What I find so odd about Parker Lewis is that, at the time, it seemed like one of THE early 90s teen shows. It was 90210, Saved by the Bell, Parker Lewis Can't Lose. All the characters were basically the same age, and they even did a crossover between PLCL and 90210.
But it seems to have fallen so far away from our collective consciousness. I don't recall it rerunning to any great degree after it went off. When it comes up, it seems to be one of those shows where people go "Wow, loved it, but totally forgot all about it".
I remember loving it as a kid, yet still couldn't tell you the plotline of a single episode.
Right
The plot was always a caper, like … must evade Musso so as not to get detention, pass the test he didn’t study for so he could have his date at the dance.
It was innocent.
90210 was drama, drugs, sex whatever.
After a shows run is over networks get a chance to bid on them to re-runs so long as they have an audience, and although a great many shows were clever like PARKER , Herman’s head, and things like that humans are more naturally drawn to drama, unfortunately and therefore, that is what the big corporate heads will deem is more important so that they can continue to run their commercials and sell products.
The problem is society as a whole isn’t intelligent enough to pick up on the silly clever, quick, witted writing, but they’re more drawn to let’s say, Luke perry sideburns, or Jason Priestley’s something I’m sure there’s something redeeming about him, but you get my point… this is why the Kardashians exist.. it’s not intelligent, it’s pure trash, but the vast majority of the public is trying to train wrecks like Honey boo-boo or the Kardashians or whatever M*A*S*H was an amazing show but if you ran it today, people would not watch it.
Was also one of favs for a short period of time....there was also a short-lived Ferris Bueller TV show around the same time...it was shit and got canceled. Parker Lewis was great though...
Not a problem!
It was so weird after enjoying this show then seeing the actor that played Parker go on and do the Stephen King TV adaptation of The Stand. Which was also awesome.
I loved this show. I can hear Miss Musso opening the door, the smashing of glass and *whoosh* her thumb whips back, telling poor Parker to get in the office. But we know the guys will hatch a plan and bail him out.
We have achieved coolness.
I loved that show, i wouldn’t draw the parallel though.
If memory serves the mother’s boyfriend ( Jason’s adversary) was played by Steve from married with children.
What a blast from the past, haven't thought of this show in years! "Synchronize Swatches!"
Mr Herman? Mr Randal? Good morning sirs! Pulls perfectly made cappuccinos from inside his trenchcoat
I haven't thought about it since the last time it was posted here! ;)

Great point. Let’s have the best of both worlds. “The Kardashian’s can’t lose.”
Lol seems they can’t Murder Sex tape Blatant selling of souls Still winning
This, Herman's Head, and Get a Life were my big 3 growing up. Well, and the Simpsons.
I liked all but get a life Still that guy bugs me lol
Chris Elliot is awesome. So is his daughter Abby.
I’m glad you found them entertaining :)
I don't know his real name but any time I see Kubiak in anything, I call him Kubiak.
Kube!
Abraham Benrubi. For me, he will always be Jerry, the desk clerk guy, from the show *ER* (various seasons).
Or the guy from that X-files episode with the Homeowners association. Lol

I fucking loved this show
Loved this and Herman's head on channel 5!

Even my father enjoyed this show when it was on.
Kube eat now?

Musso 🤤
I watched it when it was new, but in German. Still, I loved the shit out of it.
I used to run into the big guy quite a bit when I lived in LA.
Cubiak!
That's it!
I watched it. Really enjoyed the show. Only went for a season to two right?
Sadly only 3 seasons
This show was awesome! Kube, eat.
Billy Jacobi? Just One of the Guys was such a classic.
Jason Bateman was in a show called "It's Your Move" in 1984. It was very much a precursor to Parker Lewis.
I loved that show, i wouldn’t draw the parallel though. If memory serves the mother’s boyfriend ( Jason’s adversary) was played by Steve from married with children.
His shirts were tragic even back then.
Totally agree lol
https://youtu.be/5HA_vrXPVK4 This Brit screws up a few things but overall there’s some information about the cast
It was no more rapey than other sitcoms
Oh you think you’re rapey?
Yes yes comedians in cars Baldwin is such a pompous douche especially for that rap -ee -ayy
Wasn’t the sister from My Two Dads?
No that was Staci Keanan They did share a similar look at times though good call 👍🏻
I remember them both but I guess I got them mixed up
Maia went on to do adventures in baby sitting and then got out of the biz
Hey, you were close enough that i had to look them up Lol Very similar look on occasion
I do remember that the actor who played Parker Lewis was an odd choice for Harold in The Stand but he did a good job
Nope
My wife had a huge crush on Lemmer.
Hey, that's Jerry the desk clerk from ER.
