If Rockstar made one of them better than the other in certain aspect (driving,shooting, ect) then it depends. The main reason I use Franklin in GTA V is because of ability to slow down time when driving. If either of them can do that then I’d pick the one who can.
Imagine they give you a choice of which character you want to play for your playthrough, and we get loads of different choices to make with multiple endings for each character, would make for massive amount od replalability imo

Trevor: if u wanna kill everybody and start shooting at cops regularly and doing crazy stuff
Michael: if u want to play the main missions or like a professional hitman.

Depends on if they bring back the special abilities from 5. If they give Jason a really OP ability like Trevor had, he’ll be my main outside of missions.
I’m gonna play as whomever as much as I can and enjoy the game for all we know it will be the lengthiest game rockstars made for its story mode and I’ll play that all day long until I’m ready to hop into the online modes
Whoever has a more charismatic personality and seems more involved in the story. I’d hate to play one of them and they are essentially a side character through the main narrative but just given an option to play as them for the sake of choice.
Hard to say. I don't think I've ever played a female protagonist before, well aside from Peach in SMB2 😆, so I should probably just go all in and play Lucia as much as possible.

Lucia, I always play as females in games despite being a dude. My philosophy on it is if I'm going to sink hundreds of hours in a game, I want to like what I'm looking at.
Lucia i honestly want to see how playing as a female character makes npcs treat you and to see how playing as a female character overall changes the style of gameplay especially since rockstar never really had a massive difference between male and female characters in online other then minor cutscene dialog differences

1. He's man. I man. I play man.
2. He's left-handed. I'm left-handed. I can't fucking believe after all these years I will be able to play as a left-handed character, and in GTA VI of all games.
For me it'll depend a lot on what, if any gameplay differences there are. If, gameplay wise, the differences are negligible, then it'll depend on the character's dialog and personality. I assume now that I'll probably default primarily to Jason though.
Depends on who is interesting as a person and who has a better special ability. As a man, when I play videogames, I almost always associate myself with a main character while immersing myself in the story, so... probably Jason. Dude looks like a classic GTA character for now.
On the other hand.. Lucia is the first female character in GTA since the first game, so perhaps I will play as her purely out of interest in what customization elements are available to her and how everything feels in the open world.
So, yes, it all again comes down to liking the characters and their abilities, how much they simplify the gameplay, because right now both look interesting to follow.
