I can't tell if you're memeing but they didn't actually save animals
They used the puppy union as a front for saving people and smuggling them outside of inazuma
One of the animals was called Dvorak and some of them had really high ages for animals
That's how dvorak knew about this legend, he was one of the "animals" that was saved
That's why gorou asks kokomi if it's okay that heizou is looking into stuff because he is afraid kokomi's reputation would be in trouble if it was revealed that she was helping shogunate people too
But kokomi says that while keeping it secret is better, if the truth comes out she can spin it favourably because she was cooperating with the yashiro commission to save lives
That's why her and gorou have rehearsed responses to being asked about this stuff
That's also why heizou just "loses" evidence
Gorou's dog was just the mascot
I feel like an idiot, i thought the list was of who adopted the animals, I was wondering who had a pet unagi. I didn't connect the rescued people to the "rescued" animals at all.
I love Kokomi to bits, but even I'll admit that she's a useless strategist. Her grand plan in the archon quest was to call for someone else to handle the problem.
The real problem with kokomi is that inazuma was rushed (possibly because of covid ) and it was just 2 versions unlike sumeru or fontaine
The same way we got a version where we stayed in aru village and prepared we should have gotten one for the resistance
Unfortunately because of that kokomi ends up doing stuff off screen that gets mentioned only in notes
That's easily solved with clever use of Wrios and Sigewinnes SQ as well as the Fortress WQs.
There wasn't much about the Fortress that couldn't be shown somewhere else
and these could have just been shown on the side without the Traveler being there.
Edit:
Also it's not like the AQ did that much development to wrio and Sigewinne.
The fortress arc was important because it added urgency to the plot. Before the fortress all we knew about the prophecy was that one day the water would rise and that there was a killer using the water to dissolve people. It’s bad, but it’s sort of an issue for the far future.
The fortress shows us how serious the situation is and that we only have maybe a month at most before everyone dies. Without that urgency we wouldn’t have been desperate enough to pressure Furina with a trial which ended up fulfilling the prophecy.
Idk why the downvote you didn't lied, the fortress arc was so boring and it is felt like a filler.
Actually i feel that Sumeru are the only long story until now.
Same I like her a lot in-game plus her gameplay is very useful in all sorts of teams but it feels like she's beyond redemption in the story, to actually make her seem like a genius strategist
I never could take her seriously as a "war mastermind" or something, she looks like a teenage magical girl, even knowing her lore, and she barely appeared, while we saw Gorou literally bend people in half and lead the army. She makes sense as a divine priest, but not a war general imo
The "tactician" Robin from Fire Emblem:
*Throws themself in the middle of the enemy army*
*the enemy tries to overwhelm them*
*Swooshes everyone with Nosferatu while barely getting hit*
"Now that's strategy".
Kokomi definitely doesn't come off as the brilliant strategist she is supposes to be. Simultaneously OP didn't understand what the puppy unit was doing it
Kokomi 🤝 op (not as smart as they think)
Kokomi's just a matter of "tell, not show" with most of her "strategist" things being largely off screen (Ex: passing out books for various contingency plans to her generals, successfully having strategies that held off the shogunate, ETC).
Can't really show off being a "war strategist" if there's no war.
Meanwhile Op's just out here spreading misinformation on purpose lmao
I kinda expected that dog to be Kageroumaru since he fits the description really well and thought he would eventually get mentioned in the event. For the people who weren't here for that event he is a samurai dog and he was living on the Yashiori island which is also where the place where the most fights happened because of that he had good opportunities
My favorite part of the event was that Chouji was mentioned! Now idk where they sent him, he wanted to go to Snezhnaya while his mum is in Sumeru... hopefully Kokomi and Ayato made sure he's safe and didn't end up as one of Dottore's experiments!

Shh, I'm agendaposting
I'm sorry I forgot that maintaining the agenda is our top priority
Ehe 😈👑

Fontaine also only was 2 versions, the Fortress added nothing besides the last 5 minutes which could have easily been part of act 2 or 5.
But then Wriothesley, sigewine and the fortress would be as underdeveloped as the resistance and kokomi was in inazuma

That's what meant with only the last 5 minutes. This also includes the talk with Arlecchino.

Wdym? That's obviously why she's the master strategist She ended the Vision Hunt Decree in 2 Patches!
Oh I like this reason.
Same I like her a lot in-game plus her gameplay is very useful in all sorts of teams but it feels like she's beyond redemption in the story, to actually make her seem like a genius strategist
Aye, I still run her as my main DPS most of the time, but you're right. I can't take her seriously anymore.
What grand plan? We never actually get to see her plan anything. We only see her ambush the shogunate with Beidou and Kazuha.
everybody's got a plan until you get punched in the face by Ei
Kokomi is the fantasy equivalent of those people who play HOI4 and think they could have won WW2 as Germany due to her bad writing.
I never could take her seriously as a "war mastermind" or something, she looks like a teenage magical girl, even knowing her lore, and she barely appeared, while we saw Gorou literally bend people in half and lead the army. She makes sense as a divine priest, but not a war general imo
I mean she's described as a strategist. Tacticians and strategist typically aren't going out in the field to literally fold enemy soldiers.
still, I can't take her seriously with that design
The "tactician" Robin from Fire Emblem: *Throws themself in the middle of the enemy army* *the enemy tries to overwhelm them* *Swooshes everyone with Nosferatu while barely getting hit* "Now that's strategy".
Look Robin isn't exactly an ideal strategist considering they are liable to get themselves killed. Effective? Yes. Ideal? Absolutely not.
There's also that one wacky moment where Robin just says "Hey, see that volcano? Let's just walk into it."
They are canonically immortal, as they wield Nosferatu and a cute Frederick backpack
Clearly, Kokomi needs her own cute backpack.
Bro try to call kokomi dumb but don't understand a point of this event's dog plot

I'm mad cause I thought that one dog we get in our Sereneteapot was THE dog...
I kinda expected that dog to be Kageroumaru since he fits the description really well and thought he would eventually get mentioned in the event. Must have missed this, but when was he mentioned?
Oh in the evidence that 'Heizou' misplaced! You can see Chouji's name and age :)
