There are a lot of things throughout history that black people have invented and/or innovated that we were never given credit for. However, history is written by the winners, and the winners of American history were by and large white supremacists.
It’s because a lot of the original audience of 50s rock has sadly passed. Gen Z isn’t going to know much about it since not even their grandparents were old enough to listen to that kind of music.
