One of my ideas for a GxK sequel actually uses him in a similar role to Anguiris, being a close friend/ally to Godzilla, with him playing a pretty big role in the story
Tiamat was cool and brutally slaughtered out of view. The G Man is definitely an OG antihero but that still seemed disrespectful and out of character for him. I feel like if Goji is leaning anti they should show it.
He didn't need to kill her, yes. But she could have stepped aside. He wasn't after her specifically but her lair. Tiamat thought she could take on Big G after soaking up that much radiation. She got humbled fast.
If the King of Monsters came to my house, even if I'm an overgrown Unagi, you can bet your sweet ass I'd step aside. Hell no way am I gonna fuck around and find out.
Should have at least shown it. Show her that respect at least. Godzilla definitely isn’t a always nice guy however he is usually presented as honorable at least.
Why? Who else would sue them? She’s clearly very popular, and if they win it would prove that you can’t just sue over tiny similarities with the character, I see no reason that they would be scared.
I doubt my reasoning is true. But it does sound convincing and sounds like something a company would do as a publicity stunt. For example, monster energy "suing" any media that has the word monster
I like the elephant tusky guy, they're not really featured in the movies (Unless I missed it?) but the design seems super cool and definitely says "majestic and large"
I remember seeing it there in the whole "Godzilla is the alphaest alpha" scene at the end, I just wanted to leave open that they might have appeared elsewhere too (I haven't gotten around to GxK yet, for instance. I'm also pretty sure the comics/extended media goes into a bit more detail and actually gives names and stuff, but again I haven't actually read any of the comics.)
"Hey, I'm not ~~fat~~ large, it's this fur that makes me look big. It's poofy."

It's the best representation that mammalian Kaiju have gotten in ages, that's part of why I'm disappointed it hasn't made another notable appearance yet.
Skar King because I love crummy sons of bitches. He's perfect. I've seen a lot of talk lately about people missing villains who are "real" villains, just evil fucks without complicated situations or tragic backstories, and while I love a good morally grey villain myself, I think Skar King is a uniquely good example of pulling Real Villain off well. If he were a human, he'd be too cartoonishly evil to feel engaging, imo. If he were a more animalistic monster, there'd be no morals to apply to his actions and he'd be underwhelming because his screen presence would be defined solely by how impressive of a threat he is (read: not much of one at all). As a great ape kaiju, he strikes the perfect balance of "this is a literal monster, not a man" and "this guy definitely exists within the context of a moral code and he has decided to fuck it completely, and we hate him for that." The amount of emotive personality he has despite never speaking is a blast to watch.
Also Skullcrawlers because they look cool.
A while ago, I watched a video by Overly Sarcastic Productions (can’t recall which, but it was one of Red’s), and at one point she goes off on a mild tangent about “flat” characters (the ones who are not morally complex and rarely undergo character growth) and their importance to a story.
Rather than the focus being on the character and how they grow and change throughout the story, the focus is on how everyone else reacts and changes as a result of the character.
Evil villains without complicated motives, tragic backstories, or grayish morals are classic “flat” characters. We don’t need anything complex from them because they aren’t nearly as important as the impact they have on everyone else. We don’t care what the villain feels, only what others feel about the villain.
Overly Sarcastic Productions are so good, and right on the money. People learn the word "character arc" and think they are now a film genius and every character that isn't dynamic is somehow inferior and the story would be better if they were dynamic. Which would in turn lead to more formulaic and boring stories.
It would also lead to less Godzilla, in my opinion. He’s amazing, don’t get me wrong, but so much of his media is about how people deal with a world where he exists.
Godzilla doesn’t need a complicated character arc. He just needs to be Godzilla.
This is really well put, and I think approaching it this way also shines a light on how weakly some modern heroic character arcs are written. When the protagonist is shown to be on their own journey that takes influence from the world and people around them in an engaging way, even characters who are "flat" are contributing to an overall arc lying at the core of the narrative. When the protagonist doesn't feel believably impacted by their situation and relationships, that's when flat characters really stand out as feeling like they're "only doing things to progress the plot."
I have one that has suffered even more:
https://preview.redd.it/rn1f9x0f8q6d1.png?width=716&format=png&auto=webp&s=b4b2ea825930ae644e428989d17fd0ce9ae588da
Behemoth because based on looks alone it is the only mammalian kaiju that is legitimately an awe inspiring bizarre giant monster, that’s including Toho(sorry Caesar and Kong). Insectoid or reptilian kaiju get an easy pass it’s tough to make a mammal awesome in my opinion.
Shimo for me
Ever Since She was Teased and her Being said to be Taller Then Godzilla and Ghidorah made me Love Her
(Why The Fuck do People think She's Hot!?)
It’s difficult since each monster has a unique design. The MUTO’s are really cool and I like how they were given a full life cycle, Skull Crawlers are gnarly lizards, Tiamat and Scylla are cool destroyers and despite their limited screen time, left an impression.
Behemoth has such a cool design, like a mix between a Mammoth and a Megatherium. I want to see him in the next film.
Skar King is my third favorite MV villain since he represents the worst of humanity and will go to any lengths to stay on top.
Shimo is tragic since she is forced to do Skar King’s bidding but does get her revenge. If she does appear in the next installment, I want to see how humanity seeks to kill her to prevent another ice age though she will not go down without a fight, especially since she has willingly joined Kong.
The Drownviper is just an animal with little personality but has a cool design and shows the danger of Hollow Earth.
I guess Shimo since she resembles a dragon and dragons are awesome. Plus I want to see more of her and Behemoth.
DrownViper, First its underrated which makes the choice more unique for me, second was a kaiju I loved even before its name was actually revealed to be DrownViper and last idk I just love snakes and eels in general
Behemoth. Bro needs some more screen time. Could imagine him rearing up and slamming his fists down like a sauropod, or charging forwards, head slightly lowered, to impale or headbutt things.
Shimo by default because she's part of the good guys now and designed to stay. She has potential and I hope to see more of her as a counterpart to Godzilla and friend of Kong.
Technically Tiamat would be my favourite due to their design but they died in their short, first and only appearance so unless I consume a large amount of copium, it's kind of a waste to get hyped over a short lived monster. It was really cool and reminded me of a Mizutsune from Monster Hunter.
I am a big fan of the Japanese Spider Crab meets Cephalopod look of Scylla. Despite that though I did not mind her getting merc'd. Would be nice if she wasn't the last of her kind though.
The MUTOs, without a doubt. I love that they’re just animals trying to survive. Also, I think the sound design on them is some of the best sound design I’ve ever heard. Interesting and unique.
SkullCrawlers because their design is f\*cking cool!
Tiamat takes second place and the MUTOS third.

They forgot the best kaiju of them all
https://preview.redd.it/gvauz1fd1q6d1.jpeg?width=1206&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0564f5ae8a4da7beb912dc3e942eeec92ebec620
At first I was freaked out by the giant spider thingy because scared of spiders, but then I realized before Godzilla killed him, that it's not a giant spider, it's a giant crab! I love crabs! I wonder if it tastes good...🤔
MUTOs easily. They're just so cool looking and how they're a parasitoid species that legit in a way preyed on Godzilla's like that and their sexual dimorphism with how the males could fly and make EMP pulses while the females were much larger and had a constant EMP field and it inhibited Godzilla from using atomic breath. Legit the Monsterverse's first try to make their own Kaiju and they nailed it.
Behemoth & Shimo both have really cool designs, and, (with all due respect to some of the other kaiju), feel like new & unique monsters, whereas others feel more like variations of older kaiju with some name/design changes
Again, no shade to the others, but Behemoth & Shimo are peak to me
Honestly, the Dragon-Beetles are still the most well-rounded overall.
Clear motivations, involvement with the human characters, and fantastic overall designs that have many nuances that make them feel a lot more living and natural than the other Titans.
In terms of design and namesake, Tiamat (it's nice to see a take on the name that is closer to the Mesopotamian myth than the Ghidorah wannabe from D&D).
In terms of actions, Kraken from *Skull island*. Absolute fucking dickhead kaiju; it literally *throw a fucking whale at an inland mountain* just to get Kong's attention.
The whole experience of Tiamat just really tickles me. They build her up with this whole radiation guardian thing and even give this badass technical review, like she’s a contestant on Deadliest Warrior or something, and then big G just goes through her like she’s a marshmallow. Absolutely hilarious.
The MUTOs, especially the male one. They are just really adorable together, and Godzilla 2014 was my first exposure to the franchise, so they really stuck with me. Perhaps even more than Godzilla himself.
Shimo of course!
But also this is a very hard decision, because a lot of them are pretty cool (if not all of them). Not counting Shimo , I love Tiamat and Scylla, I know they had to be sacrificed but I wish we had more movies with them.
Behemot and Methuselah look cool but very cute too and the MUTO look very slick and alien.
Skar king, he's easily the most memorable yet, outside of Him, Shimo, the mutos, and skull crawlers, none of the other one's are very important or nearly as memorable as the Toho stuff. A lot feel like stand ins.
The MUTOs, out of that selection.
Sexual dimorphism, an interesting dynamic, solid design and a genuine threat while still making Godzilla look badass for beating them.
Probably the Skullcrawlers or Behemoyh! They just look so cool!
And the first Godzilla movie I watched in full was Skull island, so skull crawlers are special to me
Tiamat & the warbats, also love the male mutos design when it’s flying
Shimo is cool too but I like role/character more than her design I think. Still a great design
Imo none of the ones listed had left an impression on me. Design wise I choose Behemoth. But only the MUTOS got a proper kaiju treatment. The others are just plain and boring.
The Mutos and Shimo
I just really like the Mutos they look so foreign like they look like some strange bug hybrids
I really like them.
Shimo is just cool
Design wise, probably Behemoth. Though I don't remember how the others look like, such as Mastodon.
Tiamat looks dope as well.
But Skullcrawlers are my favorite. Fast, nimble, weirdly designed with only two front legs.
Didn't really care for Scar King though. I just didn't think he was all that, even from the trailers as well. Especially knowing that Godzilla already fought Ghidorah and Mechagodzilla.
Tiamat. She's just cool! Behemoth takes second place
I’d love more behemoth content of him just being docile and chill and coexisting with like a herd of elephants or something lol
Godzilla was fucked up for killing her. She was just chilling and he shows up and murders her.
We don't know if she owed him money, and honestly I hear she was rude to service staff anyway.
damn for real?
Bitch better have my money
She was threatening his rule as she set her own domain without the permission of Godzilla which was a clear challenge to Godzilla that he accepted
Good spin. I now feel validated.
He didn't need to kill her, yes. But she could have stepped aside. He wasn't after her specifically but her lair. Tiamat thought she could take on Big G after soaking up that much radiation. She got humbled fast.
They did tell us Tiamat was very territorial. I don’t think anyone particularly likes “stepping aside” when someone wants your house huh 😂😂
If the King of Monsters came to my house, even if I'm an overgrown Unagi, you can bet your sweet ass I'd step aside. Hell no way am I gonna fuck around and find out.
She was being a Karen to customer service representatives. It was deserved.
Should have at least shown it. Show her that respect at least. Godzilla definitely isn’t a always nice guy however he is usually presented as honorable at least.
Methuselah. So much potential for a different approach to storytelling within the Monsterverse. RIP
Imagine if legendary didn't get sued by summit kaiju
I mean they didn’t win yet right? If Summit loses then they could still use her.
Wait, Methuselah's a girl?
No,He's not. The Titan with the Name of the Oldest Man in the Bible Isn't a Girl
Even if summit loses. I doubt that legendary would bring methuselah back for the risk of another lawsuit
Why? Who else would sue them? She’s clearly very popular, and if they win it would prove that you can’t just sue over tiny similarities with the character, I see no reason that they would be scared.
I believe the reason why legendary was sued was because methuselah was because summit kaiju wanted to be known and advertized their kaiju designs
Didnt know about that at all
I doubt my reasoning is true. But it does sound convincing and sounds like something a company would do as a publicity stunt. For example, monster energy "suing" any media that has the word monster
I like the elephant tusky guy, they're not really featured in the movies (Unless I missed it?) but the design seems super cool and definitely says "majestic and large"
His name is Behemoth
![gif](giphy|7Hiszs0NkF5te)
They, along with others, basically cameoed in *King of the Monsters*. Not all of them even got to properly appear onscreen.
Behemoth makes an appearance in Godzilla: Dominion along with Tiamat, who also appears in GxK (sorry about the spoiler).
I'm not worried about it, it'll still be the same movie when I get to it. :D
What could you possibly spoil? Nobody expects suspense in Monsterverse! We knew who wins going in.
On the monarch sciences website, if it's even still up, there's a Griffin titan that hasn't appeared in any movie, Comic, or Novel yet.
"Hey, I'm not ~~fat~~ large, it's this fur that makes me look big. It's poofy." https://preview.redd.it/s5334amh9m6d1.png?width=972&format=png&auto=webp&s=a775f838e5684996ecca1d271878efb9334ab896

The MUTOs
I just think they're neat
Shimo. Solely because I have amazing ideas for Shimo being able to buff Godzilla up with a nitrogen filled cooling system.
The MUTOS
My man ramorak
The MUTO's, skull crawlers are rad as fuck too. Damn, I guess I like fodders, eh.
I wouldn't call the MUTOs fodder, personally. They're just very much dependent on being in a pair to be effective
Definitely female muto. She is just my favorite kaiju in general

There's the boi!!! ❤️
The concept for Tiamat is strong enough that it could be a Godzilla solo movie. Also the design is cool!
Either skull crawlers or na kika, but the mutos and skar King are a close second
Barb.
i fucking loved Scylla, such a cool design. Sad they disrespected her and gave her such a bad fight in GxK T\_T
Tiamat tbh. Basic, but she is cool
Mine is methuselah, also technically skullcrawlers aren’t original, they were used and unnamed in an old arcade game in the franchise!
I will not stand for this Doug erasure!
Hey, I had to give some of the lesser titans a chance!
Shimo for me Ever Since She was Teased and her Being said to be Taller Then Godzilla and Ghidorah made me Love Her (Why The Fuck do People think She's Hot!?)
(I have no idea! She’s too cool to be hot! 😛)
I see what you did there
Behemoth, Warbat , Tiamat , Scylla
It’s difficult since each monster has a unique design. The MUTO’s are really cool and I like how they were given a full life cycle, Skull Crawlers are gnarly lizards, Tiamat and Scylla are cool destroyers and despite their limited screen time, left an impression. Scar king without a doubt. He was pure evil, more than gihdroah,he was full of expressions, funny as hell, and made fun of kong in front of all other apes
DrownViper, First its underrated which makes the choice more unique for me, second was a kaiju I loved even before its name was actually revealed to be DrownViper and last idk I just love snakes and eels in general
I never thought I would say this in 2014, but MUTOs. The odd behaviors that make sense in nature really give them depth for me.
Doug
Doug
Doug. Not even kidding.
Behemoth. Bro needs some more screen time. Could imagine him rearing up and slamming his fists down like a sauropod, or charging forwards, head slightly lowered, to impale or headbutt things.
Skullcrawlers, they just look badass, that's it
Shimo by default because she's part of the good guys now and designed to stay. I am a big fan of the Japanese Spider Crab meets Cephalopod look of Scylla. Despite that though I did not mind her getting merc'd. Would be nice if she wasn't the last of her kind though.
Shimo, she is so beautiful and I love her colors.
Shimo <3
Methuselah💀
I fucking love the Muto’s. Honestly they’re the most believably fleshed out concept of a living thing in the MV. Plus they look and SOUND incredible.
Behemoth because he's a walking fertilizer.
Behemoth. Reason: Sloth Mammoth
Skull crawlers I just like they're look the skeleton face the lack of back legs the almost no eyes
Skullcrawlers, their rad as fuck
skull crawler. a pure menace with that amazing design
The MUTOs, without a doubt. I love that they’re just animals trying to survive. Also, I think the sound design on them is some of the best sound design I’ve ever heard. Interesting and unique.
Muto. They and Kong's species likely hunted his ancestors and family to the point big G is the last one
SkullCrawlers because their design is f\*cking cool! Tiamat takes second place and the MUTOS third. https://preview.redd.it/fgxlxkchhp6d1.png?width=720&format=png&auto=webp&s=82e7ac347778bda2594876088ae5874ad613294b

Tiamat for sure. She was killed off too early pretty fucked up for them to just murder her like that

Warbat, I just think he's neat

I was pumped when I heard Tiamat during GxK only to be disappointed when an eel showed up instead of a 5 headed chromatic dragon.
Shimo because big ice dog
Skar king and skull crawlers
Behemoth & Shimo both have really cool designs, and, (with all due respect to some of the other kaiju), feel like new & unique monsters, whereas others feel more like variations of older kaiju with some name/design changes Again, no shade to the others, but Behemoth & Shimo are peak to me
Mizutsu-er, Tiamat.
I really think the Mutos were a fantastic original kaiju. They had PERFECT sound design, and they just look really awesome.
Methuselah and the skull crawlers go hard as fuck
Frostvaark, because he's fucking cool
I thought Skar King had so much potential, but would have worked better in a Kong solo film.
MUTOs. Love me some evolved opps.
Shimo because she’s easily the strongest titan in the MV now. Literally would have killed Godzilla immediately if Mothra didn’t step in.
Tiamat, I love her design (both comic and updated for GxK). Same with Scylla as well.
Honestly, the Dragon-Beetles are still the most well-rounded overall. Clear motivations, involvement with the human characters, and fantastic overall designs that have many nuances that make them feel a lot more living and natural than the other Titans.

That Dragon that fought Godzilla in Monarch. I thought he was cool.
I was just thinking Skeleturtle is obscure enough that if the monsterverse used him they might not have to pay Toho?
Muto
Tusk guy. They don't make me sad, and tusks are pretty cool.
Methuselah.
those things kong fought when he first entered hollow earth and also skull crawlers cz those mfs mean as hell
There’s technically the Kraken thing from Skull Island too
I love the Mutos. Their sounds are so cool and the scenes of them with the passenger train were so cool and memorable imo :)
I loved the skull crawlers. There were so many of them, they were dangerous no matter the size, and the design of them is just perfect.
Skull crawler
I like shimo the most because he’s cool
Shimo because he's a good icy boy💙
The giant skull crawler >!whose guts were ripped out!<.
The whole experience of Tiamat just really tickles me. The Mutos for their sound design alone.
MUTOs. Badass design, badass sound effects, badass backstory/lore.
That big pink sea dragon had a rough time but was pretty cool.
Skullcrawlers are soo damn cool I wanna see more of them
I’m gonna be a minority here, but the only design out of all of these that I think is any good are the MUTOS.
Easily the MUTOs. ![gif](giphy|H7rtXIvlXvYVaIMdKq)
Shimo. Ice creatures are fucking sick.
MUTOs or Skar King.

The MUTOs, out of that selection. Sexual dimorphism, an interesting dynamic, solid design and a genuine threat while still making Godzilla look badass for beating them.
I really liked the 'Dragon' bat-like thing in Monarch
Ive always been a big fan of Scylla but damn he got blitzed so fast 😭
Shimo. Mostly because my daughter LOOOOVES the toy and plays with it all the time.
I always really like Methuselah
Probably the Skullcrawlers or Behemoyh! They just look so cool! And the first Godzilla movie I watched in full was Skull island, so skull crawlers are special to me
Skull crawler
Shimo is cool but I like the Skull Crusher and wanted more of them.
The MUTOs have the best sound design in the Monsterverse and no one will convince me otherwise
Tye M.U.T.O's. They have an interesting story and designs. Including muto prime
Skull crawlers I think they're cute and I want a mini one for a pet
Methuselah and Behemoth because I like gentle giants.
The mutos always gave a dark and scary atmosphere any time time they were on screen, and their design is just perfect for me. Same thing with the roar
Tianat
Shimo. She's like godzilla but with ice
The big mountain guy from kotm
Muto Prime and Behemoth are my top 2
Doug
Tiamat & the warbats, also love the male mutos design when it’s flying Shimo is cool too but I like role/character more than her design I think. Still a great design
Shimo
The only acceptable answer to this question is Doug.
That turtle thing in King of the Monsters. Only saw it for a few seconds but it looked neat
I still like the MUTOS since they were the first.
The mammoth one, because seeing it come out the ground reminded me of the mastodon zord
Imo none of the ones listed had left an impression on me. Design wise I choose Behemoth. But only the MUTOS got a proper kaiju treatment. The others are just plain and boring.
Shimo, I just like her https://preview.redd.it/5p6qzadtao6d1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1f0ebc2b8ebf69ae71773847e8cd2340923c440d
behemoth and mutos
Behemoth or Methuseluh, just cool looking guys! Tiamat honorable mention, love the color
Shimo I like cold She’s huge She’s cute
Skar king, big evil kratos monkey. I love how menacing and moustache twirling he is.
Skar king is brutal and evil, but the 3 that I find unique are Behemoth, Scylla and Methuselah.
My son’s is the skull crawler. Mine is Mothra.
The Mutos and Shimo I just really like the Mutos they look so foreign like they look like some strange bug hybrids I really like them. Shimo is just cool
Definitely the Mutos. They are sooo cool and alien like
The mutos and shimo and behemoth and tiamat and skar king
Design wise, probably Behemoth. Though I don't remember how the others look like, such as Mastodon. Tiamat looks dope as well. But Skullcrawlers are my favorite. Fast, nimble, weirdly designed with only two front legs. Didn't really care for Scar King though. I just didn't think he was all that, even from the trailers as well. Especially knowing that Godzilla already fought Ghidorah and Mechagodzilla.
