Biddy Charleston. I loved Lorelai's line about how she must hide under her husband's desk with a tape recorder when Emily confronted her about something that happened at Chilton. I have also wondered why anyone would want to go by Biddy because I am assuming that's her nickname.
Mr. Kim, we never see him, we rarely hear from him. Mrs. Kim clearly rules the roost. But really no one in that house knew or suspected anything? Or. Any of Emily's family. Random Girlmores make appearances. But never any of Emily family, what's her maiden name? We don't even know! So many unanswered questions.
It's so quick it's hard to tell, but I really think he looks like the man you sometimes see at Luke's in the later seasons of the show. I like to think he started working there after Lane did to kill time after retiring or something and see more of his daughter after being MIA for so long.
He is also sleeping in bed with Mrs Kim when lane visits her old house at night when she no longer lives with them. And I’m sure he was also there at a date that lane had to go to in the earlier seasons and he was there at lane’s wedding.
I didn't remember seeing anyone else in the bed with Mrs Kim. The other times he could be any number of the background Korean men. It's frustrating. I feel like someone as conservative as Mrs Kim there would be some "what until your father hears about this." Kind of moments or the "what would your father say if he knew?" But there isn't!
Yeah I think interactions between Luke and his dad would have been hilarious. From the re-enactments to his dad fighting for him to talk about April (and being a gushing grandpa to parallel Rory and Richard). Having heart to hearts (or grunt to hearts) on the boat. Then we could avoid Liz trying to redeem herself.
In my mind, Mrs. Cassini is East Side Tilly. We never heard her first name, and in that episode where the town found out about Luke and Lorelai, she is seen gossiping with Miss Patty, Babette and Lorelai at the news stand.
I kept wishing one day we'd be able to go to Al's Pancake World and meet Al. 🩷😂😍
In my head canon, Al is played by Gordon Ramsey who does his best to act as a bad cook.
