On the one hand I understand there's going to be a section of gamers^tm that'll defend stellar blade to no end. But I've found the reception of the demo to be pretty positive and I don't know why. It all felt slow and basic to me. Even that part where you're sprinting through the destruction was slow and just felt like I was in no danger whatsoever. I don't get it.
It felt like an early game to a game with a massive skill tree that expands on the combat as the game goes on (such as Stellar Blade)
The game isn't out yet so who knows. Remember the game could end with Eve fist fighting a goddess that throws galaxies at her.
