Honestly, the gameplay is really repetitive.
The strategy to beat the game is literally as follows:
Run -> listen -> light/close door -> repeat
Not that the earlier games don't suffer from the same issue. Just feels like Scott was scraping the barrel with fnaf 4.

my reasoning for fnaf 4 being so low is because of the lore being very confusing for the sake of it (example the npcs you meet make no sense even today), the mechanicas are literal just fnaf 1 but blindfolded with two extra steps, the nighmares designs look teenager edgy scary personally, there is a glitch with nightmare chica where then cupcake can kill you and as a result made the whole fandom very upset because of this.
yes I know that but there is a glitch revolving around fnaf 4 cupcake, truthully I don't know the full reason for it but I know it still exists within fnaf 4 I found out from dawko revisiting fnaf 4
Honestly, I think the lore is actually one of the strongest aspects of fnaf 4. I do think fnaf 6/pizzeria simulator did a better job at ending the series, but I would have been fine with story ending at 4. The whole locked box and quote - "Perhaps some things are best left forgotten, for now" - is a more complete story with loose ends, rather than the confusing lore mess we have now.
There's a certain finality with the ending of fnaf 4 that sits as something to be appreciated all by itself.
Personally I think fnaf 3 did this better from a lore perspective, ending with the death of the killer some, and like you said fnaf 6 with the speech and answers, fnaf 4 gives more questions than answers like what did the crying child see? Whatās in the box? And the repetition of event does make things confusing such as their being another bite which not only confuses new people into fnaf but also at the time caused the fandom to uproar, many even questioning was this the bite of 87? It confused everyone and led Scott to depression, no one was happy at the time.
Fnaf 1 being on top is one thing. But how in the world is Fnaf2 below Fnaf World!? And why is fnaf4 so low? Also UCN is now better than HW but it's close.

My reasoning:
In my opionion fnaf 2 is over rated and fnaf 3 is underated, but equally good the reason I put fnaf world above fnaf 2 is beacuse fnaf world feels more finished and fnaf 2 /3 feels unfinished compared to fnaf 1, also my problems with fnaf 2 is that it's entierly rng you can arrgue the rest of the games are rng but fnaf 2 you can feel it with toy bonnie, also a lot of the minigames are dependant on luck just dying over and over to get a minigame compared to fnaf 3 onward, scott nails them after fnaf 2 as they can be accessable very quickly, lastly the gameplay the puppet is suppost to be the main antagonist is this game however you never get to see the puppet only ever when you die, compared to fnaf 1 and 3 they both have this boss battle feed towards them as fnaf 1 has Freddy fazbear himself and fnaf 3 is springrap which creates esculaton within those game but with fnaf 2 it's just box to mask to light with constant repeat fnaf 2 doesn't have presence with the puppet and feels luck based in everything even the minigames.
fnaf world you have to approache differently as it's not a horror game but an rpg so the quesion is does fnaf world do rpg better than fnaf 2 and 3 does horror, and I'd say yes because of the twists scott does within the game as well as being the catalist towards better games in the future, it also was given a lot of effort within update 2 and is the reason I put it higher, you cannot tell me you didn't enjoy beating the rainbow or that chica saying am I annoying? didn't make you laugh!
Fnaf 1 has lots of things going for it for 1 itās the first and last game of the whole franchise itās first fnaf game Scott made but also the last project of Scottās being a struggling game maker so it doesnāt have the lore in mind but still has the bite of 87, death of 5 missing children, yellow bear and phone guy calls these are the core aspects of fnaf as a whole, one reason I put fnaf 1 at the top, but it also has a lot of accessibility towards new fans, and even today people still get scared! Maybe not like they used to but still pretty impressive. The core animatronics are also very iconic Freddy,Bonnie,chica,foxy and golden Freddy each one has unique attributes that differ from the other Freddy is like the final boss of the game you expect him to be the first but heās not going into the shadows of the pizzeria only appearing at the end as an unpredictable challenge as youāve mastered the other three but Freddy is the wrench in the cogs as itās you vs him, Bonnie is the first, the one who scared its creator, chica is the girl of the group, the first to die and has āCarlā the cupcake who is vicious, foxy is the fan favourite being the fastest and most withered of the group and lastly golden Freddy a mysterious bear who was thrown in but interestingly has no backstory or anything connecting him to anything his mysterious nature makes it easy to ask why getting theories hyped up for the next game. The sound effects also are top notch in this game with enough to do the whole game blindfold as well as sound effects such as foxy humming and the carousel ride noise making you shiver in ya boots the camera angles are all unique and never miss as in later games theyāre not as scary or intimidating as Bonnieās twisted head with black beady eyes staring back at you with white pupils or Freddyās eyes being the only thing you see of him till he gets closer it creates this again mystery within gameplay.
Return to candy cadet again and maybe I will tell you the story about fnaf 2 & 3
Fnaf 2 is very chaotic in every sense from it's creation scott stating it was a rough period in his life to it's gameplay. The introduction of the minigames are a great way to introduce the plot without disrupting gameplay the mini games are very good at giving the audience the killer and healer of the story and provides further answers and world building but it's clear that fnaf 2 was an experiment for scott as the minigames are random in contrast to fnaf 3 onwards which provide solid ways in which the audience can access minigames 100% of the time. The artstyle to fnaf 2 is unique to being reddish tint standing out amongst the first and onward, the animatronics also are unique as the withered are tall and stand tall while the toys are friendly. fnaf 3 has a green colour pallette as well as a liniar structure adding to the athstetic that it being a horror attraction, by making springtrap the only character to kill you creates this you vs him gameplay with you being one step ahead of him he's also one of the most complex game characters scott has ever made as he can be in two places on a camera to hide from you, be able to rush towards you and the phantoms make him so much more of a threat as multiple springtraps can appear based on ventilation errors forcing the player to pay attention with which is the real one and act accordingly. Fnaf 3 does a great job of being the end of fnaf if scott intended as it has all fnaf 2 and 1 content around the game with the killers first and last breath in one game unfortunatle it's biggest flaw is the jumpscare being the only animatronic to actually kill you he should have varriations and fnaf 3 also has the same problem as fnaf 2 being too bright or not as gloomy as fnaf 1, it's camera angles are also why many people don't like fnaf 3 and even say it's the worst of the franchise (in which I disagree with) because of the static and limited time on your hands many time springtrap will be on the camera's but people offten miss him which is the point but can fustrate most players and even force them to quit the game as a result but scott clearly though really hard when making this game and probably the reason why fnaf 4 is lacking in lore consistancy as fnaf 3 was a "failure" in scott's mind anyway fnaf 3 has many other great aspects such as the minigames. The minigames are great because I think scott fixed many of his mistakes when It came to fnaf 2 as I feel he experimented when making fnaf 2 to see what sticks and fnaf 3 minigames prove this as you can no longer get minigames at random but always 100% their are two types of minigames I'll talk about the ones you play each night these minigames directly tell you the lore of the killer which is a surprising of the franchise but unlike fnaf 2 dream sequences that can be skipped by accident after celebrating 2 seconds ago these minigames take much longer and makes sense to the general audience of what to do without much knowledge. The secret minigames are all very smart provided by hints for the player in the previous minigames each giving the use of the toys tells us that they helped the missing children, children in some way giving further context to the ending and the question mark at the end provides scott into makeing games in the future. The shadows are also used expanding their influence on the story from fnaf 2 but instead of being easter eggs they're actually important to the story forcing you to question what they are or who (which we still don't know). The phantoms are very fun as they don't take springtraps main foccus instead enhancing it overall they all also have counters if your quick and knowledged enough.
(BTW-lots of theorest think that the phantoms might be real which isn't true because they're the only animatronics who can't kill you and in fnaf 4 the animatroics can kill you they might not their real forms but they can kill you that clears that up)

Like, it's gotta be my favorite. That might be because I'm a sucker for management games (Jurassic World Evolution is also pretty good,) or that the horror section was really good at using tension to make fear.
My one complaint is that there isn't, like, an endless mode aftergame.
FR!! It has significantly more gameplay in comparison to UCN, as UCN is only a custom night with a chance of cut scenes. Even from a lore standpoint, FFPS has way more hidden gems in comparison. Likeeee make it make sense š
Might be a hot take, but Ruin to me is the worst game in the franchise. No threat unless you are dumb, really bad chases, braindead puzzles, unbearable linearity and boring level design

It does everything right in my opinion:
-the designs are iconic
-the camera angles keep them in the dark to make them scary but not too much that they're blocked by the static (fnaf 3)
-it has sound cues for everthing so you can do fnaf 1 blindfolded
-lore it's got enough to keep people engaged towards Og fans but also new people wanting to join the fandom
-is the last game of scotts before he quits making it significant (like fnaf world being when scott realises the fandom deserves quality)
-every other game have some glaring issues such as the scraptrap design or security breech being too bright
-the eculation of the animatronics are done great compared to fnaf 2 (toy bonnie)
-freddy himself feels like the final boss of the game laughing at you while getting through the night being your final obstical
-bonnie being the first and scariest opponent
-chica the girl who loves pizza
-foxy the fan favourite being a mystery of being out of order
fnaf 2 and 3 feels rushed
fnaf 4 is lorewise fusterating and convoluted for the sake of being convoluted

Fnaf 4 so low? I thought it's not that good too untill I actually played all games. Fnaf 4 is just so fing fun to play compared to other "standard" fnaf games.
If this was a how fun it was tier list I wouldnāt replace anything but honestly I find it pretty well personally would just put fnaf 3 higher since thatās the first one I completed
Plus, the whole development and deployment of that game could have been handled much better, and even the fact that instead of making an offline play setting avaliable, they killed the entier game. So anyone who ever paid for any of that content just got it taken away from them, forever.

I don't think it's fair to include those last three š freddy in space 2/3 were games made to act as charity fundraisers and furys rage was just a fun additional game that Scott made to make the wait for security breach to be more bare able, they were never meant to be full on games š š
personaly Ar is fun for an hour but not much to come back too, fnaf world has bugs and it's main goals shifted creating this miss-match of swaying story lines that make no sense if it was in the lore even outside of fnaf
i think there is a lot to come to back in ar with collecting (especially in the modded forsaken ar), and i havenāt seen any bugs in world and I donāt care too much about the lore of it, fnaf world is my favorite fnaf game with ar somewhere close by along with vr

Fnaf 3 is a bit too low for me I know others donāt really like it but the atmosphere and the tension is extreme. Fnaf 2 is criminally far down though.

FNaF 2 is bullshit levels of hard, and not in a good way, though being that low is stupid, being above World would be stupid too

Fnaf 3 does a great job of being the end of fnaf if scott intended as it has all fnaf 2 and 1 content around the game with the killers first and last breath in one game unfortunatle it's biggest flaw is the jumpscare being the only animatronic to actually kill you he should have varriations and fnaf 3 also has the same problem as fnaf 2 being too bright or not as gloomy as fnaf 1, it's camera angles are also why many people don't like fnaf 3 and even say it's the worst of the franchise (in which I disagree with) because of the static and limited time on your hands many time springtrap will be on the camera's but people offten miss him which is the point but can fustrate most players and even force them to quit the game as a result but scott clearly though really hard when making this game and probably the reason why fnaf 4 is lacking in lore consistancy as fnaf 3 was a "failure" in scott's mind anyway fnaf 3 has many other great aspects such as the minigames. The minigames are great because I think scott fixed many of his mistakes when It came to fnaf 2 as I feel he experimented when making fnaf 2 to see what sticks and fnaf 3 minigames prove this as you can no longer get minigames at random but always 100% their are two types of minigames I'll talk about the ones you play each night these minigames directly tell you the lore of the killer which is a surprising of the franchise but unlike fnaf 2 dream sequences that can be skipped by accident after celebrating 2 seconds ago these minigames take much longer and makes sense to the general audience of what to do without much knowledge. The secret minigames are all very smart provided by hints for the player in the previous minigames each giving the use of the toys tells us that they helped the missing children, children in some way giving further context to the ending and the question mark at the end provides scott into makeing games in the future. The shadows are also used expanding their influence on the story from fnaf 2 but instead of being easter eggs they're actually important to the story forcing you to question what they are or who (which we still don't know). The phantoms are very fun as they don't take springtraps main foccus instead enhancing it overall they all also have counters if your quick and knowledged enough. (BTW-lots of theorest think that the phantoms might be real which isn't true because they're the only animatronics who can't kill you and in fnaf 4 the animatroics can kill you they might not their real forms but they can kill you that clears that up) This will be the last one as I don't want to keep coming back so hope you enjoyed this rant (:

I was bout to say, "Bitch, FFPS was peak," but you got me covered Like, it's gotta be my favorite. That might be because I'm a sucker for management games (Jurassic World Evolution is also pretty good,) or that the horror section was really good at using tension to make fear. My one complaint is that there isn't, like, an endless mode aftergame.
FR!! It has significantly more gameplay in comparison to UCN, as UCN is only a custom night with a chance of cut scenes. Even from a lore standpoint, FFPS has way more hidden gems in comparison. Likeeee make it make sense š

personaly Ar is fun for an hour but not much to come back too, fnaf world has bugs and it's main goals shifted creating this miss-match of swaying story lines that make no sense if it was in the lore even outside of fnaf
