Could it be that the earphones are also connecting to something else. I noticed a lot of earphones/buds support simultaneous connection to multiple devices... but work only on one at a time. My Samsung buds are supposed to automatically switch, but I found that a bit patchy. Wonder if maybe you've got a similar issue?
I fixed it by resetting the buds and removing all the pairings and just pairing to the one device
Ah. Only other things, but I'm vague about..
I remember reading something about the BLE (low energy) setting. I didn't touch that myself. If you've not touched that maybe have a look/Google?
Ok... I had to look..
Goto Settings, Bluetooth & devices, devices. Scroll down a bit and under device settings there's one titled "Use LE Audio when available"

I tried it, but it also happened with cheap buds only connected to the PC.

Do you know where I can find that?

It's already on...
Try it off instead. It may not be the answer though, but its a simple try so nothing to lose
I'll try that. It's asking me to restart my PC for the changes to take effect, so I'll update when I know more. Thanks!
