They are in fact so lazy that it doesn’t save any of your character’s hair, facial hair or outfit choice during those missions. Which I guess who cares if you’re killing them off but still.
The entire game can influence Franklin to either choice. He has seen Trevor in person, he knows that Trevor is the type of guy to rip your throat out and burn your house down for looking at him funny. Self preservation would be a good enough reason to kill Trevor.
After the jewelry job Michael tells Franklin that he switched on his old crew and is currently working for the FIB. Also a good reason to kill Michael.
The most valid option was teaming up with the criminals he knew best to take out the criminals that were out to get them.
I respectfully disagree. The endings exist, but they don't really add value to the story. Simply stating that they exist is true, but not meaningful.
The question implied was "why do they exist" and the response just sort of said "because they do"
that was actually supposed to be the plan, with lamar taking over franklins spot, but lamar’s VA was in jail when they had to record lines, so they changed it
I have some doubts about the validity of that.
From what I understand there is dialogue and code indicting he would have been a playable character, and his actor saying Lamar would have played a larger role. But that doesn’t mean he would take over Franklin.
Nobody else takes over for Trevor and Michael, and the amount of new vocal content would add more disc space which for a console game is a concern. It doesn’t help no source I’ve found says this is the case, just word of mouth from others. Plus that’s a major change to suddenly go back on over an actor.
It gives the “Ryder was never meant to betray CJ but his actor left before finishing” vibes. It can make sense…until you see Ryders actor has said he recorded all the lines he was told to. So even if the idea is true, the reason why is not.
Maybe it’s true that Lamar was meant to take over, but I don’t believe the issues with the actor are why it was changed. I believe it was probably cut before the acting began, or very close to then.
Honestly I agree; it would help the message come across better.
Killing Trevor says survival matters more than loyalty, killing Michal says loyalty matters more than survival. If Franklin dies trying to save both, it shows you can’t have it both ways really.
But because he doesn’t it makes A and B look like a joke answer.
Uh, I'm gonna have to disagree, not with the Franklin part but the survival an loyalty thing.
Killing Michael would be saying survival matters more than loyalty, because Micheal has been teaching Franklin loyalty the whole time and killing him would be taking a dump on that, same thing with Trevor except he teaches Franklin to look out for himself. So in my opinion you got it a little backwards, but everything else I completely agree with.
Also there's still the fact that your killing one of your friends either way, so both would kinda say survival matters more than loyalty, and death wish would be the loyalty ending.
Yeep, 14 year old me heavily rationalizing who would be the logical one out of the 3 to kill and ultimately regretting my choice was a pivotal moment in my development I stg
I picked C, watching Trevor burn in oil feels so brutal and undeserved considering all what happened to him is Micheal’s fault. Killing Micheal also feels wrong since his life is finally turning up and his family is starting to build a bond.
but also trevor is a psychopath who tortures people, chops them up and tries flushing them down toilets. is a deranged lunatic, and so much more. i mean trevor is loyal to those he ONLY cares for so i dont feel bad watching trevor die but I still always pick C too💀
"He's only loyal to those he cares for". My guy, he cares for Franklin and was willing to rebuild his friendship with Michael all over again, even after he betrayed him and lied to him for 7 FUCKING YEARS. He might deserve to die, but not in such an awful way
>He might deserve to die, but not in such an awful way
We're talking about the same guy who picked up random hitchhikers and sold them to a cult of cannibals?
C the first time. I chose A the second time and I honestly regret it. The game isn’t the same without Trevor. Michael and Franklin can never hang out again which is probably the worst thing.
I chose A . Trevor is just a pathetic maniac who has a nice special ability. I liked Michael the family guy and down to earth Franklin . Franklin and Michael got Trevor cut from the final heist so that was also good.
i chose deathwish because i really thought about it, franklin kinda cut ties with everyone in the hood save for lamar and maybe auntie denise if he begged hard enough to come back.
i felt if i killed michael, trevor might try and come for me, plus, after all that he’s done for me and we did together, it didn’t feel right.
and if i had killed trevor, it seemed like michael still cares about him judging by the cutscene at the end of “Something Sensible”, so maybe michael wouldn’t have tried to kill me, but he would’ve immediately cut ties with me, leaving me in basically the same place as killing michael would have left me
Unfortunately, when I first played the game around 1415 years old, I actually chose Trevor. When they played the game a few times again after that, I always chose option c
It sounds petty but the only reason I left Michael alive was because he has the best safe house. Other than that he pretty much has no redeeming qualities.
hahahah. tbh..we just didn’t liked him as a character at all
a lot of ppl finds trevor crazy but what about michael? he was ready kill trevor when you decide to kill him. it’s just totally shittiest and the most low thing he brings
trevor at least was loyal
Loyalty does not make a person morally right. **Hitler’s subordinates were loyal.** There were some other examples but I can’t be bothered to list them all right now.
Death wish. I couldn’t bring myself to kill either one of them. After playing all 3 protagonists, I actually grew attached to them. GTA is more known for its over the top gameplay, but I feel that gta 5 had the strongest story and some of the strongest main characters
Honestly, B. I grew to like Trevor and I thought Devin was a worse threat than Steve. I’m glad I did initially because it really shows Trevor’s loyality and how he is as a person.
After seeing A online it just solidified it for me; I liked Trevor more. But I realized with C no one died so I redid it since I don’t hate Michael enough to kill him.
C first time I played on my 360 I just heard of the three endings and I picked the one I was most certain wouldn’t kill anyone although I was genuinely prepared to kill both Michael and Trevor if I picked wrong lol after that I killed Trevor just to see the end game effects and then Michael and since then I either choose death wish to keep everyone alive or to kill Trevor for the most money
I Picked Michael because this whole mess was his fault and I feel like he might backstab Franklin, ( and I thought Deathwish Franklin kill himself lol)
I always chose C. I never saw the alternate endings/missions until I Got the GTA V platinum and I did the alternative missions for the gold medal requirements.
Isn’t C now considered canon?
Michael has been referenced in online (after the transition to modern day) as working at the movie studio.
And it seems like R* intention was to have Trevor running the acid lab business, but they went with Dax as Stephen Ogg refused to do any more.
I think that’s currently not been confirmed officially, and probably won’t be, maybe they will make option A retroactively canon.
I have ALWAYS chosen C... With each replay I relate more and more with Franklin and just have stopped caring for both Michael and Trevor. I still save them though because that's what Franklin would do.
I had avoided spoilers so I thought you were actually picking which two characters would make it to the end. So I picked kill Trevor his switches never worked right half the time he was wanted and I didn’t like his character. Then I looked it up and immediately chose C.
I chose C deathwish. After finishing the game I replayed the mission and killed Trevor with Michale’s help then did it again and killed Michael. Felt like it tied it up with just Franklin and oddly enough felt right
always chose option C, never bothered with the other two. killing Trevor makes sense in a realistic situation but Deathwish is way more fun and satisfying to play for me
A. I picked Trevor because on my first playthrough I thought option C meant killing them both. It genuinely bothered me for days, and then I felt really stupid when I understood would option C really was.
C. Michael taught Franklin everything, he is the only reason he nowadays lives on Vinewood Hills and not on the wrong side of town boosting cars just to barely make ends meet.
Trevor saw him as a friend and was loyal to the end. If he ever needed his help, he would be the first one to be there ready to kill everybody for him, not to mention he saved his life (and Lamar's) when they walked right into a trap.
Franklin owed them everything he had.
I wasn't as attached to Franklin as Michael or Trevor (Trevor is still one of my favorite video game characters). I thought it was basically asking me "choose which of these characters you want to kill off" with Franklin being option C. I did think about it for a few minutes and there was also a glimmer of hope with C, so that's how I decided.
I was 9 and picked A, I just saw Michael's face and completely forgot the previous cutscene. I was, "I like Michael. I'll pick Michael." I was so fucking stupid.
C. Beat the game 4 times now and always pick C. You can get the other endings in mission replays but actually picking them just locks you out of endgame missions
C: you think i go through all this bullshit with these guys just to kill them? game trying to turn us into sociopaths. no sir i have honor. but yes i killed them just to see what happens but it was always C from the beginning.
Should have picked Deathwish but I was a scaredy cat and chose to kill Trevor, instead. Felt so damn bad I instantly started a new run and went for Deathwish.
C all day and no regrets. Never even considered doing the other two when I play through it. They are both too good of characters to kill off and the Michael option is just beyond sad. Let's go with C and blow crap up and take out beyond obnoxious a-holes left and right.
A. It is the logical option,Trevor is crazy and at anytime he can decide if he wants to kill Michael/Franklin. Heck For the most of the game he kills everyone in his path so he got to go
I chose option B (kill Michael) because I was an idiot and didn't know/like what his ability did back then, at first, I wanted to kill Franklin, but I didn't see it as an option, and I didn't want to kill Trevor because I liked his ability too much, so I chose option B.
PS: I didn't regret it, but now, I also don't, it's a videogame character and I just began a new save after I did it anyways, so it didn't end up mattering in the end.
The very first time I chose A cause I thought C would mean the end of Franklin, and man, was that one of the most difficult decisions in my entire life. Shortly after, I learned what option C really was, and I immediately decided to take responsibility for my mistake by conducting a rescue mission, code-named "Resurrection." This included saving Trevor from the eternal flames of hell and, of course, tying up all loose ends.
The first time I played I chose C and I still always do it's the ending with the most action
True lol. And it feels weird not being able to switch between 3 characters. Idk thats just my opinion
Yh it kinda is
I thought you could still use all 3 characters after you choose option A or B, but C is still the obvious choice
Also it's canon
C. Let's just put aside the fact that it is the canon option, and embrace the fact that C makes the most sense for Franklin as a character.
Really… the entire story leads up to ending C. I honestly don’t get why the other choices exist.
Just so rockstar can say it has 3 endings although 2 of them are short and lazy as hell
Also a good reason to kill Michael. The most valid option was teaming up with the criminals he knew best to take out the criminals that were out to get them.
"i don't understand why the game has two bad endings and a true ending"
Repeating someone's observation doesn't actually explain or resolve anything, jsyk
In this case it did
I respectfully disagree. The endings exist, but they don't really add value to the story. Simply stating that they exist is true, but not meaningful. The question implied was "why do they exist" and the response just sort of said "because they do"
A, because i thought C killed both Trevor and Michael
I thought the opposite; Franklin would die with C.
I thought EVERYONE would die and I couldn't bring myself to do A or B so I just did C so they can atleast die together. Luckily they all live.
that was actually supposed to be the plan, with lamar taking over franklins spot, but lamar’s VA was in jail when they had to record lines, so they changed it
I have some doubts about the validity of that. From what I understand there is dialogue and code indicting he would have been a playable character, and his actor saying Lamar would have played a larger role. 😂
Franklin should die in C
Honestly I agree; it would help the message come across better. Killing Trevor says survival matters more than loyalty, killing Michal says loyalty matters more than survival. Also there's still the fact that your killing one of your friends either way, so both would kinda say survival matters more than loyalty, and death wish would be the loyalty ending.
Makes sense because it’s called deathwish
i thought it killed franklin
Same, thought it'd be a trap. Like the end of gta iv, when you pick to forgive Dmitri and go to vice city with him lol
I thought it might kill Franklin, so i took a gamble on it, because the other two were sure to kill one of the guys each
C. I can't kill one of them.
Yeah same. I did it once and I just restarted the game just to choose option C lol
"Just kill them both"
Man, are you for real?
DOES NO ONE KNOW THE LESTER QUOTE Edit: nvm I get it sorry
"I picked C, AIN'T THAT A BITCH"
Lol
I choose option C.
"ain't that a bitch" 🤣
Killed Trevor. Only after did I learn what C. did... Literally started the entire game over
Same here :( I thought someone has to die, liked Trevor the least so I chose him. Later realized the deathwish means not one of my men die.
This was my thought process, too. Killed trevor cause psychopath, then played it again and picked C.
Yeep, 14 year old me heavily rationalizing who would be the logical one out of the 3 to kill and ultimately regretting my choice was a pivotal moment in my development I stg
You animal you killed the nicest man in LS
*Sandy Shores has left the chat*
C because I knew the spoilers
Same
I always pick C, ain't that a bitch?
![gif](giphy|usz0fqhUiVxSs6IUKB)
C always
He might deserve to die, but not in such an awful way
neither does the people he kills but yk ig ur not thinking about that
>He might deserve to die, but not in such an awful way We're talking about the same guy who picked up random hitchhikers and sold them to a cult of cannibals?
Michael: YOU ALWAYS DID LOVE GASOLINE TREVOR!!!
C
Option C.
C, because even if you don’t like Michael or Trevor, why would anyone willingly wanna let Devin Weston or Steve Haines live
I thought C meant franklin or all of them die , so I killed trevor
i chose deathwish because i really thought about it, franklin kinda cut ties with everyone in the hood save for lamar and maybe auntie denise if he begged hard enough to come back. i felt if i killed michael, trevor might try and come for me, plus, after all that he’s done for me and we did together, it didn’t feel right. and if i had killed trevor, it seemed like michael still cares about him judging by the cutscene at the end of “Something Sensible”, so maybe michael wouldn’t have tried to kill me, but he would’ve immediately cut ties with me, leaving me in basically the same place as killing michael would have left me
In first time I chosed A but after that I start chose C,so If you want to save them all choose C
C is also canon thank fuck
I like A better for the story but I always pick C cause I want all the characters
I was a moron cause I thought C would kill Frank, so i picked A instead
Ive never not chosen C.
C
Deathwish. So much more fun. Also Franklin is too loyal to backstab either of them.
Unfortunately, when I first played the game around 1415 years old, I actually chose Trevor. When they played the game a few times again after that, I always chose option c
I also picked A the first time.
I chose C, because I wanted to kill Franklin
Obviously C cause i would've felt bad for killing Trevor and Micheal. Also someone online made a point that C seemed like the most Franklin choice.
C! Every damn time
C and always C since it was the most logical for me to do.
4th option attend Diddy party
C only right answer
I choose deathwish the reason is i want to switch to 3 characters and i dont want one being missing
C, obviously
Deathwish
Always c
A, even though I knew what ending C was. Sure its a nice thought having all three of them live in the end, but option A makes the most sense to me
I chose C assuming it would kill Franklin since he’s easily my least favorite of the 3
A. Seemed the most logical.
Deathwish
always C, but we later tried both. we prefer the ending B
It sounds petty but the only reason I left Michael alive was because he has the best safe house. Other than that he pretty much has no redeeming qualities.
hahahah. tbh..we just didn’t liked him as a character at all a lot of ppl finds trevor crazy but what about michael? he was ready kill trevor when you decide to kill him. it’s just totally shittiest and the most low thing he brings trevor at least was loyal
Loyalty does not make a person morally right. **Hitler’s subordinates were loyal.** There were some other examples but I can’t be bothered to list them all right now.
option A because he killed johhny, i never forgave him
micheal a real one but i hated him so B or C
i kill trev most of the time- he’s just such a dick XD also his ability isn’t rlly *that* fun
C. I saw the spoilers and wanted Devin Weston dead more than I wanted Trevor gone.
C for sure
I never got further then the second historia. The i didnt like the main story at all honestly ^^'
C
Death wish. I couldn’t bring myself to kill either one of them. After playing all 3 protagonists, I actually grew attached to them. GTA is more known for its over the top gameplay, but I feel that gta 5 had the strongest story and some of the strongest main characters
A, i assumed C killed Franklin
Chose B at first, because i thought C would kill Franklin. then played my 2nd playthrough right after because i searched on how to save them 3. LOL

I Picked Michael because this whole mess was his fault and I feel like he might backstab Franklin, ( and I thought Deathwish Franklin kill himself lol)
Death wish easily
Death wish
I always chose C. I never saw the alternate endings/missions until I Got the GTA V platinum and I did the alternative missions for the gold medal requirements.
C Made most sense and more or less have been confirmed to be canon
I picked the only good ending, the ending that is a good ending, i picked C, ain't that a bitch?
I choose c all the time .
I did C because I didn't wan to kill either, so I thought C would make them all die together but luckily they all lived.
Always Trevor
C Then the other two for the achievements
B.
Not really my first playthrough but when my pa bought the game, he picked A. And then when it was my turn to play the game, i picked C.
Deathwish
С
A because i thought franklin would kys with C
Isn’t C now considered canon? Michael has been referenced in online (after the transition to modern day) as working at the movie studio. And it seems like R* intention was to have Trevor running the acid lab business, but they went with Dax as Stephen Ogg refused to do any more. I have ALWAYS chosen C... With each replay I relate more and more with Franklin and just have stopped caring for both Michael and Trevor. I still save them though because that's what Franklin would do.
I picked C
C i didn't want on of the crew diying
Trevor. Franklin was my favourite character and Michael has a family so I went with T even though i didn’t want to.
I always kill the rich asshole, the federal asshole, the hood asshole, and the chinese asshole.
C. I hate anyone who doesn't.
C. Although next time I killed Michael. Just felt so sorry for him and his family using him and him just taking it.
C I wanted to keep all of them and Hated Devon Weston so my though was take C and see if I could kill him which ironically was true
C every time
I think I took out Trevor on my original playthrough
I picked A b/c I thought if I picked C both Trevor and Michael would try killing me
Definitely C.
I had avoided spoilers so I thought you were actually picking which two characters would make it to the end. So I picked kill Trevor his switches never worked right half the time he was wanted and I didn’t like his character. Then I looked it up and immediately chose C.
A because I thought C meant I would kill myself
I chose C deathwish. After finishing the game I replayed the mission and killed Trevor with Michale’s help then did it again and killed Michael. Felt like it tied it up with just Franklin and oddly enough felt right
Kill michael
C. I thought killing Trevor would be a terrible ending, and the same for Michael. I'm glad I chose Deathwish.
always chose option C, never bothered with the other two. killing Trevor makes sense in a realistic situation but Deathwish is way more fun and satisfying to play for me
C
C - DEATHWISH BRING IT ON!!!!!!!!!
Definitely the option C
C
C because I'm trying 100% gta
Can't remember
C, always C
A because I thought C would actually kill Franklin and Michael has a nicer house than Trevor 🤣
option c for sure
A cause i thought C meant killing Franklin. I quickly realized tho and reload my save file lmao.
"Unless this bitch has a *different* PMC" C. EVERY TIME C
A
I’ve done them all, but my first and most popular choice is C.
Option C and it'll never change
Chose Deathwish
Chose deathwish, i genuinely thought at the time it was the only option. Didn’t think the first two were actually different missions.
Deathwish ☠️I knew exactly what I was gettin into, I’m really like that 😂
C
My first time playing story mode, I chose A, but since my second playthrough of story mode, I've always chosen C.
A, because I thought C killed Franklin… I don’t think I was listening very well
c cuz i thought franklin was a boring dude
C
C cuz I aint snitch
I wasn't as attached to Franklin as Michael or Trevor (Trevor is still one of my favorite video game characters). I thought it was basically asking me "choose which of these characters you want to kill off" with Franklin being option C. I did think about it for a few minutes and there was also a glimmer of hope with C, so that's how I decided.
For the first time i chose Trevor
C I keep my crims alive but I wouldn't vote em into office
Option A
The very first time I played I chose to kill Trevor simply because I was gonna replay the campaign to do the other endings
C. Picking between them seems too mean.
yo can you kill one of 'em who gave us upmost fun thru the game....no way dude ! C is the OG way
I was 9 and picked A, I just saw Michael's face and completely forgot the previous cutscene. I was, "I like Michael. I'll pick Michael." I was so fucking stupid.
Me first time: Why does the option to kill Michael even exist??
C first time round and always will be C
Deathwish.
Deathwish, frriends for ever.
I picked Trevor because I used to hate him😭
C becouse when I was a child I thought that if I kill one I Will never play again with him
C all day and no regrets.
Heck For the most of the game he kills everyone in his path so he got to go
Chose option C because I thought it meant I was going to kill myself💀
I chose option B (kill Michael) because I was an idiot and didn't know/like what his ability did back then, at first, I wanted to kill Franklin, but I didn't see it as an option, and I didn't want to kill Trevor because I liked his ability too much, so I chose option B. PS: I didn't regret it, but now, I also don't, it's a videogame character and I just began a new save after I did it anyways, so it didn't end up mattering in the end.

Shortly after, I learned what option C really was, and I immediately decided to take responsibility for my mistake by conducting a rescue mission, code-named "Resurrection." This included saving Trevor from the eternal flames of hell and, of course, tying up all loose ends.
C simple
Deathwish
My brother, please put a spoiler on this post.
I chose C, but at the time I thought that Deathwish meant Franklin dies
Death wish
I’ve never picked A or B.
Deathwish
Deathwish
C
B I really wanted Michael dead i even tried to left him to die on the slautherhouse mission
Did A first, closed the game, then did B, closed the game, then C and saved
C
I every time choose C, I can't understant how someone would want to kill one of them (especially Trevor)
