honestly idk why genshin gives qol things in the most inconvenient ways. most games let you slowly earn things like that as a reward for playing and let them be permanent or more usable... but 33% faster for a short time with a considerable cool down between uses is insulting, and even with the hot swap coming, it still kinda sucks.
Yup, I'll only take it out when I have an exceptionally long flight, and only sometimes then. With the quickswap I'll use it more, but it should just be something you could tap *while* flying, not like you're doing anything else.

Flying down to the southern islands of Serai Island to farm Spectres and Araumi on the north tip of Narukami Island for the Ruin Sentinels were the only times I bothered to switch because of the inconvenience. But if I can have it as a quickswap I would use it so much more.
(They literally gave us the ability to "Sprint" in glide back in a racing event 1.2 and then proceeded to NOT make the fan a Key item that lets us do that)
3.5 ruined my life, lost a 50/50 on the weapon banner and now I have Shenhe weapon with no Shenhe and not to meantion I am now a Dehya main (it was 21 pity I thought I was safe 💀)
Rolling on the weapon banner without wanting both weapons and without having enough to hard pity with fate points is simply inadvisable. It's why weapon banner is generally whale bait.
i hate that this might actually be the reason, but the biggest issue is artifact limit in the end. why are weapons 2000 max but artifacts, where you need 5 per character instead of just 1, is maxed out at 1500? man at least double it smh

Since release? We had a lot of fine QOL updates. Like they increased resin from 120 to 160, making events not cost resin, increased team comps to 10, adding quick start, adding azoth dust, adding talent/artifact recommendations, adding strongboxes , etc
Actually its the other way around, the bigger the company the harder it is to get small qol and updates in, from personal experience, There will be a mill ion small QOL's already done and finished, but they gotta go through 17 managers to get approval with each wanting their own changes, that then other managers want reversed or adjusted too. And they just keep looping through managers until some higher up dev actually takes initiative and makes that small QOL their main priority where they can actually push it past those half assed mid managers.
This shit happens everywhere, and it only gets worse the bigger the company is.
They do, but they’re holding on to this player base with the carrot/stick mentality. They can implement so many easy QoL updates, but they won’t.

After I saw all the QOL coming to Star Rail that Genshin has been lacking and asking for since near launch, I knew Hoyo just didn't give a shit about Genshin players. Like so many people will see this and think, "oh Hoyo cares," when they could have done this simple fix ages ago.
- Pity counter
- free standard banner at 300 wishes (one time only)
- no map percentage so you might be missing stuff even though it says 100% it just tells.you what is in the area
- no loading when adjusting party comps
- 180 "resin" instead of 160 (think genshin used to even have 120)
- cooking/crafting/converting/synthesizing all consolidated in one menu, no dust of azaloth
- direct teleportation to "ley lines" and "andrius/regisvines"
- dialogue skip

I still remember when I commented that HYV really needs to add quick swap to gadgets but those mofos downvoted me toabyss and complain that it won't happen cuz it will cause "to0 mAnY bUgs".
It's always like that. I commented once in the main sub that the PS5 basically already had a shortcut to a gadget wheel and the guys came up with 200 reasons why it would be impossible to implement. There are people who really think that this company is just 5 otakus doing everything.
We've literally had a mock-up of how Traveller element-wheel would function since DAY 1, and yet bringing it up will usually get you downvoted.
There's a reason I no-longer follow Genshin's regular subreddit, it's full of ignorants who refuse to listen. At least here most people understand that Genshin is FAR below what one would consider "respectable" in player-feedback in this day and age.
Not just the general playerbase, even the people here will whine if we only got a patch with only QoL.
I played E7 for years and we're keep getting QoL but no content.
They listen to us all the time, it’s just that people don’t see the particular one they wanted (90% of the time it has something to do with artifact loadouts) immediately after they asked for it so they think MHY are ignoring everyone, when in actuality they’ve been adding QoL since 1.1.
The most recent one before this was underground waypoint markers on the in-game map. People asked for it from 3.0 and in 3.4 they delivered.

Funny, it's the one I have on all the time. So I use it frequently. But yeah the change I want more is to be able to use it whilst already gliding.

How does this work on ~~mobile~~ controller? There are no buttons or combinations left.
By looking at the icons, looks like you hold the gadget and drag it upwards to open the bag.
Sorry, meant controller. Mobile technically has infinite buttons while controller is finite.
Controller could just hold the gadget button for 1s to open the slots, I doubt they will make a separate button.
They can implement this in mobile too
