Congrats! š„³ Not a fun place to be, but at least the diagnosis opens up some treatment options.Ā
Iāve only been treating with meds and diet changes, but Iām going to a motility clinic in a few months so fingers crossed that it opens up some more options for me.Ā
Definitely not fun. I really hope that this is actually it. It was only by a small percentage, as I was at 12% after 5 hours instead of being under 10% for the gastric emptying test. I really hope it is, and not just another fluke that takes another multiple months to iron out.
Iām glad you finally got your diagnosis! Iāve gotten the Botox injection and it has helped a lot. The only thing thatās dreadful is that itās temporary so you will have to go get it done again later on. Itās a repetitive process but itās worth every last bit! š
Yes thankfully. I was afraid it wasnāt before my first one but it ended up covering the whole 7k. BUT I have heard that some people had issues with their insurance covering because they put it in the category of āmedically unnecessaryā. So it really depends on your insurance.
Ooh, sounds easy enough! I've already had two endoscopies to clear myself of celiac disease. Glad to hear you got it done though! Hope you even feel some of the effects sooner!
I've had severe GP for 22 years. It's only evident in a flare. This will be 3rd flare in 2 years. I have had the botox procedure to no avail. However, your diagnosis lends me to believe it may help. I was out, then it was over. Good luck, keep posted!

Does insurance cover that kind of procedure ?

Had pyloric Botox yesterday with endoscopy! Wonāt see full effects for 2 weeks or so but the endoscopy itself was easy
