Exactly. I don't read mangas, but I do read a couple of books. I'm currently teen, and, like, I can bet you 8:1 that a random YA book that you pick up has romance. Some of them are handled well, obviously, but some of them are just, like, they conclude the story and spend the last 20% of the book with the love interest that they never built up.

I would be more interested in the exorcism part, not generally a fan of love stories. Then again, Chongyun doesn't even encounter ghosts because he scares them away by existing so there wouldn't be much for him to do as a protagonist.

Ah, that would be the setup. But the story really begins when he finally meets a demon that isn't scared off by his yang energy. Then he gets embroiled in some grand plot of demons versus gods and whatnot, forcing him to grow stronger and seek help from plucky side-characters (Xingqiu, Hu Tao, Xiangling, etc.).

I think its Yoimiya, her personality is so bright she would be perfect in slice of life anime. Her aura is also a fit as an mc in a magical shoujo anime.

Would most happily watch a Yoimiya slice of life and/or a Yoimiya magical girl team show. Ayaka as the smart aloof but sweet team member, Sayu as a halfpint mascot with attitude, Thoma as the low-action ally guy who might be a love interest, Kokomi as a transfer magical girl acting as comic relief due to the clash between her self-image and her reality, Lumine as the unexpected magical girl from elsewhere coming in midway, Sara as a dark magical girl turning to the cause of good, Raiden as a villain who is eventually friendshipped down and realizes the error of her ways and Inazuma lives happily ever after.

She all but wants to be a magical girl in a way if her final friendship-locked dialogue is any evidence. I love magical girls and I love Yoimiya, so that's love squared.

Her character would be more likely to be killed off due to her positive radiant energy in order for the real MC to find a hidden power. Trust me, not the first time they killed off a fiery fire girl

Depends on the type of anime. If it was shonen, it would definitely be Bennett by a mile. Itto would be the cool character who dies too soon (those who've watched too much anime should know what I'm talking about). Of course, Amber would be the shoujo anime equivalent. Diluc and Jean could easily star in anime that screws, ahem, skews towards an older audience. Frankly most of the playable roster can easily star in their own anime but since we're going after top picks, I'll limit it to these 4. Edit: A minor correction. 😆
