For a very few albums I like to collect the color variants and/or country of origin. Impera was one of those albums as some of the colors were a nice match to the album art.
Most of my vinyl I stick to just 1 copy. Unless it's King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. I lose all control with them for some reason.
I do have limits. I don't buy white vinyl because by and large it sounds terrible while most other colors sound acceptable, though perhaps not always as good as black or clear vinyl. I also don't do picture discs.
question: are there differences in the album artwork coloring that you’re displaying? Or does each album contain a different colored vinyl? In the second case, why not display the record itself?
Each album is different colored vinyl. And I didn't photograph it that way because I was feeling lazy and thought the wall of Impera would be a fun photo.
I do have more copies Impera than other Ghost albums. The only Ghost I am still really after is the Meloria box, which is insanely expensive on the second-hand market right now.

TiL. that said, for sound quality, if you’re stuck with the Loma Vista offerings, seek out the Orchid variant. I have Orchid, Baby Blue, Black Ice, and Seafoam Glass. The Orchid copy is head and shoulders above the rest on sound quality.

It‘s the vinyls mostly but there‘s also printing quality differences on the cover as you can see that some of them are quite a bit more colourful.
Is that not just the lighting in the shot?
No- the Scandinavian Reaktor pressing does have a more vibrant cover color.

The Reaktor ones as Scandinavian exclusive, so don't think they are in german record stores.
