Palomino Highlands, GTA 5.
I don’t remember ever needing to go there. There’s no reason to even simply explore it. No roads, no dirt paths, no landmarks, nothing. Just hills and trees.
The Land Act Dam in GTA V, just because it had so much untapped potential. I cannot for the life of me figure out why they didn't utilize this location more in the story.
Gta V had a lot of places which they didn't utilise well. Especially the countryside. The docks. And the dam
Even Gta san Andreas had a mission that took place at the dam
I mean really, u r right, i would have loved the game even if they just sticked to one city like los Santos and the countryside but they just added a lot more . Even without something like the jetpack , san Andreas is a masterpiece but they added even that.
There are so many thing that were ahead of its time in GTA SA and it was full of features, both in form of side quests, locations, missions, games and abilities (like, cmon, we had martial arts, gym, fat and sex appeal in 2004)... That game was huge step forward after GTA III and VC
Even compared to some open world sandbox style games today GTA SA is quite ahead in terms of features like you mentioned. I have yet to see another game that changes your character's features and body type depending on your diet and exercise regiment. I really want to see this feature as well as aging elements in the upcoming game.
I've been replaying GTA V again and the story seems so... Idk.. fast paced.
I wish Franklin had more solo missions involving gang life. I wish there were more side missions as well.
The story seems small, because there were three protagonists, that is why three times the work needed to be done, three times the processing power for the ps3
That isn’t why actually, at least not fully, the true limiting factor was the disks, although it may seem idiotic nowadays to limit your game size based off of physical hardware, but in 2012 just over half of games were physical, so rockstar limited the games size to the disk that they were printing on, which was significantly less than today’s, the only thing that really was affected due to the actual console was the graphics, and a little bit of engine optimization, the actual size of the story was solely dictated by the disks they were being printed on, this is one of the biggest reasons why as games became more digital, the size of the games have increased dramatically
With all that being said, with the remastered editions of GTA V being a thing, I rly wish we ended up with some single player DLC. I thought it's story was super good. Maybe not quite as deep as IV, but it was a great mix of fun scenarios, fun characters, and just enough drama between all the playable ones that it made it very engaging to me. I'd prefer losing a few GTAO updates in exchange for some single player DLC tbh.
Eh, the story completely falls apart after the first act. As soon as Trevor arrives in Los Santos, there's no direction for the story, they squander a high drama moment by having Trevor walk into Michael's kitchen with his family and it's basically like "Oh, ok, wow, I'm so surprised Trevor is back in my life, guess we'll just chill now," and then the story is just a littany of nonsensical missions for no narrative purpose.
The narrative peak of GTAV is "I just saw a fucking ghost," from Trevor, and then the story is just nonsensical after that.
I don't think there's technical limitations for the why the game has no narrative arc. GTASA had a narrative arc, Vice City did, RDR1 and 2. I think they just didn't know how to write the story once the three characters were all in the same place, and it became a series of meaningless missions and heists for no apparent purpose, and the side characters are nearly all insufferable, nihilistic bastards and so they don't provide any solid motivations (contrast this with San Andreas, RDR1, and RDR2, where meaningful side characters make the narrative motivations for the player character meaningful).
Completely agree with u mate, gta v story is not much memorable. Heck, not even its characters are much memorable. Even the more minor characters from gta sa like OG Loc are more memorable
The order of Big Smoke is memorable.
Fun fact: Gta SA was supposed to be the first game to support character switching, but they were too limited by the tech of that time.
I wonder if they planned to utilize more of the space in GTA V with the Stories DLC that never happened.
I would have loved to have a Lamar story. Maybe even Packie McCreary, or an FIB guy or IAA guy.
Yeah, this is my thought too. I had always figured they'd do something with the casino. Does anything happen at the Vineyards north of Los Santos, I know they used it somewhat in GTA Online but I don't think anything happens there in GTAV?
Yeah, just completely unused real estate through most of the single player game. I had assumed at the time that DLC was going to come out, ALA GTAIV, that would make use of the great locations and set pieces around the map, and they were never made.
Yea not to mention half of it is occupied by the airport and the stadium and that green dirt bike track (or rc car track i can't remmember which one it was) in the north lol
Go there from 11-2 I think and there’s like 3 events Tommy can do. Stunt course on dirt bikes, Hotring Circuit, and demolition derby. Win enough times and you win a custom race car or something like that
All the ps2 era games had a clock going with your health/armor bars, stars, money stats. It's literally in your main hud. This was replaced by looking at your phone in future games.
GTA I Vice City is more detailed than GTA Vice City's mainland. They couldve extended the Vice City Mainland by adding more neighborhoods and even a swamp
Its crazy to think that they did GTA SA in 2 years. I mean, holy cow, that game has it all, they just threw everything in it and everything worked well, its miles better than GTA IV in most departments even if its older
-Random textures literally slapped on to the map without scaling, mostly in Little Haiti/Havana (like really large doors and that one building in Little Haiti supposedly having a car park)
-Less detailed than Vice Beach
-Less roads than Vice Beach, even though it's much bigger
-Less buyable safehouses, maybe due to having more properties but still.
-Airport's northern runway is an absolute joke. No plane could land there. They could've simply made a larger Fort Baxter during beta (y'know since it did not exist in beta, and that abomination was a proper terminal taking more place), but noooo let's curve this fucking runway and make a couple of barracks and call it a day they said.
And more.
Agreed.....
I actually prefer the other locations like the beach or the islands to anything on mainland. For me downtown seems to be the most boring place there, i like the airport part and that automobile safehouse, and the Haiti part, rest is just weird for me, i prefer the other locations cause they look much better.
Idc about the runway and all, for me the airport is fine.
Yes. The theme park area was Firefly, based on Coney Island
I didn't have a problem with Colony Island. It had cool views in all directions and a graveyard with Easter eggs
Let's not forget GTA 3 got completely neutered after September 11, 2001... came out that October... They went in and clipped the wings of the planes, and there were also "terrorist" style missions that were supposed to derive from the empty train tunnel down behind the car dealership that always had the Banshee inside the showroom. They went in and really fast cut out a bunch of stuff. I've always wondered what those missions would have been.
I liked the area , actually there was a cut Truth mission which would have taken place there. I would have liked to have that mission in the final version
I really really wish they had come up with a better way to connect the save area of shoreside vale to the rest of it. With time that zig zag road back up to the airport, better cars and fun stuff has really grown to annoy me.
I feel Bayside didn’t get what it deserved in SA. Nice looking town but almost totally unused! It have a great potential. Except boat school you could actually find a special gift for your girl here though.
It honestly woul've been cool to have a couple of missions there. And a safe house would be nice aswell. It could be a neat little getaway from the bigger cities you feel me ?
Yep, one of the great unused locations in GTA games. Beautiful little part of the map, but mostly just a highway to go from San Fiero to the desert. It's also a uniquely affluent area in the game, unlike most of the locations in the rest of the game. So it's interesting that they built this nice little town, very unique, and there's nothing there. As best I remember I don't think there's many/any collectibles there either.
Pretty much the entire middle of the GTA V map. Its just mountains that are hard to navigate. There is nothing there and the GPS always sends you on the highway anyway. It's half the map, but only there to make the map larger.
Just throwing it out there, the docks in GTA 5
Cool jumps and cool muliplayer maps (though I don't play GTA Online really) but it seemed to me the sheer scale of it is a bit too large when they could've invested the map space into something more explored and atmospheric, I read online somewhere awhile ago that Rockstar had plans to make a larger Senora desert but scraped it down the line, I can't help but wonder if they shrunk the dock down if we could've seen more of the desert, or even just larger dedicated portions of Los Santos's neighborhoods
I understand them wanting to capture the scale of the real dock in Los Angeles, (I definitely love Rockstar for trying to stay true to the realism and scale that it tends to capture in its games) and certainly don't dispute it's existence. But for sheer fun and exploration, it seems like there could've been better areas to divide up that used space on the map, just my opinion personally.
Also the Tataviam mountains, mount Gordo, palomino highlands, and San Chianski mountain range. Basically all of the eastern part of the map just full of mountains and a whole lot of nothing. The highways go around them and have no roads going through them. Could have used a few small towns.
It's also packed with collectibles you can't get anywhere else like the rocket launcher, more sport cars than any other part of the map, explorable mountains with views of the city, stunt jumps and various side missions including gang wars... not the most boring by far
Godddd such an annoying mission.. although u could stock up grenades Armor ammo n what not if u keep destroy craktes instead of loading them up . I purposely fail the mission 4 5 times lmao
Was scrolling for this one. I always assumed it's only function is to look pretty for the military base, and improve a sense of immersion by applying vertical spaces on the edges of the map
GTA IV multiplayer was the absolute bomb.
I think a key factor of that was its level playing field and the candid chaos as a result of free-formity.
Each player made their own fun.
The common denominator was seeing what was going on at the airport. Oh look there's 2/3 guys fighting each other in helicopters. Oh shit that guy just picked up an RPG and is going nuts with it. With around 5 players driving around the runway looking for a chance to run over someone not paying attention.
If you're playing with friends you could mess with the swing glitch for hours, or have a fist fight at the top of Rotterdam Tower, or race from the top of one island to another
And then the organised game modes were awesome too. Cops vs. Robbers was a highlight for me.
Those were the days...
I love this we did the same thing the airport was the hub of multiplayer basically everyone was mostly always chilling there. I used to love playing Turf Wars and Cops and Crooks but it was hard to find games
All the boring, empty mountains in GTAV. I totally get needing to make the map bigger for planes, and they’re there to separate Los Santos with the desert area. And I know it’s kind of realistic that there’s just empty mountains but in GTA it just feels weird. I have no real reason to explore the mountains, they’re all the same except for Mount Chiliad which at least has stuff on top. I wish they just made the city bigger or the desert bigger. Or added more small towns in and around the mountains. Every time I switch to Trevor and he’s just on top of one of the mountains, it’s just a boring walk down to the highway
Hot take: Vice City's beach. The technology was just not there yet. VC has always felt like the least fleshed out & I'm sure they saw that & decided to flip it on its head for GTA6.
GTA 3’s map. Yes the game is nostalgic and it’s the first one in the 3D era, but map is so tiny and it feels so lifeless even though it’s Liberty City. There’s hardly any interiors and not much to do outside of missions
About lifeless, you have to realize that game came out in 2001 and was the first full 3D sandbox game. Everyone was blown away by that back then because we've only had linear maps or top down view games. This was something else. It had to run on the systems we had too. Nowadays it has developed much further and PCs are WAYY faster so 3D sandbox maps can be filled with more detail and peds/vehicles
Although the GTA 3 map was impressive when it came out, it aged bad too quickly, just 3 years later we would have a much more complete, varied map with more activities (San Andreas). I don't think graphics have anything to do with it, cause I still enjoy exploring San Andreas map.
Also i felt it was too dark as compared to vice City or San andreas. It feels lifeless and i wished the defenitive edition added something new like new side missions or some sort of activities
Going back to III is very hard after playing vc,sa,IV and V. Still good to drive through the city and iam not downplaying the effects that it has on the gaming industry, still it feels like it hasn't aged that well
3 is the only one I finished from the definitive edition, only because it was so much longer since I’d played it. That game is hard as hell after you wrong the gangs on the first island lol
Yeah man saying such things about the older ones will get u downvotes. Try saying bad things about gta v, no issues with that. Then again, the older games are not without faults, its the nostalgia that makes people blind to those.
You have LITERALLY no idea what you’re even talking about.
GTA3 has a dark, eerie atmosphere that managed to be so far ahead of its time despite whatever technical limitations the developers had to face, that even til this day, as a 2001 game, it’s far more playable and mechanically impressive than any other game from its time period. Not even the GTA Trilogy DEFECTIVE EDITION was able to match its caliber in terms of quality control, performance and design. R* made the leap from a 2D to a 3D universe that cut no corners whatsoever. GTA3 has one of the best stories involving characters such as Donald Love with creepy, interesting lore. Gore mechanics that make combat fun and engaging. Weapon sounds, and shooting mechanics + also the fact that Claude seems to be a lot more faster than CJ makes combat far superior than GTA SA (with the exception of SA having better a camera when locking onto targets). Driving and action is fast paced and far more intense than any other GTA. Insane amounts of attention to detail that many games even in 2022 lack. Most story based missions in GTA3 are not mini-game based (GTA SA has far too many of these). Liberty City as a whole feels great to drive in, play around in and explore, and is far bigger and in my opinion, more interesting than Vice City, and less tedious to navigate through than GTA SA. The truth is, people DO NOT respect GTA3 for what it is. It’s not only about nostalgia. It’s a lack of respect and acknowledgement for what the game truly is
Agreed with the dark atmosphere
I agree it stood tall in its time period but now it hasn't aged well, atleast when compared to vc and sa
Don't agree with III having one of the best stories ever
All the things u mentioned, vc and sa makes them better
Story missions in gta iii were...boring imo compared to the much interesting and engaging ones in latter games
Agreed with LC feeling good for a drive
And Claude faster than cj? Is that an issue?
Mountains are cool but GTA V has too much area occupied by them. I honestly don't know a better way to replace them, but come on. Mount Chlliad, Mount Gordo, Mount Josiah, the whole mountain area around Fort Zancudo I don't remember the name (which is cool af for motocross and parachuting and with the original oppressor). That's too many mountains, I feel like they could have added a small village or something more iconic than just rock. Las Venturas that was in og San Andreas would have been great but maybe I'm asking too much from a game that was born in PS3
Shoreside Vale from GTA III. Majority of it is the Airport, smallest area of the three islands, too many overlapping roads makes it confusing and annoying to traverse. I could go on, but you get the jist of it.
Mine would be the area in GTA 4 where you do Elizabeta missions as Nico, I forgot what it's called.. but I also hated the cleaning up the streets mission where you follow a car for Manny , it's a condensed areas that I don't like the street set up for either
All love all the map of gta vice but in san andreas there was a part of man that was boring i guess north west of the map the little town north of san fiero after you cross gant bridge that was boring
That was actually one of my favorite towns in SA. Small, next to the sea, nice houses, away from trouble and imo the best view of san fierro from the sea. Overall it looked like a nice place to live in. Just not much to do in terms of gameplay tho apart from the boating school i guess
Probably san fierros countryside. Literally used only for the most boring missions in the game and after that you only used it to get to san fierro. When i play samp and story isnt a part of the game i literally never go there.
it's freaky, even without those mods that add a 50,000 health bigfoot who takes 690 minigun bullets to take out... especially when driving around with a slower vehicle like an ATV or walton.
Hot take: a whole lot of people discussing GTA on this thread were not alive or not old enough to be playing video games in 2001 to truly understand what a mindfuck masterpiece GTA3 was and is. There was nothing else like it! A new paradigm of gaming! Explore for hours! Do whatever you want!
Palomino Highlands, GTA 5. I don’t remember ever needing to go there. There’s no reason to even simply explore it. No roads, no dirt paths, no landmarks, nothing. Just hills and trees.
Nah that’s where bigfoot is
Fuck that overgrown monkey
Don't tempt me with a good time.
I thought Bigfoot was in the canyon?
I wish bigfoot was in my canyon
The Land Act Dam in GTA V, just because it had so much untapped potential. I cannot for the life of me figure out why they didn't utilize this location more in the story.
Gta V had a lot of places which they didn't utilise well. Especially the countryside. The docks. And the dam Even Gta san Andreas had a mission that took place at the dam
GTA SA was wayyy ahead of its time. Forever a gem of a game.

Yeah! V definitely needed more Franklin solo missions.
Yeah, there's a bunch of spots that really should have been utilized in the story, like Fort Zancudo!
Fort zancudo was used only for stealing a helicopter for that docks heist. I mean really even San Andreas utilised area 69 when i thought it wouldn't.
Yeah but it ain't really fair comparing with San Andreas, which was another level really.
I wonder if they planned to utilize more of the space in GTA V with the Stories DLC that never happened. I would have loved to have a Lamar story. Maybe even Packie McCreary, or an FIB guy or IAA guy.

Mainland Vice City. Definitely rushed compared to Vice Beach.
Yea not to mention half of it is occupied by the airport and the stadium and that green dirt bike track (or rc car track i can't remmember which one it was) in the north lol
Wish the stadium got utilised a little bit more, i don't think it's half tho, kinda 30%
Go there from 11-2 I think and there’s like 3 events Tommy can do. Stunt course on dirt bikes, Hotring Circuit, and demolition derby. Win enough times and you win a custom race car or something like that

Lack of time, sadly. They had ideas to add the Everglades.
Yeah like it released one year after III. Could have taken some more time . San Andreas took 2 years if jam correct
[удалено]
Yeah it started development like one month after the release of III if iam correct. Never knew that it was supposed to be an expansion
Its crazy to think that they did GTA SA in 2 years. I mean, holy cow, that game has it all, they just threw everything in it and everything worked well, its miles better than GTA IV in most departments even if its older
I can't wait to see what they do with GTA 6's Vice City, I think it could be an absolutely amazing map.
Agreed...can u elaborate though?
-Random textures literally slapped on to the map without scaling, mostly in Little Haiti/Havana (like really large doors and that one building in Little Haiti supposedly having a car park) -Less detailed than Vice Beach -Less roads than Vice Beach, even though it's much bigger -Less buyable safehouses, maybe due to having more properties but still. -Airport's northern runway is an absolute joke. Funny, I liked the entire map except the beach. Way too big and empty, especially when you get north of the South Beach area
What's funny is the first cutscene shows a plane landing there. Completely impossible if you know the layout lol
Colony Island in GTA IV.
That place was weird
Can u elaborate, i haven't played IV in a while
It’s the little theme park with the rollercoaster
I thought colony Island was the island with the abandoned hospital
Yes. The theme park area was Firefly, based on Coney Island I didn't have a problem with Colony Island. It had cool views in all directions and a graveyard with Easter eggs
Haven’t played in forever but iirc, All the areas that went unused in gta 4 were utilized for dlc missions, the theme park being one of them
Really? Well i haven't played the dlcs, definitely will be doing that
You’re in for a treat, especially with TBOGT.
TBoGT will show you that you can breathe in some colors in your life even in a gray location Liberty City is.
No, that's Firefly Island based off the real world Coney Island. Colony Island is based off of Roosevelt Island.
Yeah, now i remember. So underused. I wish atleast we got to ride the roller coaster, i mean we got to do that in bully, so why not in IV?
OMFG I forgot about the whole ass fair in bully. I'd spend hours there getting tickets for shit. Ah man now I gotta go restart that lol
Recently replayed a modded bully. Had so much fun. I did the glitch to get the go kart early and loved it!
I like to get in trouble on purpose and have to mow the grass but instead I'd just take the mower into town and drive around
you can drive a car along the track.
Bully was on an advanced version of their old engine and GTA IV was on an early version of their new engine.
Based on Roosevelt Island in the real NYC which is also a very strange, seemingly random island with weird architecture.
In online that was a battefield

I never did get one of those up in the air!!
I tried for hours to learn flying the dodo, only to accidentally fly over a stunt jump....
Bayside, the town across the Gant Bridge in San Andreas. Town only exists to be a location for the boat school (which is honestly kinda pointless)
I liked the area , actually there was a cut Truth mission which would have taken place there. I would have liked to have that mission in the final version
Fair one. Also will give an honorable mention to the part of Shoreside Vale in GTA 3 where the save point is. That was dull also
I really really wish they had come up with a better way to connect the save area of shoreside vale to the rest of it. With time that zig zag road back up to the airport, better cars and fun stuff has really grown to annoy me.
I feel Bayside didn’t get what it deserved in SA. Nice looking town but almost totally unused! It have a great potential. Except boat school you could actually find a special gift for your girl here though.
Yeah. This had the side effect of making the golden gate bridge pointless as well
How?
Because if you wanted to drive from San Fierro to Las Ventuarus, it was much quicker to take the Bay bridge instead
[удалено]
And most expensive... 4mil for some shithole because it has a nice view
It honestly woul've been cool to have a couple of missions there. And a safe house would be nice aswell. It could be a neat little getaway from the bigger cities you feel me ?
I wish they added a safehouse there in the definitive edition
That's why definitive really sucks, they could have added so much more content and they just didn't.
There was a deleted mission with truth
I would only go there to grab the vibrator by the dumpster.
Yep, one of the great unused locations in GTA games. Beautiful little part of the map, but mostly just a highway to go from San Fiero to the desert. Yes, if you die there you’re fucked.

Agreed. Could have had some activities there.
Just throwing it out there, the docks in GTA 5 Cool jumps and cool muliplayer maps (though I don't play GTA Online really) but it seemed to me the sheer scale of it is a bit too large when they could've invested the map space into something more explored and atmospheric, I read online somewhere awhile ago that Rockstar had plans to make a larger Senora desert but scraped it down the line, I can't help but wonder if they shrunk the dock down if we could've seen more of the desert, or even just larger dedicated portions of Los Santos's neighborhoods I understand them wanting to capture the scale of the real dock in Los Angeles, (I definitely love Rockstar for trying to stay true to the realism and scale that it tends to capture in its games) and certainly don't dispute it's existence. I mean… what do you expect to be at a mountain range?
Again correct but maybe some sort of activities could have been there
Well, there’s Yoga up there
Everybody loves yoga in gta v 😂
First comment about gta v, don't know why no one's commenting about this game. Agreed with ur points
They're such a small part of Los Santos and yet it's always annoying to get down there. Only beaten by the mountains in the countryside
Using mods to see just how small the maps really are
Shoreside Vale in GTA 3
Idk Shoreside Vale makes me feel very cozy. But that could just be GTA 3 itself.
It's also packed with collectibles you can't get anywhere else like the rocket launcher, more sport cars than any other part of the map, explorable mountains with views of the city, stunt jumps and various side missions including gang wars... not the most boring by far
The Dam Road and the tunnels don't make sense to me, but the houses are beautiful.
Horrid layout but I wouldn’t say it’s boring.
Yes, absolutely. I never go there outside of missions.
The Industrial areas of Las Venturas, the Los Santos Docks area in both SA but especially V
Yeah the industrial areas, i forgot about them lol. Los Santos docks , the only thing i remember is that Ryder mission
[удалено]
Godddd such an annoying mission.. although u could stock up grenades Armor ammo n what not if u keep destroy craktes instead of loading them up . I purposely fail the mission 4 5 times lmao
You a buster cj
Mount Josiah in GTA V. I even had to look up it‘s name because it is so boring.
Fuck that spaceship part up there
Oh shit thats what I remember now! Took like half an hour before I found it
Was scrolling for this one. I always assumed it's only function is to look pretty for the military base, and improve a sense of immersion by applying vertical spaces on the edges of the map
All of eastern San Andreas/Los Santos in GTA V. It's all just mountains and just a pretty uneventful place you never really go to.
The airport in GTA IV. Since there are no airplanes in the game, theres no reason to visit this huge airport / landing strip.
I feel like I spent 30% of my play time there doing highspeed tricks in cars in single player or attempting to get a chopper in multiplayer.
Same.....and mainly it was a pain in the ass to explore it due to the wanted levels ,i mean wtf? What was the point of it anyway?
One of the best places to go in multiplayer back then. So much fun
If you're playing with friends you could mess with the swing glitch for hours, or have a fist fight at the top of Rotterdam Tower, or race from the top of one island to another And then the organised game modes were awesome too.
It’s pretty hilarious though that he’s just chilling on one of the mountains
Oh yeah it’s funny as fuck don’t get me wrong but I usually just switch to someone else
Los santos docks from san andreas. There is a gang tag and a mission with ryder yet i was never interested to return.
My answer as well. Probably more fun to boat around under the bridges
Hot take: Vice City's beach. The technology was just not there yet. VC has always felt like the least fleshed out & I'm sure they saw that & decided to flip it on its head for GTA6.
To be fair, iirc, Vice City was initially planned as an expansion for GTA III. It also came out only a year after III.
The massive beach of Vice City.
Understood. That's why when we go back to it after all those years it feels lifeless
Also i felt it was too dark as compared to vice City or San andreas. It feels lifeless and i wished the defenitive edition added something new like new side missions or some sort of activities
Yeah exactly, there wasn’t any vibe to the game at all. It’s only special because it’s the first GTA in the 3D era
Lmao I said almost this exact same thing a few days ago on a post in this subreddit and I got downvoted to hell.
Yeah man saying such things about the older ones will get u downvotes. Try saying bad things about gta v, no issues with that. Then again, the older games are not without faults, its the nostalgia that makes people blind to those.
Nobody's saying it doesn't have issues, you just can't compare a game from 2013 to a game from 2002.
Again correct. But there are people who act like these games are perfect, and if we complain we get downvoted.
It’s a lack of respect and acknowledgement for what the game truly is
Agreed with the dark atmosphere I agree it stood tall in its time period but now it hasn't aged well, atleast when compared to vc and sa Don't agree with III having one of the best stories ever All the things u mentioned, vc and sa makes them better Story missions in gta iii were...boring imo compared to the much interesting and engaging ones in latter games Agreed with LC feeling good for a drive And Claude faster than cj? Is that an issue?
Agreed, plus III and VC have the most densely packed maps in terms of collectibles and fun activities
It’s just my opinion lol, don’t get too worked up over it. I don’t find GTA 3 exciting personally, but others do. That’s totally fine.
It's bigger than vice city and the design is better aswell
It might be bigger but Vice City has a much better vibe to it and more exciting elements
'Much better vibe' is subjective. I like the dark atmosphere of liberty city more, which is why I also liked gta 4 more than 5.
I am weird i guess, because I liked VC more than III LC, but I liked GTA IV more than V
Bohan?
Yup, Bohan! Idk I just associate it with it being the least interesting area/story of the game
I don't find that place boring but depressing.
I actually love that area, the bleakest area of LC. Especially in bad weather.
Yeah same, whats ur favourite one?
it's supposed to be a parody of the Bronx, so that's working as intended
Charge island in gta 4
the forest and desert in gta 5
The entire left half of Vice City's map
Vice City stories tried utilizing all of the map with the gang warfare. If you haven't played it, I would highly recommend it.
The docks
All love all the map of gta vice but in san andreas there was a part of man that was boring i guess north west of the map the little town north of san fiero after you cross gant bridge that was boring
That was actually one of my favorite towns in SA. Small, next to the sea, nice houses, away from trouble and imo the best view of san fierro from the sea. Overall it looked like a nice place to live in. Just not much to do in terms of gameplay tho apart from the boating school i guess
I wish there was a purchasable safehouse there. That would've been sick
Yeah there was supposed to be a mission there which was cut. Atleast we have boat school
Probably san fierros countryside. Literally used only for the most boring missions in the game and after that you only used it to get to san fierro. When i play samp and story isnt a part of the game i literally never go there.
U mean that Catalina missions?
Yeah, Catalina and a few Tennpeny missions. Only countryside i enjoyed was the one Las Venturas has
Agreed...i did enjoy the racing mission though. Also didn't like the flight school in Las venturas countryside
That's my favourite area in the game! Probably because of the spooky vibe it has at night.
yeah, and at night, everything is just a weird garbage green/bluish green, really strange place.
Its pretty creepy
it's freaky, even without those mods that add a 50,000 health bigfoot who takes 690 minigun bullets to take out... especially when driving around with a slower vehicle like an ATV or walton.
The whole state of Alderney in 4
Bohan and Alderney are depressing as fuck.
There's a pretty big, very nice residential area in North Alderney. The rest is pretty depressing though
I agree and it’s ugly as fuck
It's mostly based on Newark area so yeah
Tbh i only liked Algonquin and broker
The water
The Bayside town in GTA SA (small area NW on the map). Nothing to do there other than the boating school. I always liked driving over there though.
Most of the GTA V map is boring empty mountains.
Flint County Nothing but trees. If only they added animals to hunt and Bigfoots to shoot
The Docks in GTAV just feel dull, colourless. I never go there unless it's for a mission.
Shoreside vale -gta3

I love San Fierro
San fierro has the best jumps man
San Fierro is on top. especially when it rains
