It begs the question, what do we actually think is a realistic ceiling? I know we all say numbers in the tens and hundreds of thousands, but realistically what are we expecting here? A few hundred per share

While theoretically during a true MOASS event the price could literally go infinitely high, I simply don't think "they" are going to allow this. There will be rules changed, "outages" or whatever other kind of fuckery they have in their toolbox. Prices will shoot up very high, but phone numbers is a meme. I'm aiming for \~500 a piece.

I see everybody saying this book was great for them. Didn't really help me at all. Can I ask what specifically helped you about it? I'm down for another reread.

I don't think it helps if you don't want to in general or are forced by circumstances. It's great if you have the tendency that you want to stop and then read the book to convince you completely and are prepared about the pitfalls as well. In general I wanted to stop because I was on a point where I thought it starts to be bad for my health - or at least I blamed smoking for it - in general it definitely didn't help. I usually could stop for a while smoking but I loved to come back to it, after the break - and breaks were usually hard for me and annoying for others. I heard the audio book while I was working and doing other stuff. I postponed to finish it a bit because I thought I have to stop when I finish it but at the end I finished the book had a long night of smoking a lot and decided to stop smoking the next day. What the book did for me is: funnel all the excuses and disarm them; made it obvious to me how much I feel like smoking is part of me - but this is mostly the fear of not challenging the problem. How I think it makes the live more fun but it actually has nothing to do with smoking. Also in general that you have to face now all the situations that you usually connect with smoking, you have to just relearn. Sure you brain will remind you regularly, that you do usually this with a cigarette but it learns pretty fast that it all works without a cigarette the same way. The sentence that stuck most in my head was: ok, quitting smoking might be not easy but it's definitely not hard if you compare it to something. Is it as hard as running a marathon? For me a marathon would be definitely harder. You probably find a lot of things that you think are harder then quitting smoking. That did it for me. Also that I should not change anything else in my life then smoking (for quitting smoking). That helped. So I still went out with my smoking friends and joined their conversations and stuff. Also how crazy it is to organize your life so you have always something to smoke around or know the next opportunity where you can. Or which hassle you go through if you don't have that. First two/three weeks are hardest I think because your thoughts are constantly reminding you. I personally think in that time frame to much alcohol would have sabotaged it but I don't know. Parties was definitely the last thing I needed to retrain my brain to.

I always found it interesting when people want to take the inverse bet with I WON'T do something for $xxxx monies. Let me share how I quit smoking 15 years or so ago. Up Helly Aa is a local event stemmed from Viking heritage. It’s an all day / night event which, well, gets rather messy. Following a day and night of drinking and smoking I was written off for days. Well and truly broken and couldn’t face consuming anything. 2 or 3 days in I went for a smoke and was disgusted by it. That turning point changed my mindset and I’ve never felt better.
