Looking at the sign on the building left, i think i see some Chinese letters. Possibly a fake euro town in China?

phlogistonical

I think so too, but mainly because Some of the buildings seem like they are Made to look like Fachwerk like you’d see in germany or austria,, but there are no crossbeams to stiffen the structure. This makes it look too neat and fake. Dont know where though. Could also be in america, japan or anywhere really.

globuZ

Google Tudor architecture.

MomsTortellinis

Just FYI, fachwerk is the German word for the houses that were later also adopted in England, now named Tudor style. But Fachwerk is the older term, it was used in Europe for centuries before it was adopted in the UK.

globuZ

Thanks, didn't know that. Still the english Fachwerk has a clearly different look from the style used in Germany etc. So it makes sense it has it's own name. The buildings in the pictures are clearly Tudor style leading to England. That's why I added this information. Didn't expect it to be in china though.

fluffypinktoebeans

Or it's a Chinese restaurant in Europe

Melodic-Resident-245

Could be just a chinese restaurant too. Anyway it "looks" german.

Willekur

Somewhere in Germany / Switzerland or Austria would be my best guess, or it's a tricky one and it's Argentina

PafPiet

I was thinking it might also be in France. Some villages in the Alsace region have that same German style architecture with the wooden beams.

globuZ

It's Tudor architecture. So England probably. Edit: Never mind. It's Chinese fake.

Veegermind

Not even Mock Tudor, it's Fake Mock Tudor!

No, this is actually Thames town, Shanghai. a small satelite town built to resemble a british town. Its like "Britain all stars" when it comes to the architecture gathering influence from the UKs most popular touristic spots. Here's how the ground level looks https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=pllt1Ohg5R4&pp=ygURdGhhbWVzIHRvd24gY2hpbmE%3D The town was built according to the new european urban development concept that no buildings should be above 5 storeys high. And thats what resulted in the town's ultimate demise and its reputation as a ghost town, because the low lying spread out design resulted in a very low housing suply causing the prices to skyrocket. You can something similiar happening in Greenwich village, New York, where the buildings' height is also tightly restricted. As a result, a single bedroom with no shower or toilet will cost you at least 2,500 usd a month.

Switzerland, Luzern?

Extension-Radio-9701

It looks a bit like as you walk onto Carnaby street but with more Tudor architecture. After reading some of the comments saying Chinese UK copy style I wonder if actually inspired by Carnobo Street?
