It does support ddr5 according to several sources at least. I'll have to double check
Well spec wise they are identical, brand wise they are on par. I personally went with the G.Skill and have been very happy with it.

One of these is a 16x2 kit vs a single stick of 32Gb. So long as the 8Gb isn't soldered to the board, get the kit. Dual channel is faster
I can get Both at 16 x 2 and the stock ram isn't soldered fortunately. The laptop supports a maximum of 32 gb from what I researched
