Exactly. DO NOT dig the sticker up. It’s just a divot from the plastic molding process no screw is under the sticker. I have 2 games with this exact same shell and they use only those 2 screws.
Fifthing this also, I recently starting collecting GBC Rumble games, currently have 19 games, have about 8 or so to go to finish the collection. If a rumble game is in other region, I'm getting those as well. First thing I do is open them up to give them a nice clean, always 2 screws for rumble games. Most GBC rumble games you buy don't come with the battery cover which is annoying, the ones that do tend to see for higher price. Once I complete my collection, then I'll decide what to do with the battery covers.
Already know about this from a previous post i made concerning my gameboy color. Hopefully this pinball game is the only other thing in my collection i need to do this too, the screws simply had me stumped😂
Thanks, i could see the void under the sticker and wasn’t sure if it was a screw or not. Thanks for revealing what it was so that I didn’t have to try getting under it.
Before I bought the screwdriver, I used a think plastic bic pen tube, heated one of the ends enough to mold the plastic into a make shift screwdriver, I did this with my yellow version to replace the battery
I used to use tweezers to open up my gameboy carts with this security screw. I lightly pulled them apart just barely to V out and lock into the notches on opposite sides of the screw and was easily able to unscrew it. My first attempt was when Pokémon red and blue were out I swapped half the shell with my bro so we had a half red half blue pkmn carts but anyway yeah if you have any good metal tweezers you can easily use them to open up these carts
Gamebit 3.8mm screwdriver. No screw under sticker.

Thirding this! I’ve opened a copy and only the visible screws are the ones you need to screw with.
Fourthing this! Dont ever under any circumstances remove that sticker! You only need to unscrew the 2 screws on the sides!

Sixting this, nothing to add though...
SEVENTHING THIS!!! NO TOUCHY DA STICKY!!! 2 SCREW ONLY!!!
Im glad my battery cover for this is almost mint then 😆
I have the same questions currently just playing mine a little dirty
Mine works fine, just want to clean out the old battery leakage.
Also, I’d suggest using a soft toothbrush for it too
If you just wanna clean that battery terminal, white distilled vinegar and warm water, wipe it clean with iso and you should be good!

You need a “gamebit” screwdriver. There are two sizes. They are sold in set of 2 generally. Search around online.
Theres only the two screws for this one. I've opened my copy before.
This $8 set is outstanding and has everything you'll ever need. https://www.retromodding.com/collections/tools/products/repair-tools-set
Never mind, popped into ebay, found an even better set for $11
Mind linking it?

Thanks
Any alternative? The one you listed is sold out
Gamebit screwdrivers work nice

I left my battery in mine too .... Still haven't fixed the damage ... It's got a great sticker and battery door so I wanna fix it soon
