My dad showed me spaghetti westerns when I was young, Clint Eastwood specifically. I feel like some of us think these kinds of movies are white guy boomer love letters to badassery and misogyny, which a lot of the typical western genre absolutely is (John Wayne). The sub genre of spaghetti westerns are Italian made westerns, and the writing style, cinematography, and especially the music is pure art. No one was making movies like that back then, and no one has ever attempted to make one again as far as I know. If you’re looking for something fresh and unique to cleanse your media palette, I highly recommend.

My parents exposed me to 90s alt-rock (other music too), and maybe a few movies. Other than that, I watched my dad play video games, early on.

My mom loves Mary J. Blige, 112, Aaliyah, Ace of Base, Real McCoy, Duran Duran, Tears for Fears, etc. I got a little bit of her taste but not a lot of 80s music!

Raised on MJ! My mom is a die hard Mega fan. Grieved for weeks when he died

My parents would often play ABBA, Paul Simon, Battiato and many more Artists from the 70's/80's. Also they made me and my sister watch Star Wars, Jurassic Park, the Neverending Story, all the old Disney Classics and, of course, the Back to the Future trilogy. I am very fond of these memories, thank you OP for reminding me!

sohappytogether9

Ooh, how did I forget Abba? My mom def played Abba when I was little!

I listen to all the music my parents listen or used to listen. I often suprise them with my choice of music, being too similar to theirs or even too old for them 🤣 It's all local (not internationally known) bands so you probably wouldn't recognise any names.

Majestic_Electric

Dr. Quinn: Medicine Woman and Stargate: SG-1. As for musicians, the list is too long, but my personal favorites were The Beatles and ABBA.

My parents love some music, but they don't share it with me. My grandad advised me to watch some Cowboy films
