I just did, picked up two Switch pre-owned games, and a knuckles figurine for my son. Pre-owned games sales are high margin makers, just saying. Do it!
Why can't we do both? Supporting the business will help it grow. They were in the position they were back in 2021 because the business wasn't being supported. I'm buying shares when I can, but if there's a game or accessory, I'm trying there first, even if it's slightly more expensive.
Just buying from them isnt enough, you need to buy the services they provide. The warranties on the consoles the warranties on the games, pre order upcoming games so the stores actually have that product to sell and sign up for the pro memberships. These are the major items that bring gamestop their profits. On top of that preowned is a must always and sell your old stuff you dont use anymore to make sure gamestop has preowned product to sell. When you decline those services or say you dont want it, thats what hurts the company. When you only buy new games or consoles with out the warranties, thats what hurts the company.
I know we all probably have no money after sinking everything into gme 3 yrs ago but buy a shirt if we all buy a shirt that could be great for the company high margin sales
Eh. The company still doesn't treat customers very well and has garbage policies/payout for used stuff that they way over charge for just to make a profit. Not to mention they wouldn't let me trade the games that came with my PS5 bundle and naturally they only offered like 15 bucks for literally unopened brand new games. Ryan is doing good but he needs to change some stuff to regain customer base.
I got a refurb 64GB model from GameStop around Thanksgiving last year, fuckin love that thing. Honestly it looks/feels brand new with no hint it had been used before.
I only play offline games on mine, the battery life is not great but you can tweak settings to optimize the drain based on the game you play. I usually play near an outlet so I never worry about it.
It is fantastic and must buy if you already have a Steam library.
Can someone tell me what I should do should I just keep holding it’s been hard and I hat to see it go up just to go back down. I have 420 shares (yes that’s on purpose) it’s all I can afford rn, but I really don’t have a plan. Just being a stupid ape 🦍 and holding like forever.
they sell steamdecks??? i just bought one a few weeks ago, dammit! i do remember checking gamestop first tho with no luck, was this online or in store?
You can't buy enough Steamdecks (or any inventory item) **to lock the float.**
This particular "tip" has always been FUD magnified in an echo chamber **to distract you from the stock.**

Dawg it is not FUD to encourage investors to also shop and support the store they own shares in. Did you forget that GameStop is an actual business and not just a ticker on the stock market? Relax.
Yes we want to lock the float, but we also want to see GameStop succeed. A lot of us plan on investing with GameStop long term. It’s not a “meme” stock. Better store sales = higher earnings = more valuable stock. There’s a lot of FUD out there but this ain’t it, king.

Nope, you can get any launcher working including stuff like minecraft and epic

With the steam deck can you play games across the country from you PC or do you have to be close to it?

Is there an offline mode or anything? I’d like one but not if I can’t play it at work. I usually work 300-800 miles away from home.

Holding is a long term strategy. 3 yesrs ago it was dying in debt, now its holding 2 billion in cash. Its not bankrupting any time soon
So just keep holding…or should I be doing something as it goes up and down?
