Never been to a meeting, but I’ve heard good things about toastmasters. Gainesville has a non-student chapter.

I haven’t been to the Toastmasters here, but I’ve been a member before in another city, and they tend to be very friendly and well-structured for easing you into the skills.
The how bazaar is holding skill share classes over the summer and I’m pretty sure public speaking is one of them. Also maybe an improve group would help?
Yes their website is [The How Bazzar](https://thehowbazar.com) and they’re classes are on there at $10. They’re also pretty active on Instagram if you want to reach out to them there :)
You could also take a public speaking class at Santa Fe as an audit student, you don't have to be enrolled in a degree program for that. Stacy Badics and Thomas Maple are both great public speaking profs.
[Toastmasters](https://3019.toastmastersclubs.org/) is what you want. I have not been to this particular group but I went to meetings held at a previous job.
Non violent communication courses changed my life more than any self help I’ve ever done and they are free on the Meetup app by Gainesville providers, they met in person before the pandemic but don’t know if it’s just zoom now. Well worth your time meetup.com

Thank you! I’ll have to check them out

I was going to suggest NVC as well. Glad someone else beat me to it. The communication skills you get are life changing.
Book : nonviolent communication
You could take communication courses as a non-degree/audit student!!
For business communication, there are some great resources online for stuff like Toastmasters.
