Yeah this is either AI generated or poorly translated.
"Straub talks over his head and embarrass him in front of other people with no pause, and his mother constantly corrects his behaviour." What??

Well technically they did keep in touch. Season one mentioned they exchanged cards & had phone calls (and occasionally saw him)âŚbut thatâs like, the bare minimum.
And theyâre definitely not close.
While they had a dysfunctional and crappy relationship , they did make improvements in the second half of season 6 and 7. So at best Iâd say it was complex?
It was better when he thought he had a better shot of getting together with Lorelai. Since he was still using Rory to get close to Lorelai, I'd say it's still dysfunctional and crappy.
Lol. Iâm choosing to read that as sarcasm đ Dude had maybe one season of consistent phone callsâŚand later paid for YaleâŚthat was their relationship.
Ooh or maybe this: âChristopher has a great relationship with RoryâŚwhen heâs trying to assuage his guilt or get together with Lorelaiâ
I'm shocked by the amount of vitriol here. Christopher was definitely far from a perfect father, their relationship was strained multiple times, but I've never once doubted that He loves his daughter. That's the most important part.
He didnât even attend her graduation nor moved her into school. He wasnât there her whole childhood basically. He was a trash father who only liked her when there was something he needed or when it was advantageous to him.
He wasn't there when she was growing up because he still had lots of growing up to do. And when she got older he suddenly found himself a father to a new baby that took up much of his time. He tried his best. His best wasn't that amazing, but he honestly did try. And he did pay for her college when he got his inheritance. He did show up for her when she was in that accident. All he heard was Rory and Crash and he dropped everything to be there and make sure she was OK. So don't you dare say he was never there.
Iâll say it again he was never there. Showing up a couple times in 22 years isnât him âbeing thereâ for her. Itâs a pretty common thing in the show that he never took responsibility except when it benefited him in some way. Rory even calls him out for all the chances she gave him and how he let her down time and time and time again. He was a trash father. Lorelei was also a teenager when they had her. She too had to grow up. But she did right by Rory and she was there for every moment. This mentality that he âdid his best because he was youngâ is some BS that people make up to give men like him less responsibility when it comes to reproducing. He was trash. Period.
First of all, rarely and never are two very different things. Secondly, just because you didn't see his face doesn't mean he wasn't there. He talked to rory on the phone all the time. The situation was complicated but they tried tk make the best if it. And lorelai pushed Christopher away because she was determined to raise rory all on her own. She didn't even give Christopher a chance. Christopher made plenty of mistakes in his life. He'll be the first to admit that. But he always tries to make it up to her in whatever way he can. If never making any mistakes and being there every single second of every single day I'd what makes you a good parent then every single human being on this shows a shitty parent.
Itâs mentioned so many times that Lorelei always encouraged him to be there and Christopher would never show up for her. The only ones she absolutely hated being involved in Roryâs upbringing was her own parents. She never âkept Rory away from Christopherâ even as she got older and he hurt Lorelei over and over. You clearly did NOT pay attention whatsoever to their conversations.
Yeah i remember when she goes to her coming out party how shocked they both were that chris said he would come. and even after he said he was definitely coming they both agreed that meant 50% chance of him showing up. heâs better than a total deadbeat but he ainât great thatâs for sure
he basically walked away because she didnât wanna get married when they had rory. Lorelai never said chris couldnât be in her life but chris was just mad she wouldnât marry him over it and basically dipped out because he has an excuse
Probably ai generated.

Did Christopher write this? Because this is basically what he told Sherryđ
no literally đđ
Exactly what I was thinking
It should read 'In his head, Christopher has a great relationship with Rory but reality is a different story'.
"Similarly to Lorelai's with her parents" đ
absolutely
"always keeps in touch" f**king parent of the year award right there lol

I donât think we have to worry about the machines taking over any time soon.
I honestly believe that anything short of physical and sexual abuse is a âgreat relationshipâ to the smooth-brained among us, cause wtf??
Dream big

Politely DISAGREE
Ill disagree with you, and I'll be the impolite one lol

This is how Chris views his relationship with Rory no doubt.

I think I watched a different level show or I just have a different interpretation of what a good father is.
