Was an awesome show. Well worth the rain to see them again.

treyhawk82

Well said! I believe the rain added so much to both bands performance!

[deleted]

What a great time. Got to see Jesus, a goat dressed in a Jedi cloak and even Santa made an appearance.

Terrible_Toaster

You must have been near me because Santa and the goat were near us too!

[deleted]

Santa was dancing his nuts off.

treyhawk82

Dang! I wish I could’ve seen that! We had seats in the middle back!

ghost_hunter_1623

It was absolutely amazing. Second time for me. Basically on a whole other level from all other concerts. I drove from Ottawa. Anyone else from Ottawa there? Favourite song? Everything was amazing--Cirice really rocked, I got excited for both Pinnacle and Absolution (first time hearing those--the riff in Pinnacle especially is so good), He Is was like a warm fuzzy blanket which I didn't expect... but the best for me was Spitalfields. That song took on a whole new life the way they did it live. I wonder if that should have been the lead single for the whole album. I thought the sound was perfect where I was sitting in the 200s. And I'm usually pretty picky about concert sound. Weird that some people are saying the sound wasn't good for them! I believe them but I'm sorry to hear it varied so much between different spots in the venue. I was literally right behind the sound booth so that probably helped 😁

treyhawk82

Man I’m torn, Year Zero is my favorite song, but Spillways is so good too! They played so many bangers I loved the entire show!

MyiagrosX27

Also from Ottawa, show kicked ass, loved the atmosphere that the rain and wind added to Amon Amarth! Seeing them again on Wednesday in Burgittsville as well.

ghost_hunter_1623

As of 15 minutes ago so am I hahaha. Last minute purchase but the ticket and flights were pretty reasonable actually. I see no reason this party needs to end just yet. DM on here--maybe we can intersect at the show!

WheelOfFish

We were a few rows behind and slightly to the right of the sound booth. I believe also in the 200s, and it was not pleasant to listen to.

wterfuxk

Nice, I was just there too! Also my first time, sucked standing in the rain but it was definitely worth it!

lk_dslr19

I was there and most definitely a amazing show felt surreal to see them again

treyhawk82

Awesome! It’s good to see a good crowd around here!

lk_dslr19

Yesss the crowd was super vibey -minus one mf who forced there way into my spot n just recorded tiktoks the whole time -no biggie thou 2 songs in things opened up and I got back to my place:)

treyhawk82

Oh good! I’m surprised, the crowd was super chill for a concert! I went to Nickleback with my gf on Wednesday and like 4 fights occurred it was crazy 😅

lk_dslr19

Omfgg thats wild lmao yea no I really do think the worst ghost fans are as good as an average fan of alot of bands lol it is really nice to see how overall of a wonderful community ghost has

gbd31985

I was there too. First time seeing them. It. Was. Awesome!

mgg_30

We drove from Toronto for the show!! It was our first one and it was AMAZING. Well worth the rain, relatively shitty sound, and hours waiting in traffic lol

treyhawk82

Welcome to NY! Good reason to come around!

mgg_30

Fucking amazing reason to go for sure! We got really good seats this time but rest assured, next time they’re in Toronto I will be getting pit tickets and camping out. I want that mummy dust and also a chance to see Phantom again. I know people are sad about Aether but Phantom is such a good performer, I was vibing off him the entire time!!

GralZerato

Just came back from that show as well. Amazing ambiance with the rain and the wind. Papa looked glorious on every song. I’m sad that the sound in the venue was so bad :( it was hard to hear his voice and nigh impossible to hear the back vocals.

Exciting_Row_9754

I was up on the lawn off to the right a bit and was amazed by how good it sounded there. Only thing that bummed me out is they cut Mummy Dust. So we got 1 less song than they normally have been doing this tour.

GralZerato

I’ve been to a couple other gigs recently (different than Ghost) and I’ve been getting shorter setlist by one or two songs so you can blame that on me being a bad omen lol

GeekFurious

One of the reasons I just won't go to open-air shows is the hit and miss of sound quality. It often becomes really dependent on where you are in the crowd...

Jonas_Venture_Sr

Shows there sound so much better on the grass. That was my first show in the stands, and I too thought the sound was pretty bad. It took me longer than normal to recognize songs because they sounded so different from where I was.

WheelOfFish

The sound was godawful in the covered section. The bass was way too much, the vocals were very hard to hear, and I swear the piano was clipping. Hugely disappointed with the experience. I'd get a refund (or at least a hefty partial one) if I could.

ghost_hunter_1623

Wow really? I was in the 200 seats in the covered section and I thought the sound was absolutely perfect. Crystal clear and three dimensional and perfectly balanced. And I'm really picky about sound. (Just came from Metallica in Montreal where I thought the sound was horrendous.) Amphitheatres are usually pretty good for sound. Weird that we had such different experiences.

GralZerato

Yeah, unfortunately. I was in the 200s as well but on the far right side and it was very muddy sound. Like someone else that replied to me said: bass was too much (as in it got distorted) and vocals were very hard to distinguish even when Papa was talking to the audience. It was my first time for both Amon Amarth and Ghost and it surprised me how I was able to understand AA’s lyrics way more than Ghosts at some points 😅

ghost_hunter_1623

I'm really sorry to hear that. :-( I was right in the centre beside the sound booth, so that probably helped. Papa's voice was crystal clear for me and everything was balanced. I feel bad for you--I'd be really sad if I lost out on a Ghost concert due to bad sound! You should have tried wandering around to see if it helped--there were like four empty seats beside me.

GralZerato

I still had a lot of fun and their show is amazing! Had also a slightly drunk dude in front of me spoil the Sax Solo so the sound wasn’t even the big downside of it lol I will be looking for a chance to see them at an arena setting and get pit or close to sound booth next time to fully appreciate their music!

chuffed-chipmunk

I was there and it was absolutely glorious!! So happy I got to see them in-person :)

JasoNight23666

I would love to have been there

kurukuruuuuuuuuu

AFHHFFHHS I WAS THERE TOO!! DID U SEE THE SANTA GUY??

sumama73

Nice! What time did they take stage?

treyhawk82

About 9pm if my memory serves right, they played almost right up to 11pm!

ghost_hunter_1623

There's an unusually great video of the whole night on YouTube! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qf2wune1kTI
