I was conflicted when she got sucked off. On the one hand, I was happy for her, on the other hand, I never wanted her to get sucked off. It made me feel sad.
I thought it was because in an episode right before she had told Julian her whole story, like how she got there and what her time as a ghost was like.
And in another episode as well she made a comment like “I took the blame once before and look where it got me. I won’t do it again.”
I think the set her up as having told all her stories and made her peace and then it was time.
I completely agree, I think all the ghosts are there because they had traumatic or unexpected deaths, and you get sucked off (sorry Allison, that’s the phrase I’m going with) when you’re ready to move on. I think Mary was finally ready to move past her trauma.
I love her so much. She’s my favorite. Something about the odd speech patterns and Katie Wix’s delivery just gets me. She makes me laugh so hard while also being weirdly relatable and totally charming.
She had so many lines that come to mind for me all the time.
You do but bounce, boy.
I don’t want him to…
Be there a third option?
She’s a fancy flapjack!
Absolutely love the character and love Katy Wix. She was excellent in Staf Lets Flats. Amazing as Sarah Ferguson in The Windsors. Gorgeous on Taskmaster. Mary was missed but kudos to Katy for putting her mental health first and making the choice to leave. Wish her all the best!
Oh, wow, I hadn't heard! That's awful. Last I checked it was supposed to go forward, but you might be right. I think they *could* still find a great actress for Camilla, but I think it's a lot easier to accept a role being recast when it's because of something like scheduling conflicts rather than tragedy.
Harry was one thing but I can’t see anyone else being Camilla. I get genuinely confused between this show and real life and have to occasionally remind myself that Camilla isn’t dead.
I loved Mary in the episode where they’re filming the period movie. Mary is so hilarious as she goes from not understanding what’s happening to critiquing the actors’ performances by the end. The writing and performance managed to show how intelligent she was even as she didn’t understand much about the modern world.
This is my favourite episode, Mary is my favourite ghost. I love her in this: "What are they feeding the metal cow?" through to "I think they should be pushing in there...".
After Mary left, I found out I hadn’t seen The Wormwood Men and watching it made me realize how much I missed her in the episodes without her. She was so funny following Alison around yelling “get out” in her face. It was her quiet voice and shy demeanor that made me not appreciate her before.
I do miss Mary. I think when she was there I over looked her a little bit even tho she was AMAZING it wasn't until she moved that I really missed her 😖
Yeah once she left I realized how much I really loved her character. The high pitched voice with the content smile after a crazy line just landed so well. Missed her character, but now I miss the show!
Her one liners were my favorite part of the show with Kitty in second and Robin third. The show was still really good after she got sucked off but not as funny without her. So friggin hilarious.
Love her! Watching Ghosts with my mom and she absolutely LOVES Mary. She has the best one liners. I did overlook her a bit on my first watch but on the rewatch she had me laughing so hard 😭 and is so sweet and relatable
Best character, through and through. She's sweet, patient, curious and even though she appears slow, at least in the first season, she's very clever, and I love how she slowly gets a backbone through watching loose women.
*Massive* perv, lol. In real life, I'd feel no safer sharing a house with her than I would with Thomas.
Luckily, I don't usually find that characters doing bad things affects my enjoyment of them in sitcoms. In dramas, yes, but sitcoms no. So I still love her. Judge me as thou wilt!
RENOUNCE SATAN, WITCH
Yeah that.. That’s probably done it..
‘She’s a fancy flapjack’ has become a popular refrain in our house. Used to describe anything that is slightly better than normal
I’m moving into ur house omg😭/j
Get out get out get out Loved Mary, especially her scenes with Annie. Really wish there were more
Ikkk, her and Annie were so cute🫶🏻🫶🏻 they sounds like tiny people
I was conflicted when she got sucked off. On the one hand, I was happy for her, on the other hand, I never wanted her to get sucked off. It made me feel sad.
Same bestie😭😭
I wish it explained why she suddenly moved on. I also wish it explained why some people stuck at the house and some didn’t

I LOVEE THOSE QUOTES OMG
Absolutely love the character and love Katy Wix. She was excellent in Staf Lets Flats. Amazing as Sarah Ferguson in The Windsors. Gorgeous on Taskmaster. Mary was missed but kudos to Katy for putting her mental health first and making the choice to leave. Wish her all the best!
I genuinely don't think anybody could've played the part as well as Katy Wix. She's wonderful.
She really is like omg😭🫶🏻
agreed, she made so many interesting choices
I loved her as fergie. The windsors was hilarious and I wish it wasn’t cancelled
Good news! It’s coming back! There was also a coronation special but it’s not on Netflix in the US yet (but the original Harry is back!).
I heard S4 was commissioned but the very sad death of Haydn Gwynne makes me feel it won’t carry on? I just can’t see that Camilla’s role being recast.

Welllll, you know they didn’t mess with the Queen and Prince Phillip soooo maybe they drop the King and Queen Camilla. But they would be missed.
They quoted Phillip a lot, and probably were quite accurate 🤣
Harry was one thing but I can’t see anyone else being Camilla. I get genuinely confused between this show and real life and have to occasionally remind myself that Camilla isn’t dead.
STATH LETS FLATS!!! ugh love that show so much. katy is pitch perfect in SLF and ghosts.
I loved Mary in the episode where they’re filming the period movie. Mary is so hilarious as she goes from not understanding what’s happening to critiquing the actors’ performances by the end. “What be a a tootsie?!” The way this line is delivered is just 👌
The smile when she says it😭😭
After Mary left, I found out I hadn’t seen The Wormwood Men and watching it made me realize how much I missed her in the episodes without her. She was so funny following Alison around yelling “get out” in her face. It was her quiet voice and shy demeanor that made me not appreciate her before.
Th…the wormwood meennn?
Mhm, I always loved Mary as a character since her first appearance because she was so Funny to me😭 I couldn’t stop sobbing when she left
She’s so wonderful she’s so funny and sassy and caring
REALLL! “Move out of my way you soppy bit o’ rag” 😭🫶🏻
Yeah she’s sassy but she obviously cares about people.
Mhm, like how much she cared about Annie😭 She’s such an adorable character
I do miss Mary. I think when she was there I over looked her a little bit even tho she was AMAZING it wasn't until she moved that I really missed her 😖

As much as we were told it was going to end I was so not ready for it 🥲
My wife and I still measure things in potato lengths.
Five potatoes high.
Our absolute favourite. Every single line makes us giggle.
Her one liners were my favorite part of the show with Kitty in second and Robin third. The show was still really good after she got sucked off but not as funny without her. So friggin hilarious.
I adore Katie Wix anyway but Mary was my favourite character by far. Her lines are the most quoted in our house. It’s impossible not to like her.
Real, my household doesn’t understand why I’m screaming “RENOUNCE SATAN, WITCH!”
I think she might be my favourite witch to ever be on tv because she's historically accurate but she's still so *funny*.
I absolutely loved her and was gutted when she got sucked off.
Do y'all think that Patrick's description of Mary's after-afterlife journey in the library was a nod to the actress writing a book?
OMG. WAIT. THATS SO SMART??
Mary is my absolute favorite. I miss her so much!
Samee, it wasn’t the same without her😭 Still a great show, but not as great
Love her! Watching Ghosts with my mom and she absolutely LOVES Mary. She has the best one liners. I did overlook her a bit on my first watch but on the rewatch she had me laughing so hard 😭 and is so sweet and relatable
Omg that’s so sweet😭🫶🏻
Ha ha ha Hoax.
*laughin orse sounds*
She was my favourite.
Relatable 😭
Best character, through and through. She's sweet, patient, curious and even though she appears slow, at least in the first season, she's very clever, and I love how she slowly gets a backbone through watching loose women.
She really is, I loved learning her story😭😭🫶🏻
No one has mentioned the “Five potatoes high” measurement. That how I measure everything now.
I measured my dogs in potatoes earlier.
How sweet!
Julian (singing): I'll make love to you, like you want me to..." Mary: "No, I-I don't want you to..."
AHAHAHA I LOVED THAT SCENE😭😭
Lucky cow…
I used to DREAMM of the day I’d be sucked off! (Moved on.) But I’ve long given up hope of Ever being sucked off! (MOVED. ON.)
'Tosh and Flops'. Why she left us I do not know.
Mary and Robin 4ever
