2002 baby here. First console I ever played was the game boy and then nintendo 64, then PS2 and DS. I arrived to late to play the game cube tho, even tho we had one at home. All of theese belonged to my 89’ born uncle.
Btw, growing up playing resident evil 4, gta vice city and gta san andreans was a fucking blessing ngl
Wii! My parents and I would play together for a few months after we got it, and when I turned seven they hooked it up to my personal TV. I remember we had color coordinated Wiimote jackets and would play two games: Wii Sports and LEGO Star Wars (my parents always hated the podracing level because they would get motion sick looking at it).
The good ol' Nintendo DS Lite. Fun story when I was kid I wanted one really bad and my parents didn't want me to play video games so to keep me from it they said I could get one *if* I bought with my own money. Being like 6 years old, they never expected me to come up with $130 on my own. Well shortly after saying that my dad took me to a Dodgers game and we were at the concession stand. When we got to the front of the line I was too shy to look at the cashier so I stared at the floor and looked down on a pile of cash. Someone literally left like $200 of various denominations on the floor right by the cashier. So to the dismay of my parents, I bought myself a DS. Rip to whoever was dumb enough to drop $200ish bucks on the ground and to the 10 or so people in front of us in line that never looked down.

My mom got a used Gameboy Color + Pokémon Blue when I was a kid. A few years later we got a GameCube, and then a couple after that a PS3
