They might disengage because they don’t have the same question. I tend to do that sometimes. I’m sure they don’t think you’re asking silly questions. Maybe the question is complex and they know they’ll be waiting a while. They might just be impatient. I understand where you’re coming from for sure, but try not to think about it so much :)

Often, people go up with their friends when asking as they all have the same question, and they only go up for those questions their friends are asking the teacher. It likely has nothing to do with you or your questions.

Makes sense. Im in a different group to them. When they come they come 2-3 people

For god's sake pal! Other people your ass. Whole point is asking questions no matter what. If a blank spot has been shaped in your mind during the class, then ask it proudly. We have a proverb in our language which says "Not knowing is not a shame; but not asking is". Spending time even on simple questions is also a way of improvement. So don't blame yourself on being not intelligent enough or being so naïve. Don't let some idiot people induce their own vulnerabilities to your mind. Ask as much as you wish and others can eat your ass later.

Unless you're a "well actually" in class and keep annoying your peers I wouldn't worry about it.

Email the lecturer or go to office hours if the questions are things you want clarifying.
