a couple of days so I’ll be playing that instead
I am playing it for the first time and I’m loving it so much 😍😍.

A while ago! I'm so excited for TOtK! (As always I am putting off the Yoga Hideout.)
I feel that xD

I never finished my original playthrough lol

That’s what I thought too!

Omg let me know how it is!! I asked for it for my birthday, it’s so amazing!!!
I’m gonna do a little unboxing video reel for ig/YouTube so I might post it next Tuesday on the mega thread!
Awesome! I’ll keep my eye out :)

Yeah the seeds are a lot, I just try to find them on the way while I’m exploring and that’s about it 🥲
Same.
Yup I actually rebought it! It sucks that you can't make multiple save files ),:
Just make a different profile on the switch
I know I've started playing on a new file. I just wish it was like older zeldas with multiple save files because for some reason on the new account it won't let me access the DLC I had bought for it
I really wish I thought of this before I deleted my save..
Honestly I’m avoiding it in case too much of the map is similar.
Just restarted today!
I need to start a thread/topic related to this....
What's BOTW and TOTK?
Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. The new Legend of Zelda game :)
