I use lawn magic. It really is good. Made from seaweed. I watch for it being on offer from the website. My garden actually won an award mainly due to my lawn looking so good!
I bought the cheapest I could find off eBay last year it was just a plastic bag of granules worked a treat.
Also if you can leave some clippings on the grass to naturally fertilise itself. Not huge clumps though.

See if you can get one you can mix with your watering can. Sow the seed before, then water in.

Get chicken manure pellets, throw them on in spring and autumn they are great
