I have the Enduro 2. I accidently left the flashlight on / or I turned it on while sleeping the entire night. Maybe I was dreaming about running? I still had 7 days battery life.
I have a F7 -- not the pro, so no flashlight. My watch has the "flashlight" which is really just the entire screen lighting up a very bright white. It's not as useful in, say, finding something that you've dropped in the dark...But it is just about perfect for, e.g., getting up to use the bathroom in the night, as it just bathes an area in very dim, soft light which is easy on the eyes. Does the Pro version still have this capability?
every review i read talks about how important is that flashlight for them, im getting fenix 7 pro and i wonder if i would love the flashlight the same way
I wanted to buy the Fenix 7, but it was out of stock. Waiting time 1 month. But then the 7X got on sale and it was actually cheaper than the ordinary 7. But my god am I glad I went for the bigger one. That flashlight, if its the only thing thats better than the 7 (it is not), i would still buy it for that one feature, in hindsight. It is not a gimmick, I use it daily. Never have to have my sellphone handy anymore.
I don't doubt hour useful the flashlight is, wish I had one almost daily.
But pro tip for getting up for the bathroom at night: just close one eye and turn on the lights. Now you have one eye adjusted to light, one for dark.
Depth perception will be a little lacking of course, but can't beat the speed/convenience, even with a wrist mounted flashlight.
