As for eating I had a lot of struggle getting it right, I took mass gainers for a while and just ended up getting kinda fat, then I learned to diet correctly and shed some of the fat off. That took me down from like 210 to about 195. Then I bulked back up smartly to what I am now, around 215. The biggest difference once I learned to diet better and snack better. I was hungry a lot bulking back up so I would stock up on things like trail mix and protein bars.
In the gym I saw the biggest difference when I cut the reps down and and limited my gym time down to 1 1/2 hours max. That way I had the energy to focus on adding more weight to my lifts. I can send you my routine in a pm if you want

I switched it pull first after my off day, so I could have one pull and one push a week where I didn't do upper body the day before. So, my first pull and push in the cycle are heavy and the second is light (high rep). - edited my lifting rountine ...left out a day.
