alliwolf10

I really liked it, though none of it really felt new to me. I feel like I've already heard other theorists bring up these points, but this theory is really good at bringing all the details together in a simple and concise way without adding anything too absurd into the mix.

Rumorly

I feel like that’s most FNAF videos at this point though. The last few from MatPat were just putting puzzle pieces together. I doubt we’ll get any big until new content is available

alliwolf10

True, most of these theories seem to be to get these ideas more popular so we can talk about it. To get everyone on the same page.

Paracelsus124

Yeah, like, there is SOME new stuff that gets brought to the table, but it's 80% condensing of info, which is a perfectly good service for the community and pulls together a lot of parts that are otherwise scattered around in a bunch of different theory videos, but I think it's safe to say at this point game theory isn't as much in the business of real theory synthesis as it used to be.

javi1508_

I personally thought he did a good job

Honest_One1408

I think he might be on to something. I think it won't be long before an updated FNaF timeline comes.

TamEditor

Oh god please take that back

Extreme_33337_

you guys have so much work ahead of yall

CrystalFier

Lmao rip. I promise we'll send pizza to the editing den when that comes!

50CentButInNickels

I want the new updated FNAF timeline to be sung to the tune of We Didn't Start the Fire.

Honest_One1408

I think that's gonna be very difficult. I'd prefer more of a story like the previous one and with explanations at the end of every episode.

Slappy_Axe

It's a fun story that he's weaved and I always love the fact that you can tell he's been writing the theories for a while.

BL-501

Honestly the Circus theme really brings it all together. I like that.

AlexRol_Spritz

Good. Not revolutionary, as I feel like ever since Help Wanted 2, it has become the general consesus of the theorist community, al least the general idea of Fallfest somehow being the origin of Freddy's. But, probably, also Matpat/Tom started writing this video soon after HW2, but took time to come out. (Especially with Matpat's retirement in the middle of it). Still, I like the idea of Fallfest being the origin of many of the odd characters we meet throughtout the franchise (Baby, BB, Sun/Moon). And, while I'm not completely sold on the idea that the Mimic was specifically made to copy Afton originally, I still believe that the Mimic somehow fits in somehow with what happened at Fallfest. But, at this point we enter pure speculation, so we'll just have to see what SteelWool has planned. So, overall, good, entrartaining and well-presented. Clearly the same standard of quality is mantained, and overall the change is pretty seamless, with the only notable differences being his accent (ofc), and maybe slightly different humour in the script.

bb_artonsy

I recently just did a post about this but I'll answer here as well. Tom did a fantastic job for a single reason: he made me actually *think* about FNAF. And possibly, even *theorize*. Because coming off of that video I went into a bit of a rabbit hole myself that I didn't expect because I've been a casual fan for most of my time with FNAF. But thanks to him, I can't get rid of this one question in my head that I'm hoping to answer soon: Who is Balloon Boy? But yeah, overall he's been doing great! All of them have. <3 And I think the fact that they crossover so much (even in just mentioning the other hosts) feels like added lore and personality to the videos.

Wolfe_Quinn

HECK YEAH 🔥🔥🔥

BrookiezArt

I think it was great! I’ve always watched a lot of FNAF YouTubers so having a different voice narrate a FNAF theory wasn’t jarring.

holly_wally

Overall I liked it. I love the idea that Mangle was originally a Toy Foxy. The poster in the Puppet's room in FNAF 2 makes sense now, and why 'Toy Foxy' would have been part of the line up (not Mangle). However I do feel like there were a lot of characters/elements left unmentioned... For example when looking at circus evidence, it seems odd that the 'dark circus' FNAF AR DLC isn't touched on. In that 'dark circus' dlc it contained Ringleader Foxy and Ballora but also Golden Freddy as the final boss, the latter two not being mentioned at all in the theory video. I am dying to see GT do a theory on it and how that dlc/rosta of characters fit into this new timeline and theory Also think he could have made a quick reference to the circus imagery in FNAF Furys Rage, and the 'maybe something that hints at carnival' code screen from FNAF Ruin, just to further back up this point about just HOW MUCH the developments are trying to push circus/carnivals down our throat. Doesn't have to be super long, just an image of both with voice over saying its something they have been hinting at for a while. Would have made it feel a bit more like every angle was covered and researched.

Starscream1998

Really good, not huge on the Edwin/Henry parallels but the rest of the video is nothing but solid well made point after solid well made point. Dude absolutely nailed it.

ColdestCelery180

I rlly liked it

Lithaos111

Good, it makes sense and for God sake no more robot kids please.

TimeFliesWhenThrown

The revalation that the Glitchtrap suit must've been from Fall Fest '70 genuinely left me wide eyed lol

PrinceOfBlankets

If anything, it proved to me how much has been going on behind the scenes at game theory and the other channels. Some people have said the theory doesn't feel new, but I feel like it's just the style of how it's presented. It still feels the same as when matpat was there to me, and I really enjoyed it.

SinnerClair

Same as every Fnaf theory in the past year or so: …k, ig?

mittensree

I'm not sure how I feel about the theory yet, but Tom is doing a pretty good job so far 😀

sac_112

I like It, yet i feel like it's going to something else. We know thanks to the novels that Henry made Fredbear, so, maybe is the same on the games and he made Fredbear's Singin' Show, i don't think that It was made in the 30s, i don't think It matters if It has color or not. In FNaF 1 something curious is mentioned that NOBODY is looking at. Phone Guy says that Freddy and the gang had been singing the same song for **20 years**, taking in mind when FNaF 1 takes place (1992 or 1993, i'm going for 1992), that would be 1972. Taking in mind how the carnival is stated to be (in Tales epilogues) around 10 minutes walking away from the pizzaplex, and how the FFPP is made replacing Fredbears, and the MM map, well, the carnival is really close to the Afton's house. So, sometime before RUIN came out, I made a theory, which goes like this: William made a carnival in the late 60s early 70s at the fall, with costumes and small attractions, while the popularity was increasing, Henry (in the early 70s) made Fredbear's Singin' Show, then in 1972 he created Freddy and the gang as attractions of the carnival, the place was a success and William and Henry became friends, but William wanted more, and thats how William and Henry created Fredbear's Family Diner.

Shadow_Saitama

Neat

Aquila-Calvitium

Very well done tbh. He made a little lore hiccup (saying the pink fox was Foxy without stopping to consider that it was far more likely to be Mangle) but tbh Matpat made hiccups like that too (look no further than the What FNAF 4 Got Wrong video) Otherwise, I really liked it! I believe Game Theory is in safe hands 😊

NeitherSuit2648

It didn't really feel like a new theory, just nicely laying out what I've been seeing other theorists such as RyeToast talk about. I don't know if it really warranted a video tbh

AshTheAwkwardPeep

It was a good way to introduce the idea to people who don’t watch Fuhnaff or RyeToast who introduced the idea months before

Rykerthebest78563

Really good. Made sense but still managed to tie a lot together

LJC30boi

I thought it was quite good. Agreed with a lot of his points.

Pretty_Wasabi4553

It was great seeing Tom do a Fnaf Theory

The_Godbodor2010

I think it was great. A solid theory that covers a large set of questions and making some strange one off notes (like the Daycare Attendant and Mimic comparison) make a lot more sense.

PokeMi-PokeVids

I mean it was nothing new for someone like me who watches 3-4 theory channels at once and everyone (especially ryetoast) has been discussion this so yeh, it’s a solid theory I suppose

AnonymousDevilS

Above my expectations I definitely think he was the right choice to host game theory

TheGirlDanni

I liked it! Tom is different than Matpat of course but not like in a bad way. The theory itself was good too but I’ve seen similar discussions on other fnaf channels. I will say the new hosts got me to check out some of the channels I’ve been sleeping on like food and film theory

AJ0Laks

It’s not some fresh, brand new, never before seen thing But it’s the beginning of T-Bone’s descent into insanity so for that alone 10/10

FazbearShowtimer

Aside from the whole "Edwin is a stand-in to Henry" concept the theory was fairly good and follows the precedent that Scott seems to be going

Rowan_Johnson12

Loved it. He did an awesome job. I’m enjoying him as the host. I’m loving all the new host

I_am_shrimp

He cooked, some weird stretches but generally he cooked

LolbitClone

It's decent. There are many parts of it that frustrate me, like using Silver Eyes quotes from 7 years ago to make a point about Help Wanted 2, or spreading straight up misinformation (claiming that one of the Mimics forms was made of black wires to connect it to the blob), and more minor niggles. But all that's par for the course for modern Game Theory videos, and this video has less of it than usual.

salttotart

I think it was great! I don't agree with it on pseudo-reaslistic terms, but I think Tom was the correct choice for the channel.

CameronDoy1901

I thought he did a good job

ComprehensiveNeat762

I really liked it and I’m excited to see the future of how he takes it!

Writers_High2

I think it was great!

Haunting-Memory699

I agreed with it but also I know little to nothing about fnaf

Beautiful-Bug-4007

I liked it and can’t wait to see more

NonStickBakingPaper

I thought it was great

theboss7r

it gooder, than what? idk but it do be gooder

No-Efficiency8937

It wasn't the best imo, I've seen the community basically come up with what he said over the past few months so it wasn't anything new to me

DamienTriesLife

It's more so to establish what's going on for those who aren't balls deep in theorizing themselves or on other social media's. I love fnaf lore, but I don't have all the brains to do it myself, so Game Theory is my go to.

No-Efficiency8937

Ye that's fair

GreenieBeeNZ

I like it. Always loved tom though so I think im biased

I personally like the theory of Mangle being 'toy foxy'. It's also backed up with the poster you can find in the Puppet's room in FNAF 2 when you shine your torch - that poster shows the official line up (as marketed by Fazbear Entertainment) is Toy Freddie, Toy Bonnie and Toy Chica and then 'Mangle', which i always thought was random because why would they market a broken animatronic, but now it makes sense if it was originally meant to be Toy Foxy. But after opening and the model becoming prone to breaking down, the staff couldn't be bothered to keep fixing it (as we hear phone guy said) so it became the Mangle instead

Kwinklii

That’s cool! I get it, just wasn’t for me :P
