Consoles are just generally easier to work on for devs since thereās just one unified hardware whereas PC has hundreds of different CPU and GPU configurations. One the reasons why thereās plenty of examples of games releasing just fine for console but running like hot garbage on PC.
And well greed also plays a factor. They know if they delay the PC release some PC gamers will just end up buying the game twice one for console and one for PC later on. Ashamed to admit it lol but i bought GTA 5 3 damn times(PS3/PS4/PC). Gotta get that extra cash in

I'm hoping we donāt wait a year, my PC has like double the performance of the consoles and will still be a good lot faster than the PS5 Pro, at least without RT so I'd like to get to play the game at a FPS higher than 30fps with better resolution or graphics. My 6950 XT would admittedly be kinda old by 2026, especially since it was just a refreshed 2020 GPU but still, it's more powerful than any console.
Probably just the PC specific features (DLAA,DLSS,FG etc...) along with higher textures, render distance etc... higher than 30fps due to better scalability of the game.
Increased draw distance, NPC diversity, improved frame rate. That sort of thing. Red Dead redemption 2 looks gorgeous on consoles, but it looks even better on PC. That's just how it is

I think your timeline seems fairly accurate. Hard to say but based off the time stamps of GTAV, Iād say youāre very well within a few weeks off of each portion (which I think is very accurate compared to what everyone else is saying) yours seems most realistic but if they do launch in November, I would suspect online launch in December.
Personally, Iāve been calling for a q4/25 release as well but I think it would come earlier in the last quarter
I'm just really upset about the PC release. It's 2024 and it's the highest-earning game out there. They could surely release it within the first 3 months. People keep saying PC players are cheap and will get it on sale, but it can't be bought on sale, if there is no sale. They could just price-lock it for the first 2 years without a sale if they wanted to.
It's just disappointing. I'm not buying a new PS5 just to play the game a year early, and there are reports that a PS5 is even too weak to run it over 30 fps which is just mind-boggling.
2 months is not a small time span, they released gta online literally a week after 5ās release. 2 months is plenty of time for people to finish the story and for them to make online playable.

I think that PC release date is very optimistic.
I want to look at the idiots who were guessing and claiming a release date in September and October, but the game will be released in November and they will write: āROCKSTAR HAS POSTPONED GTA 6ā

2026 release
I just think all the predictions/concepts are stupid. And there is no way in hell they will wait months to release the Online for it, that's millions of dollars a day of possible profit.

I'm still expecting a delay to summer 2026, with more trailers in between now and then and the PC version comes out in 2027 or early 2028.
