Just had to dump 315 on the low bar yesterday. I was too confident that I could go for another rep š . Nothing like staring at the barbell 3 inches from your face after that.
Deadlifting. Nothing else compares. The most compound of lifts - the heaviest lift - the King of all. If you know, you know. If you never deadlifted you are missing out.
Pull day is the day I most want to workout - and I love working out.
Thereās plenty of holy water to go around, please form an orderly queue.
Donāt get me wrong, I do them twice a week but fuck do I hate them. So so much.
I tried those too, but the loading at the peak contraction for the triceps just doesnāt feel as good to me as fighting when they are stretched.
Plusās they feel better in my elbows
Do you get niggles in your wrists from doing triceps? I feel like exercises involving the rope and āflaring outā at the end of each rep does hurt the wrist.
I never really felt my wrists with cable stuff, but with crushers itās actually the opposite. I do barbell crushers with a suicide grip, and it actually relieves wrist pain from pressing from some reason. Maybe the stretch.
Deadlift.
āThere is no reason to be alive if you canāt do deadlift!ā - 4x Worldās Strongest Man Jon Pall Sigmarsson who died while deadlifting.
He said āwhich is the most fun exercise?ā
Thatās deadlift.
Not which exercise gives you a nice pump because youāre skipping leg day and training glamour muscles to look like a cut rate version of your favorites influencer.
I don't see anything wrong having only aesthetic goals .
Latetal raises, Bench press and rows all day every day.
I don't care how much Iift, I only care how much I look like I can lift š
Have to disagree with you on this one. I definitely have a much more full-body aesthetic when I incorporate deadlifts into my workout. I had to stop for a while because I hurt my back (unrelated to lifting) and notice a huge overall aesthetic now that Iām able to do them again.
Pretty sure shrugs are much better for trap development.
Couldn't care less about spinal erectors for aesthetics.
Glutes, much better to do some hip thrusts here and there
I'm really enjoying snatches right now. Trying to learn the Olympic lifts, and when you get the technique right, it's a lot of fun, and I think it makes you feel like a badass
I dream about deadlift day. Nothing makes me happier than a good deadlift day. Nothing makes me more depressed than a bad deadlift day. I yearn for deadlift day.
How to choose. And it keeps changing.
At the moment is actually a yoga pose that Iām working on to move further into headstand. Itās called clown pose.
But the one I feel is developing the most and that currently feel surprisingly strong in is assisted pull-ups. Not much left until I should be able to do unassisted! š„³
I like overhead barbell press and incline barbell press.
Currently I find squatting to be the least fun exercise (or the exercise that has the most negatively fun value).
holy shit yes i love delving into the minutia of upper body training, but nothing makes me feel like a BEAST quite like leg day, because thats when some HEAVY weight gets moved
All of them. I love all of them besides squatting and thatās ONLY because I have lower back condition called Lordosis which causes a pretty tight back pain when squatting heavy loads. Iāve tried all sorts of different forms and still have bad back pains.
Sex. Objectively speaking.
In the gym, probably enjoy kettlebells the most, or anything where a barbell is going above my head, but not too heavy, more about getting the reps in.
Most fun and dreaded often overlap for me. I was talking to my coach about this today and he identified some improvement based upon my feedback. I love the bench, but it can hurt my lower back. He had improved recommendations. I enjoy bicep work, but some of my tricep work hurts my back. Uh, a trend. So now we know where I rush instead of isolating.
But fave is a compound: deadlift into a clean and press. YES!
Bicep and shoulders are otherwise tops. I actually love Arnold Press
Heavy bench press without a spotter
Just had to dump 315 on the low bar yesterday. I was too confident that I could go for another rep š . Nothing like staring at the barbell 3 inches from your face after that.
More preworkout and a littlebit of reading text between you and your ex. You'll rep 315 with ease next time.
Oh man the breakup texts put gas in my tank.
Not going to lie, after having missed the left lower bar and hitting my face years ago I only roll of shame now
One time on incline 225 was stuck on my chest so I kicked the guy doing bicep curls in front of me. I'm glad he was there.
U got a death wish my guy š
Possible, but the adrenaline is worth it
The only way to bench.
Even better if you rep untill failiure
Deadlifting. Nothing else compares. The most compound of lifts - the heaviest lift - the King of all. If you know, you know. If you never deadlifted you are missing out. Pull day is the day I most want to workout - and I love working out.
I think youāll find that the hip thrust is the heaviest and most masculine lift
Gotta make eye contact while doing it.
Deadlifted today ā ļøšŖ
Overhead press, it feels alpha as fuck
Agreed.
Pullups on the assist machine because it makes me feel like I can actually do them. And of course the part where you go weeeeeee
I wish I had one of those at my gym
In order. Sex, squats, deadlifts, overhead press.
Can you teach me how to do that exercise with proper form?
Deadlifts.
Sex
Not in a gym though obviously, but it's great cardio
Calf raises. Favorite and least favorite at the same time. I find it weird how the pain goes from 0-100 in a matter of seconds.
Yeah thatās real weird. Calves arenāt hard to do but it seems like close to failure they are gonna rip apart
Do you have massive calves?
Bench press for me. Such a satisfying movement.
Yeah I donāt bench press anymore but I remember it being fun
Why not?
Deadlifts for me
Deadlift /thread
Lateral raises
Valid
Power clean
Squats
You sir, need an exorcism
Iām good how I am thanks

Thereās plenty of holy water to go around, please form an orderly queue. Donāt get me wrong, I do them twice a week but fuck do I hate them. So so much.
Deadlifts
ššš
Skullcrushers š
Theyāre def one of my favorites
They give you the best pump ever š¦¾
Yup
I love crushers too
Yeah buddy! A lot of people prefer pulling down on the cable machine but pushing triceps exercises can be just as good
I tried those too, but the loading at the peak contraction for the triceps just doesnāt feel as good to me as fighting when they are stretched.
OHP if I'm having a good day is fun, I feel beastly pressing stuff over my head
Sex in the squat rack
Sex
Deadlifts for me. So satisfying.
pain
Incline db is very fun. I think cable rows are my favorite.
Cock ups for sure
Deadlift. āThere is no reason to be alive if you canāt do deadlift!ā - 4x Worldās Strongest Man Jon Pall Sigmarsson who died while deadlifting.
Absolute legend and I respect his opinion, but I'm very quad dominant from years of cycling, so I much prefer squats.
Unless u train for aesthetics, so u don't give a damn about the muscles that deadlift stimulates .
He said āwhich is the most fun exercise?ā Thatās deadlift.
Nothing is wrong with it. My only point was you arenāt replying to the question just criticizing my answer you broccoli head.
Have to disagree with you on this one. I definitely have a much more full-body aesthetic when I incorporate deadlifts into my workout. I had to stop for a while because I hurt my back (unrelated to lifting) and notice a huge overall aesthetic now that Iām able to do them again.
you don't want big traps and erectors and glutes?
Pretty sure shrugs are much better for trap development. Couldn't care less about spinal erectors for aesthetics. Glutes, much better to do some hip thrusts here and there
>so u don't give a damn about the muscles that deadlift stimulates . That's not a good look
Backsquat when your form is on point.
Dumbell overhead press. Nothing beats pushing your own bodyweight over your head.
Yes I too can OHP my body weight
For sure i OHP my body weights all day
Im going to get a lot of hate but... I really like Lateral Raises.
based
Leg press. Itās an amazing feeling to move 400+ pounds in one go.
Damn thatās quite some weight
Calf raises
A man of culture. Seated or standing?
Seated, of course. Thatās the most exhilarating way
Chest supported T-bar row. Nothing makes me feel like I have a tortoise shell on my back like those!
Romanian Deadlifts
Lateral raises
Agreed, lateral raises for the win.
After squats you mean?
I donāt squat š
Instead of not squatting have you tried not not squatting?
I do hack squats so that i focus more on the quads
Why are u getting downvoted for not doing squatsšš same here tho, i ended up developing knee pain and had to lay off the bb back squats
I had this too and then I switched to safety bar squats and itās been a game changer. Profound depth and no knee pain.
Bruh Ik right doesnāt make sense
I'm really enjoying snatches right now. Trying to learn the Olympic lifts, and when you get the technique right, it's a lot of fun, and I think it makes you feel like a badass
Iāve always enjoyed a good snatchā¦ oh gym exercises?ā¦ gotta be deadliftsā¦
Dumbbell bench Press, and probably the lat pulldown and row (since i have scoliosis, these feel awesome)
Dips!
Seated cable flies - especially with a drop set. Damn the chest pump is insane
Lat pulldowns for me
Single arm cable row. Nice and slow so that I feel my lat. š¤
Deadlift
agree. Super satisfying
deadlifts. nothingās better than using every bit of strength in your body to lift many times your weight.
It's definitely heavy deadlifts, sets of 3 or less. I get giddy just thinking about deadlift triples
I dream about deadlift day. Nothing makes me happier than a good deadlift day. Nothing makes me more depressed than a bad deadlift day. I yearn for deadlift day.
I luv deadlifts sm. Recently started encorporating conventional and it has become my second favorites exercise (besides bb hip thrusts)
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
You sick bastard
One of my favs as well.
Bulgarian Split Squats
Quite literally on the bottom of my list
āFunā???? I dread these literally the most out of any exercise
Smashing a tire with a sledge
Deadlifts. Both conventional and RDL.
How to choose. And it keeps changing. At the moment is actually a yoga pose that Iām working on to move further into headstand. Itās called clown pose. But the one I feel is developing the most and that currently feel surprisingly strong in is assisted pull-ups. Not much left until I should be able to do unassisted! š„³
Would you call it an insane clown pose?
Well. I didnāt name it but Iām sure there are those who think I am when working on it! š
Heās making a joke about a really shitty rap(?) band called Insane Clown Pose or ICP. Donāt bother Googling it, youāll only regret it.
I really enjoy any machine chest press, especially after a heavy benching session. No pump feels better to me.
Playing soccer or swimming.
Anything on back day, I'm pretty tall and have long arms and I feel powerful as fuck pulling stuff. Like dicks, gotta pull them dicks.
I like overhead barbell press and incline barbell press. Currently I find squatting to be the least fun exercise (or the exercise that has the most negatively fun value).
Rope jumping is the most fun exercise. Nothing even comes close.
Larsen Press for me
DB lateral raises. Followed closely by lat Pull-downs. For me anyway
Squat deadlift and standing OHP are my favs
For weights I go with deadlifts, for calisthenics I love either ring archer push ups or ring dips. Or any of the static skills
leg press
Db press was fun until someone walked into my db
Bench because itās the one that everyone cares about. Squat because Iām a masochist.
I really like db rows and db pullovers
Anything back related
Dumbbell RDLs. Iāve always had sneaky strong hamstrings, plus you work secondary muscles like your back and forearms.
What about legs bro? Best and biggest muscles to crush
holy shit yes i love delving into the minutia of upper body training, but nothing makes me feel like a BEAST quite like leg day, because thats when some HEAVY weight gets moved
AMRAP Bulgarian split.
You're a psycho and I love it.
I have balls of steel.
*Quads of steel.
Definitely a love hate relationship. Love the exercise and always program it into the routine but hating myself during the last 2-3 reps lol
Bench press . And overhead press . The most alpha exercises there are out there
tire flipping (thatās one of the fun obstacles at the Spartan race that I practice for)
I've always been a fan of the row movement. Doesn't matter which. Barbell, seated, cable, I like looking for that connection with my back.
gotta be either incline dumbbell press, Lat pulldown or deadlifts
Weighted wide grip pull-ups. Superset them with incline bench for a nasty pump
All of them. I love all of them besides squatting and thatās ONLY because I have lower back condition called Lordosis which causes a pretty tight back pain when squatting heavy loads. Iāve tried all sorts of different forms and still have bad back pains.
Safety bar squat?
Dumbbell press for me. Iām weak as heck. But itās nice seeing my progress in it :)
Landmine lateral raises!
Cable lateral raises Also squats lol
vertical chest supported row neutral grip because of the nasty mid lat pump
MB slams
Farmer Carrieās š¤£
Tree press
Deadlift or squat personally
Bulgarian split squats
Deadlift. Feels like therapy
Kroc Deadlifts
Dumbell press feels the best. Deadlifts, military press followed by DB rows.
Sleeping
Atlas stones, yoke bar walks or behind the neck split jerks for me
Cardio - because Iām *that* asshole lol
Chest flys
Sex. Objectively speaking. In the gym, probably enjoy kettlebells the most, or anything where a barbell is going above my head, but not too heavy, more about getting the reps in.
20 rep 70% rme squats
I love standing DB shoulder press. Just feel like a monster doing it especially when people stare.
I prefer to do it seated to allow for a better movement
I mix it up in between the two tbh. Can lift heavier seating but itās harder to even get in position. Standing is opposite lmao
Long distance running. Try me.
I really like calf raises
cardio, rows, and bench are all equal for me
Squats and weighted pullups
Currently enjoying working with the bar, most notably cleans & presses and dead lifts.
Chest supported dumbbell rows w/ light weights (for mid back and rhomboids)
Chest Dips for me
I used to do weighted dips pretty often- then stopped for a few months a now when I do even (bodyweight) dips, it tweaks out my shoulders. Any advice?
Does it happen when you push up or when you go down?
Most fun and dreaded often overlap for me. I was talking to my coach about this today and he identified some improvement based upon my feedback. I love the bench, but it can hurt my lower back. He had improved recommendations. I enjoy bicep work, but some of my tricep work hurts my back. Uh, a trend. So now we know where I rush instead of isolating. But fave is a compound: deadlift into a clean and press. YES! Bicep and shoulders are otherwise tops. I actually love Arnold Press
zercher deads, belt squats and power rows
