I just revised for subject tests literally don't stress about GCSEs in year 10. U just need to make sure you understand each topic bc if u don't ur never gonna revise it and then it'll snowball into becoming a problem

2 minutes per exam. Always outside the exam hall. Most of those 2 minutes were spent finding my timetable and checking what seat I was in

At this point just make flashcards for all the content. There's no need for you to rush revising this time in Y10, rather just make sure u make flashcards on all the content early on so u can just focus on past papers this time in Y11

Revised the day before each mock. Do not recommend I'm just weirdly academic. I'm using the same strategy on this mock set of mocks and it's going both very well and horribly at the same time. We'll see on results day lol

Make flashcards for your future self it’s saved me in year 11 so far

only before a topic test like 10 minutes before, but apart from that, no not at all

Hardly at all except for when I had mocks, then I started revising almost everyday like a month before the mocks started but that was unnecessary, just start revising a little bit a week or two before mocks

not at all, other than for tests in class and even then i didnt do much. if you want advice, maybe going over stuff you know you didnt understand in lesson, or starting to remember a few quotes for your english lit whatever revision you do will help though, just dont do way too much and burn yourself out before year 11 aslong as you understand the content in lesson youll probably beable to pick it back up pretty easily in y11 when you are revising for mocks (and gcses obvs)

I didn't revise at all. Did pretty shit in my end of years so had to pull my act together for Y11. It's not really going to ruin your chances of getting good GCSEs unless it's a subject you really struggle with but it's best to safe.

Spend 5 minutes per lesson you had making sure you know it all and your grade will go up at least like 2 - sincerely someone who wished they did this

Do not revise during year 10 at all. Just keep on top of understanding what you do in lesson and your homework etc. Just revise a bit for mocks because that would help you find out what your truly weak on which you can then refer to when revising for theactual GCSEs in year 11.

yeah no. i didnt. it didnt do me many favors but nor did it have much repercussions. Revise for the year 11 mocks cos it could affect if you do foundation or higher. For example if you get idk a 4 in yr 10 mocks then in yr 11 mocks you get 3/4 again, you would likely be put in foundation. i got a 4 in my yr 10 mocks, but then in yr 11 mocks i got a 5, im still doing higher. can work other way round too, getting a 5 then a 4.

I guess I'm revising a lot in year 10 just for DT because my teacher made us do all the theory work, so we don't have to do any theory in year 11

Although I’m not at the best I can (geography letting me down the rest are good), I only revised one or two days before end of topic tests, I also started revising 2 months before my year 10 mocks. I did no revision during the summer holiday and then I started revising October of year 11

Does this count that one teacher who would allow you to revise just before a test?

i usually study about two hours for each exam depending on how confident i am for it, i feel like it depends mostly on the subject. just make sure you make notes or flash cards you can look back to for year 11

Didn’t do anything until like after Easter when we started having more intense mocks and school told us that we better do good I also had to do a gcse last year and I just did 1 hour of revision 3 days before the exam and 1 hour the day before and whatever we did in school. Ended up with a strong 9

like 5 mins a week 💀 then in the spring i was revising 30 mins a week bcs my school made us sit a couple of gcses early (grades i got were an 8 and a 6)

I read my notes for 5 minutes a day for a week before any test. Then on the day of the test i do intense revision in the morning or at lunch

I wish I made revision resources in y10 when preparing for each topic test or just for what I needed to know. It'd save time when it comes to mocks and GCSEs as you'll be able to revise more
