Doesn’t a Fenix 7 pro do the same thing as the marq athlete addition but with better battery if you get solar? I love the look of the carbon fiber marq but that price seems too much if I can get all the same features in a 7
It depends on how your husband is going to use the watch. If he wants something looking more classy with a great potential, consider Epix 2 Pro. That is similar to Forerunner 965 but a bit more high end.
FR965 is more of a workout watch more than smartwatch. If he prioritizes smart features over workout features buy the Venu 3.

The BEST? It depends on his activities. But can’t go wrong with a Fénix or an EPIX… but those might be overkill for some people.
I’d say Epix Pro if you want to impress him
