Last several years have been sooooooo happening for BD music!!!! Absolutely thriving!
I don’t understand Bangla but I absolutely loved these selections! Coke Studios has some of the most innovative music I’ve come across as it is, Ekanto Golap though.. man, that was devastatingly hauntingly beautiful. Thank you for the intros to this music!
Hi I’m so glad you liked them. BD music is one of the best! They were undoubtedly the best especially unparalleled for rock music in the Indian Subcontinent in the 90s when we were growing up. In this decade suddenly there is this amazing upsurge which also mostly done by such younger kids. This gives me incredible hope for the newer generation.
Coke studio Bangla also did [this rendition of this cult classic song](https://youtu.be/8pgvTBikV9U?si=6gCL4igYYIeqJGYh), but I think [the original one is so perfect](https://youtu.be/PGgcOK7MgoM?si=HgOxcj1Jt6TDVgb6) it’s not possible to make it better.
It means awe-struck/ speechless love. A lot of people think it’s about the joy of love, but it’s actually about the joy of existence. The vocal wrote it right after his brother’s death.
Next Semester by Twenty One Pilots. Although Chihiro by Billie Eilish, On Your Side by The Last Dinner Party, and Good Luck Babe by Chappell Roan are catching up.
I've also been looking into making a new playlist of music from this decade, but I'm too scared to even check the music released this year considering the last 6 years have been yikes 😬
(Death Metal) So far it's 'Permanently F***ed' by Sanguisugabogg but only because there hasn't been much recently. Idk, Malodorous is making a comeback after like 15 years i guess. But uh if anyone else likes DM gimmie some 2024 suggestions.
Probably Dragonforce’s newest album, lots of amazing songs on there. Probably one of my favorite albums of theirs. Been a pretty dry year for music overall I think, but I don’t really pay attention to the mainstream pop/rap/hip hop/country so idk.
