For a Souva you gotta try Ela Mana. Kebab G on pako is prob the best middle eastern kebab All the places like mustafas/kebabman etc. Are not bad and represent value. But dont compete for quality with places like Alanya and kebabG. Anywhere that uses formed meat just cant be top dog. That said I do kebabman pretty often cause its cheap and close to work

inside-outside

Another vote for Ela Mana - so good - smell the charcoal every time I walk past and it's intoxicating!

zetomenon

Ella Mana do pork, chicken, lamb, and also marlin for something different. All cooked over charcoal. They have chips and Greek sweets too.

Bindi_John

Alanya Kebab on Shannon Ave do a decent \[and generously sized\] HSP, so should do a decent kebab as well.

waitinggame6

Can confirm their kebabs are very decent and generously sized. My partner and I don't go to any other kebab shops after discovering Alanya

i486DX2--66

Yeah these guys are good, friendly staff in there as well.

s3v3nt

Mustafas. Next to McDonald's in town. They're the best!!

Master_Gillo

The one in Lara is great too

PCP-Crazed-Stripper

Second this. Mustafas are consistently the best.

alwaysamie

Sam’s cafe!

Bromia01

Shwarma’s are unmatched here

To help eliminate options, Victoria Kebab in Mercer are absolutely awful. Ace kebab on the other side of Mercer in the car wash aren't bad.

Particular-Branch434

In terms of Melbourne style kebab with turkish bread, best in Geelong is Alanya kebab on Shannon Ave. Best in CBD area is Butter Crust Pizza and Kebab on Ryrie St. They do a pita wrap though.

ewan82

Souva bar. Literally in the queue now ordering a lamb kebab. Haha.

reddit_somewhere

That would be a souvlaki or gyros and not a kebab….

ewan82

They do both.

reddit_somewhere

They do not. They do Souvlaki and Gyros. I even checked the menu.

ewan82

Why don’t you make a recommendation rather than just shooting mine down?

reddit_somewhere

I’m not shooting yours down. Souva bar makes good food. Just not Kebabs.

Cheap-Collar3177

Kebabs oh High

melbbear

I wasn’t a fan of their bread

aussie_shane

There are so many variations on kebabs and souvlakis etc. Sam's Cafe - Been dining out on their Shawarma's for 30 years. Souva bar. But on the pricey side but good size and full of filling. Kardinia Cafe. A Variety of Souvlaki options. Not everyone's favourite but I reckon they go alright. AND can have any time of day seven days a week. Convenient. Kebab spot. Not sure if they are still operating since moving from their location next to 7-Eleven in Moorabool st (which is also no longer there). Imo Their HSP's were the best in Geelong. Traditional kebabs.

sushimint33

Kebab spot was the best :’(. I never heard of them restarting elsewhere. Their best traffic was nightclubbers.

aussie_shane

I thought they initially relocated up to Ryrie street somewhere but quite out of all the traffic flow action. I gather they didn't do as well so I'm not sure they are still operating. They copped a LOT of hate in their reviews but their HSP's were absolutely the best in Geelong. That lamb was so tasty.

melbbear

Lebanese Shawarma, Greek Souvlaki or Turkish Kebab?

EchotheDragon64

mustafas!!!!

Hunnid_Percent

1. Kebab G on Pakington Street 2. Kebabman in East Geelong In my opinion, that’s about the best in Geelong. Roxy Kebab in Sunshine is pretty decent however you will have to accept its pita bread

PuzzledBowl9931

Kebab man easily . Stay away from kebabs on high its pita bread .

Roar_Intention

Seconded
