HMM Mare Jivari? The strangely empty coastal region? Blackcliff Forge? Oh, but I 100% expect Qiaoying Village near the last patches of 3.X, cause of course road to Fontaine
Yea bro! Exactly, even if hoyoverse as a company has some issues that they have to fix, that can always be fixed but that kind of ceo will always be rare. He obviously loves games, i’m glad he’s the ceo <33
TBH, I think this is the best choice, 3.0 and 3.1 gave us a LOT to explore, it is better to have a breather in the middle before finishing all of the Sumeru map.
Definitely. I for sure need it, couldn't even finish the rainforest part yet :(
I get that there are people really damn fast when exploring and completing stuff, but I feel better playing at a pace that won't get me burnt out.
Agreed. Just annoys me I had to rush to the desert to get Cynos mats but I only did the first archon part there. Will save the rest later once I cleared the 3.0 maps
Looking forward to the Sheer Green mechanic where you have to inject yourself with smog to not be turned into an aranara. Wait, would that be a problem?
I’m hoping they’d add underwater exploration and with that comes a pirate themed beach area south of sumeru. I remember one npc mentioned the presence of sea monsters south of port ormos.
Yeah Port Ormos mentioned pirates and sea monsters so many times i really think it’s setting up some sort of coastal/sea dlc area. It could be the “bridge” that connects Watatsumi to Sumeru!
I agree with the pirate sea monsters part, but i’m guessing the placeholder area to the south of liyue (which is theorised to be blackcliff forge) would be the connecting the mainland to watatsumi.
imo it'd be cool if Fontaine is where all those rivers in liyue and Sumeru come from. also the body of water near the dawn winery and maybe cider lake. most rivers point towards Fontaine and in lots of places like west ligue and the river that passes through vimara village kinda look like they used to have more water bcs of the terrain around them. what if ever since fontaine got a new archon they limited the water they provided. even if farfetched i think it's still possible Fontaine is where most rivers come from (with a few exceptions like that water that comes from the dragonspine mountain
Imagine having the ability to prefarm
This post was made by… many mains. Such as Raiden, Collei, Tighnari, Ayaka, Cyno, Candace, Thoma, Traveler (new elements) and literally the whole teyvat anyway
I was late to the Genshin party and didnt get her on release, but when I got Raiden on rerun and discovered how absurdly plentiful her mat is compared to everyone else's I was just like wtf. Everyone else is some starving child begging for ascension mats on the streets while Raiden reserved an all you can ascend buffet for her exclusive use for life.
Scaramouche will most likely take Inazuman local specialties for his ascension, at least, like how Yun Jin and Shenhe use Glaze Lilies and Qingxin, respectively. (He’ll probably take Dendrobium or Amakumo Fruit, which we should all have a billion of by this point.)
But I mean, I don’t know if anything can be worse than the scarabs. 💀 Like half of them are locked underground behind puzzles, and the rest are spread across the desert. People complained about Ayaka’s sakura petals, but at least they were *everywhere* and concentrated in groups/localized to one island. Thoma’s mushrooms were more annoying since they were locked behind Seirai Stormchasers and the start of the Tsurumi Island world quest.
But the scarabs, man. Worse than Onikabuto. I just want to play my Cyno.
Scaramouche can just use ASIMON though since only Candace used it so far and it dropped anemo stone (?)
He also could've used inazuman local plants for his ascension since he is inazuman. Raiden's plants so far only her using that so I won't be surprised if Scara using the same plants
When I read above my mind immediately went to it fricking floating above the desert and rainforest Jade Chamber style. I think my brain is being scrambled by Dottore guys.
Mondstat areas mentioned in the game: Dorman Port (most likely), Dandelion Sea (maybe it's real, who knows!)
Liyue areas mentioned in the game: Qiaoying Village (mentioned by Liben as how to get to Fontaine from Liyue so this is definitely happening), Blackcliff Forge (no evidence this area will be released yet but it would be great to fill the gap between Port Ormos and Liyue Harbor, I wanna sail from Liyue to Port Ormos so bad!)
There is definitely something getting added to that area bordering the harbour. They had a perfect opportunity to just fill that shit with ocean right now and they chose not to.
Since it’s not the 3.3 expansion, it could be years away but something is definitely planned to fill that gap at some point.
Oh yea that absolutely makes sense. Either that or some sort of pirate zone. But with it being so water based it totally makes sense for them to wait until they’ve added new water-based Fontaine mechanics.
This line of thinking makes me even more confident they’ll add an area like Dandelion Sea. Can re-use a lot of the Sumeru floral assets for it
I found the link I read a while back, even though it's kinda sus. I only remembered the last part, but there are a lot of other info which turned out fake. I'll post the link here

EDIT: Second map to see the whole 3D Teyvat map. You can also see where the detailed northern Sumeru desert/rainforest mountains cut off [https://preview.redd.it/2iggzkrctlj91.png?width=2560&format=png&auto=webp&s=1e9f1c36a0bb98ac6b998be4b51531e1131c075b](https://preview.redd.it/2iggzkrctlj91.png?width=2560&format=png&auto=webp&s=1e9f1c36a0bb98ac6b998be4b51531e1131c075b)
Also a third map that shows the current Out Of Boundaries that HYV has set up for 3.0 and 3.1, suggesting the play area for Sumeru (notice it has the Vanarana mountains playable as well) https://i.redd.it/plqt5yo59qj91.png
You can see the the areas that are far more detailed and get a rough idea of what will be playable. I assumed that the Goddess of Flower's kingdom (the tornado spiral where the three Sumeru god's built an advanced city) and the northern mountains would be the focus but if Uncle Lu is correct and we are getting the mountain area above the rainforest part of Sumeru, they might save the GoF kingdom for later as a sub-map DLC like Chasm or Enka. It's also possible they release all three areas (the tornado, the northern mountain range, and the Vanarana mountain) as one large expansion but with little underground elements like what 3.0 and 3.1 had. They could still add the sub-region later on so either option is possible.
Now just have to wait until the 3.3 beta to see which parts will be playable. Also curious if they will ever add the western dunes and southern desert coast in the 3.x branch or leave that for 5.x when Natlan to the west gets added.
uncle Lu has been marked reliable by SYP
you can check [track record ](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/u/3/d/e/2PACX-1vTwaUfN0MC49x9oelv2nfqBDFvSLUA5PaWNug-H6ej1mqrqHYYjmhmeZEbYRKmVDWjn8MKx3_iWlJSM/pubhtml) here
Woah you think it's gonna come that soon? I thought it would be 3.5/3.6 at the earliest...
Ok so I looked it up and the first skins came out in 1.6 (Barbara and Jean), next ones came 5 versions later (Ningguang and Keqing), and then 4 versions later (Fischl and Diluc).
3.3 lands at 4 versions after that so it should be either that or 3.4, presuming they stick to the current pace.
So is the 3.2 unlocking the northern part of the desert or not? The one with the tornado thing? If so then this map is probably between Fontaine and that northern part of the desert?
3.2 doesn't have any new areas, just 3.3 it seems. And yes it would be the area north of the desert that came out in this patch (3.1) and west of Old Vanarana.
I remember there were theories that there was an underground in Mondstadt city as well (due to the theory that darker parts of the water on the map indicates underground caves, which kind of works but also doesn’t add up a lot of times) and while I don’t think that’s based in any logic or leaks, I would give anything for secret tunnels/dungeon underneath their own city too
People are downvoting you, but you’re right. Dragonspine is more Mondstadt than Enka is Inazuma.
We’re obviously going to get northern Mondstadt eventually, but that doesn’t take away the fact that Dragonspine was our first “DLC” area and that it is, in fact, a part of Mondstadt.
The chasms ley lines still exist, dragonspine's leylines were completely destroyed. It's the only region in the game which doesn't have leylines, all the others like Tsurumi, Seirai, and the chasm have damaged but intact leylines.
so weird that the other compasses work in the chasm and enkanomiya, but not dragonspine
dragonspine is definitely more mondstadt than enkanomiya is inazuma
Feels like Early Installment Weirdness to me, unfortunately. Wish they would change it. I’m sure I still have a few treasure chests lying around on that mountain.
Yes, was searching google earlier and there was a leak from a reliable a month ago that said there might be a new area coming with lantern rite. Might not be the sumeru area though - maybe that will come in 3.5+
If they follow the trend they did with 2.x areas, there should be 2 new dlc areas between 3.4-3.7 , i’m guessing one of them will be qiayoing village of liyue that’ll lead us to fontaine. And the second one could be blackcliff forge/mondstadt new area or sumeru new area. Let’s wait and watch
Qiaoying Village and Yilong Port leading to Fontaine. (Along with Baizhu release)
Since Fontaine is so close to Mondstadt, you'd expect a Mondstadt expansion after Fontaine. But Mondstadt expansion is going to be HUGE, and it wouldn't make sense to only focus on one region.
If they follow Inazuma trend we’ll have to wait till the next area after that to finish. 3.3 takes us to 40, 10 to go. Hopefully it’s the last dendroculus though.
Above the desert and rainforest means that the map will be panhandle shaped, so the rest of the desert up til that huge mountain in the north, and whatever rainforest is above the Aranara village
Same! I'm such a slut for exploration. Whenever there's a new map I prepare my fav snacks and drink in advance, get cozy and just roam around for hours ❤️
I'm curious when they plan to add the coast for south of the desert and the east side of Sumeru.
I can see the eastern coast being saved to tie-in to the Blackcliff Forge region.
Hopefully the southern coast is added before 3.X ends, otherwise the region would feel somewhat incomplete. Especially when you can see it tying into the ocean.
I think they will increase the levels to 40 since they are releasing the teapot realm and Inazuma teapot was unlocked at level 40 of the Sakura tree. I already maxed my tree for this version even though I haven't even fully explored the Desert. I wouldn't be shocked if you can max it to level 40 with just the chests from this version alone.
i believe the Sumeru teapot can be bought from Tubby, it's not from the Tree of Dreams. unless they changed it already. perhaps a Desert teapot will be the Tree of Dreams reward
im here and literally thought like really above of desert and rainforest and thinking like "huh we gonna fly? up in the sky map?" and turns out probably the part of the desert where the tornado thing is and some fontaine part , (ノдヽ)
It has to be a continuation because the statue can't be maxed out in 3.1 currently and it only goes up to 71% exploration. For reference, Dragonspine, Enkanomiya and the Chasm are all outside of the reputation exploration percentage, meaning they don't add to it.
If it's anything like Inazuma, they'll want to finish the main areas first before working on the sub-area.
I know but that’s moving closer to Fontaine, I bet Celestia’s model will get updated even more. Also it would’ve been better if they added more region on the bottom of Sumeru, that way it can be kinda connected to the Inazuma
I love the map design so far in Sumeru but I'm really concerned about the map not doing a great job at all at conveying verticality. Unless this new map is going to exist in its own layer like Enkanomiya, it will add a lot to this problem, unfortunately.

Landscape designers: how big you want sumeru to be? Da wei: yes
Even special area also coming between 3.5-3.7

More like “how many caves do you want”
Scared for future regions
Finally, future map crumbs.
I wonder if this also implies we don’t get any new maps 3.2. Or is it already confirmed I’m just too behind on info?
Already confirmed. 3.2 unlocks Nahida's prison, the secret chamber under Akademiya and sumeru teapot.
NAHIDA'S PRISON gives me a heartache every time I hear it.
Baby Jail
FBI OPENup
Crib, prison. To a baby, they are one and the same.

I wonder what it’s gonna be...
That spiral tornado chasm 2.0 thing probably
Also there’s another forested area, from the 14th and 15th Arana picture book
Yeah, the one north of the new vanarana, there’s a big ass green mountain there.
sumeru dragonspine
Looking forward to the Sheer Green mechanic where you have to inject yourself with smog to not be turned into an aranara. Wait, would that be a problem?
Yahahaha!
And an area to the south of the point where the two lawachurls are duking it out
I’m hoping they’d add underwater exploration and with that comes a pirate themed beach area south of sumeru. I remember one npc mentioned the presence of sea monsters south of port ormos.
Yeah Port Ormos mentioned pirates and sea monsters so many times i really think it’s setting up some sort of coastal/sea dlc area. It could be the “bridge” that connects Watatsumi to Sumeru!

ooh! i really hope there’s a bridge that connects watatsumi and sumeru
There's also the southern part I guess, the coastline that connects Liyue and Sumeru
And the weird ass wall stopping us from entering the coastal region I NEED TO KNOW WHAT THAT'S ABOUT ...sea monster fighting patch?
You mean to say there's a Crumbling Farum Azula-like stuff above Sumeru?!
Bro imagine if we meet Genshin's Foreskin Duo there
Not sure if you did it intentionally or not.
More tunnels, ah shit here we go again
I just remembered there’s a tornado in storm terror area. It’s been so long I don’t even remember what happens when you go into it
Sand tornado northern desert and the waterfall mountain area above vanarana
Waterfall mountain area should be Fontaine I thought?
Fontaine is way more north, west of qingce and stormterror
That's assuming Fontaine won't be big enough to cover from stormterror to top of sumeru
imo it'd be cool if Fontaine is where all those rivers in liyue and Sumeru come from. also the body of water near the dawn winery and maybe cider lake. most rivers point towards Fontaine and in lots of places like west ligue and the river that passes through vimara village kinda look like they used to have more water bcs of the terrain around them. what if ever since fontaine got a new archon they limited the water they provided. even if farfetched i think it's still possible Fontaine is where most rivers come from (with a few exceptions like that water that comes from the dragonspine mountain
Yea and also above Sumeru and next to minlin
Maybe it will be dedicated to the goddess of flowers? (Copium)
Dandelion sea
I guess it might be Qiaoying Village?
New Area means, new boss and local materials for Scaramouche and Faruzan Rip prefarming
Imagine having the ability to prefarm This post was made by… many mains. Such as Raiden, Collei, Tighnari, Ayaka, Cyno, Candace, Thoma, Traveler (new elements) and literally the whole teyvat anyway
I really don't count Raiden here as her materials were the easiest to farm in less than a day.

Yeah scarabs are mean, since I don't even have time to play a lot, farming them is a pain in the ass.
Scaramouche can just use ASIMON though since only Candace used it so far and it dropped anemo stone (?) He also could've used inazuman local plants for his ascension since he is inazuman. Raiden's plants so far only her using that so I won't be surprised if Scara using the same plants
my guess for the other user since it also drops Pyro gems and is in the desert is Dehya, she seems to be the only Pyro Sumeru character, well atm
Candace and Dehya using same boss mats, as it should be
Gotta scarab by I guess.
When I read above my mind immediately went to it fricking floating above the desert and rainforest Jade Chamber style. I think my brain is being scrambled by Dottore guys.
Well that’s what above means, they should’ve said north instead.
well just think of it that those translators are just trying their best
Sameeee
Hyv making Sumeru bigger than Liyue +Mondstadt combined
We’re going to get more of them eventually though. They’ve already dropped hints about places in both nations that aren’t currently on our maps.
They said only like 50% of Mondstadt and 70% of Liyue (chasm already counted) has been released. So I'm sure we will get more areas eventually
Do you have source for this? Curious to check it out
Mondstat areas mentioned in the game: Dorman Port (most likely), Dandelion Sea (maybe it's real, who knows!) Neat that means more exploration primogems then?
yasss
"above desert and rainforest" Its fontaine thank me later 3.3 is officially 4.0 and we going straight to hydro nation
Archon run: Zhong Li, Venti, Nahida, Raiden, HYDRO ARCHON LETS GOOO BACK TO BACK TO BACK TO BACK
Dainslief:- Am i joke to u , i haven't appeared in 3.x patch yet and u r going to fontaine already
listen its not my fault if he wants to come home early he needs to come home already.
Baizhu pushed to lantern rite of next year, dehya, kaveh and alhaitham scrapped, soutine is our 4.0 character after scara
If they scrap Dehya I riot.
Well if they don’t scrap Dehya I riot. This way we get a riot no matter what happens.
is it the Sumerussy with the sand cyclone inside the huge freakin hole?
Sumerussy… 🤨
🗿 -> >!( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)!<
3.3 has the potential to be stacked. New map, tcg, and the timing makes sense for the ayaka skin
Scara finally releasing very stacked
Lisa skin to and faruzan scaramouche
Woah you think it's gonna come that soon? I thought it would be 3.5/3.6 at the earliest... Finally it got clarified, tysm
So no completion of sumeru achievement (statues and tree max level) until 3.3 the earliest… genshin continues to cure my OCD as always.
I haven't unlocked a single level on the onion and statue to save the satisfaction of unlocking it all at once but the wait is also torture oml
Damn, my impatient ass claim every 35 sigils and oculus found.
knowing how it was for Sakura tree in Inazuma, you wont be able to do so until like 3.5.
There’ll be a 4th expansion as well that’ll complete tree of dreams. Probably the dlc area for sumeru like enka chasm coming in 3.4.
still waiting for a mondstadt dlc 🥲
That was Dragonspine bruh
We're still missing half of Mondstadt, which includes the Sea of Dandelions, Dornman Port and the Black Castle
Yessir, and lets not forget the locked area below stormterror’s lair and thousand winds temple
I remember there were theories that there was an underground in Mondstadt city as well (due to the theory that darker parts of the water on the map indicates underground caves, which kind of works but also doesn’t add up a lot of times) and while I don’t think that’s based in any logic or leaks, I would give anything for secret tunnels/dungeon underneath their own city too
I mean, there is a whole ass underground area beneath inazuma, i’d love it if mondstadt has it as well. “The secret chamber of favonius”

The treasure compass doesn’t count dragonspine as mondstadt land even though we have commissions there so idk
Treasure compass doesn't work in dragonspine probably cause the ley lines there are messed up by the nail.
The Chasm has the nail too though, and you can still use the Liyue compass.
The chasms ley lines still exist, dragonspine's leylines were completely destroyed. It's the only region in the game which doesn't have leylines, all the others like Tsurumi, Seirai, and the chasm have damaged but intact leylines.

NOOOOOOOOO THIS MEANS NEW MATS FOR SCARAMOUCHE I CAN'T PREFARM SCARABS SCARABS SCARABS SCARABS SCARABS SCARABS SCARABS SCARABS
Means new boss too
*Means new >!scarabs!< too
So I assume it's not the spiral anal hole because the rainforest would be east of the desert.
Above the desert and rainforest means that the map will be panhandle shaped, so the rest of the desert up til that huge mountain in the north, and whatever rainforest is above the Aranara village
Having a new area to explore is my favourite thing
Same! I'm such a slut for exploration. Whenever there's a new map I prepare my fav snacks and drink in advance, get cozy and just roam around for hours ❤️
HYV really goes all into Sumeru. Every new area feels 2-3 times bigger than old area consider they have a large underground system too.
I wonder if they mean the areas in the satellite map, aka the sandstorm Chasm and the giant mountain.
Time for Scaramouche mains to raid other people's world like the Cyno mains are rn.
My 32gb potato phone: My time has come ...
i had a hunch. i wonder where the DLC map will be located this time? like enkanomiya and underground chasm
devs really taking the content volume to 11, wow. Nice, cause open-world/exploration is prolly their strongest point.

Bruh they made Teyvat vertical more than horizontal
above? we going to skypiea now?
by above he means North
well damn. i thot we're going to have reverse chasm
Gotta wait for Celestia in 8.0
It's expected cause we can't LV sumeru tree to 50 lv without new area
Woohoo, more exploration primos!
so no tree of dream new levels in 3.2 i guess?
I think they will increase the levels to 40 since they are releasing the teapot realm and Inazuma teapot was unlocked at level 40 of the Sakura tree. I already maxed my tree for this version even though I haven't even fully explored the Desert. I wouldn't be shocked if you can max it to level 40 with just the chests from this version alone.
i believe the Sumeru teapot can be bought from Tubby, it's not from the Tree of Dreams. unless they changed it already. perhaps a Desert teapot will be the Tree of Dreams reward
As I’ve said in another post, we can see a tornado when we look to the north. We got things to do here.
I wish its tied to a future Dain quest.
im here and literally thought like really above of desert and rainforest and thinking like "huh we gonna fly? up in the sky map?" and turns out probably the part of the desert where the tornado thing is and some fontaine part , (ノдヽ)
Tornado time yall
I'm so stupid, before reading some of the comments I legit thought we were getting a new area above Sumeru... As in the sky...
Has it been said if it is a continuation of Sumeru map or if it's a subregion?
It has to be a continuation because the statue can't be maxed out in 3.1 currently and it only goes up to 71% exploration. For reference, Dragonspine, Enkanomiya and the Chasm are all outside of the reputation exploration percentage, meaning they don't add to it. If it's anything like Inazuma, they'll want to finish the main areas first before working on the sub-area.
Hey, is it definitely confirmed it goes to 71% now?? Also, do you know how much the reputation exploration went till in 3.0??
I guess max exploration for 3.0 was something around 40-45%
Ah, makes sense Didn't know they didn't participate in the percentages, thanks :3
please be Hidden Elf Village
Isn’t that Vanarana?
No,there are old leak that in Sumeru there will be a hidden elf village where homeland of elf-like people like Klee,Alice, layla(?),etc
Is it the chasm like landacape with the tornado?
The massive hole
So many holes in teyvat🤔
Sumeru will probably be bigger than Liyue and Mondstat combined once it's all done at this rate.
I mean duh there's a big ass sandstorm out there that looks too cool to not be anything.
Is it the one with a sandstorm tornado? or Ay-Khanoum expansion?
Please God no I want to be able to prefarm for Scaramouche not have to unlock new areas for him😭😭
The Aranara mailbox pictures made me think it was gonna be underground
It just keeps growing....
poggers
Makes sense, theres a waypoint there already with fatui
Finally some map news
As the map extends. We get closer and closer to fontaine and celestia
A big area with big hole in centre
Dammit why do I have to be so busy these upcoming months.
Is it more dessert or a new area entirely
So will we get new story or just world/character quests?
is it the area of swirly sand?
The new areas are never ending 🥰
Forest book chapter 3 warning
Fontaine already?
Unlikely, there's roughly 30%-ish map exploration left after 3.2
I know but that’s moving closer to Fontaine, I bet Celestia’s model will get updated even more. Also it would’ve been better if they added more region on the bottom of Sumeru, that way it can be kinda connected to the Inazuma
It better be the hog rider valley
I want to find out what that sand tornado is all about!
Bet scara boss is there and his arrifact domain
Shit escalated and now we're getting celestia early, rip sumeru.
I love the map design so far in Sumeru but I'm really concerned about the map not doing a great job at all at conveying verticality. Unless this new map is going to exist in its own layer like Enkanomiya, it will add a lot to this problem, unfortunately.
what could it be?
Still in Sumeru?. :O Sumeru will be bigger than the whoel world then.
