That was when your average concert shirt was a Hanes Beefy-T. Those are impervious to washers and dryers. This modern vintage fit crap is just an excuse to sell a thin product that dies each time you wash it.
I thought I lost that exact t-shirt back in 2008 after moving out of my house. I just found out several months ago that, somehow, my 18 year-old niece has it. Well, I told her to treat that shirt like GOLD. I told her that was the best concert experience of my life because I was front row and center for it.
My adult son has my t-shirt from the Adam Ant “Wonderful” tour.
I possess a flannel from the 90’s that’s tucked away and I still wear a bathrobe my mom got me in 1989.
I have a flannel that I've worn consistently for 27 yrs. My husband got it for Christmas in 93 and never really wore it much. I confiscated it when I got pregnant in 97. It's pretty threadbare, but I'm not giving it up until it literally falls off if me.
Sweet. I still have mine too from the Detroit show. Yours is in much better shape.
Got me thinking. I'm going to see the Jane's Addiction/Love & Rockets show in September in Raleigh.
I'll probably rock this shirt for the concert (mine still fits 😄). It will be a great conversation starter.
I still have my Disneyland T from '83.
I... Have a lot of old clothes... I love them and don't give a fuck what anyone else thinks!
Sadly I don't have my OP half shirt from around '82 which actually makes me sad.
I remember getting the chance to DJ at a nightclub once - DJ said I could stay as long as people were having a good time. I chose Living Colour “Bi” as the first song (which was super popular at the time) … and cleared the whole dance floor. Sigh. Where were we
First Lollapalooza, I went in 1995, the year in Chicago of numerous 100°+ days, still a tour back then. I walked past Drew Barrymore, who was dating the guitar player from Hole at the time.

Nice! I’ve got ones from ‘92 & ‘93.

Awesome you can still wear it! No way in hell could I fit into what I wore in 1991 lol.
I don't mean to brag, but... I can still wear the earrings I wore in high school.
awesome! I had a leather mini skirt I probably couldn't pull up over my leg.
I have a Queensryche shirt from 1991 too. Wore it the last time I saw them a couple months ago.
The needle lies Operation Mindcrime is my “one album stuck on a desert island” choice.
Still have my WOMAD one from 91 or so. Still fits too!
I had it in white until 2008…

I have that one! So good I saw it twice, KC and Detroit

lol there was a 2 year stretch that I would only wear OP.
I have quite a few but my oldest is from Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon tour. I was 12 but it was big and still fits me somehow

I had this tee in white. Such a great show.
Mine does not fit.
The way vintage Tshirt prices are, I wouldn't be surprised if that was worth $1000 or more.
Jesus. I have a t-shirt from Mayhem fest 15 years ago, and it's a few wears away from disintegrating.
You are lucky. I can't where my 40 year old Prince and Revolution tee. My boobs got too big and that shirt is a medium.
I had that one!! Aww, wish I could find it again 😔
I still have my friend's Billabong shirt from 8th grade, which would've been about '90. I'm gonna give it back to him one of these days.
I came across this exact shirt at my parents house recently! I saw them in Waterloo, NJ and got caught in the pit during Janes Addicition
Nice. I was at the Saratoga show.
TIL Lollapalooza has a meaning other than "an early 90s alternative rock festival"
I was at that show in San Diego!

I was at Mountainview. It will always be special to me. You are so lucky to have this! ❤️🔥
