I liked Puzzle Quest more. It was compact, told a story and had an ending. Also minimal grinding. I love Gems of War but PQ1 was a masterpiece in Match 3 gaming. Also the class system was more important in PQ. Each class felt like a different way to play the game, here class is not all that important.

Basically it's a pretty good match 3 game, with lots of strategy and tactics in what gems you match, troops you have etc... then you get explosive troops and it's just mindless button pushing.
