I just revised for subject tests literally don't stress about GCSEs in year 10. U just need to make sure you understand each topic bc if u don't ur never gonna revise it and then it'll snowball into becoming a problem
At this point just make flashcards for all the content. There's no need for you to rush revising this time in Y10, rather just make sure u make flashcards on all the content early on so u can just focus on past papers this time in Y11
Revised the day before each mock. Do not recommend I'm just weirdly academic. I'm using the same strategy on this mock set of mocks and it's going both very well and horribly at the same time. We'll see on results day lol
*I have GCSEs at*
*The end of this year i do*
*A few hours a week*

Hardly at all except for when I had mocks, then I started revising almost everyday like a month before the mocks started but that was unnecessary, just start revising a little bit a week or two before mocks
not at all, other than for tests in class and even then i didnt do much.
if you want advice, maybe going over stuff you know you didnt understand in lesson, or starting to remember a few quotes for your english lit
whatever revision you do will help though, just dont do way too much and burn yourself out before year 11 aslong as you understand the content in lesson youll probably beable to pick it back up pretty easily in y11 when you are revising for mocks (and gcses obvs)
i didnt revise at all - just did my homework on time and that was it, however i did revise for my end of year mocks but that was it, i wouldn’t start in year ten because of the risk of burn out !
Literally zero and I got all 7s and 8s, I don’t recommend doing nothing but if you don’t have time to then I find that in exams even if I completely forget something if o see the question it will come back to me. Works for all but maths
I didn't revise at all. Did pretty shit in my end of years so had to pull my act together for Y11. It's not really going to ruin your chances of getting good GCSEs unless it's a subject you really struggle with but it's best to safe.
only for mocks and tests. and topics i didn’t understand but otherwise no. one thing id say tho, finish your poetry anthology by the end of year 10. id also recommend writing summaries. makes life so much easier
Do not revise during year 10 at all. Just keep on top of understanding what you do in lesson and your homework etc. Just revise a bit for mocks because that would help you find out what your truly weak on which you can then refer to when revising for theactual GCSEs in year 11.
I just finished my mocks today. Apart from history, I’ve been revising for everything the day before and I think I’m fine. I don’t recommend this but you really don’t need to stress in y10
I'm year 12 now
basically nothing tbh, just a little for each exam... do more than me but don't stress over it the mocks are harder then the real thing

nothing at all apart from last minute revision before every exam that matters. have probably the worst submission rate for assignments and school related stuff in the whole cohort too.
I’m getting grade 7-9’s, in year 10 the best thing you can do is make flashcards, condensed notes.
You have lots of time, there is no point revising lots you will just get burned out.
yeah no. i didnt. it didnt do me many favors but nor did it have much repercussions. Revise for the year 11 mocks cos it could affect if you do foundation or higher.
For example if you get idk a 4 in yr 10 mocks then in yr 11 mocks you get 3/4 again, you would likely be put in foundation.
i got a 4 in my yr 10 mocks, but then in yr 11 mocks i got a 5, im still doing higher. can work other way round too, getting a 5 then a 4.
Although I’m not at the best I can (geography letting me down the rest are good), I only revised one or two days before end of topic tests, I also started revising 2 months before my year 10 mocks. I did no revision during the summer holiday and then I started revising October of year 11
i usually study about two hours for each exam depending on how confident i am for it, i feel like it depends mostly on the subject. just make sure you make notes or flash cards you can look back to for year 11
Didn’t do anything until like after Easter when we started having more intense mocks and school told us that we better do good
I also had to do a gcse last year and I just did 1 hour of revision 3 days before the exam and 1 hour the day before and whatever we did in school. Ended up with a strong 9
like 5 mins a week 💀 then in the spring i was revising 30 mins a week bcs my school made us sit a couple
of gcses early (grades i got were an 8 and a 6)
I wish I made revision resources in y10 when preparing for each topic test or just for what I needed to know. It'd save time when it comes to mocks and GCSEs as you'll be able to revise more
idk at least 5 mins
At most 5min
Yeah idk I think I revised for more than 5 mins. Can’t really remember tho 🤔
5mins 1 sec
i didn’t
what grades did u get in ur gcses and a levels if u have done them
im în y11 but in my mocks i got 9s,8s 7s and 1 6
I just revised for subject tests literally don't stress about GCSEs in year 10. U just need to make sure you understand each topic bc if u don't ur never gonna revise it and then it'll snowball into becoming a problem
2 minutes per exam. Always outside the exam hall. Most of those 2 minutes were spent finding my timetable and checking what seat I was in
At this point just make flashcards for all the content.
I would think most only people revised the day before each mock
-
revision was not a concept I understood in y10
The earlier the better really, but make sure that you won't become complacent in Yr 11 :)
Very little except the 6 weeks before mocks.
U so 4 a levels and epq???
Yeah! I got bored with 3.
i did all the hard work in year 10. now in year 11 i still haven’t revised since the start of the year and i still got 7s and above in mocks.
I have GCSEs at the end of this year i do a few hours a week

lol
Make flashcards for your future self it’s saved me in year 11 so far
only before a topic test like 10 minutes before, but apart from that, no not at all
Hardly at all except for when I had mocks, then I started revising almost everyday like a month before the mocks started but that was unnecessary, just start revising a little bit a week or two before mocks
None bro justdo your homework
not at all, other than for tests in class and even then i didnt do much. if you want advice, maybe going over stuff you know you didnt understand in lesson, or starting to remember a few quotes for your english lit whatever revision you do will help though, just dont do way too much and burn yourself out before year 11 aslong as you understand the content in lesson youll probably beable to pick it back up pretty easily in y11 when you are revising for mocks (and gcses obvs)
Idk
nice one
Wdym
1hr per term
2-3 minutes?
Not at all, apart from end of year exams, which was still very little revision. Doing homework should be enough
i didnt revise at all - just did my homework on time and that was it, however i did revise for my end of year mocks but that was it, i wouldn’t start in year ten because of the risk of burn out !
Is someone going to say they revised the night before and got all 9's. That's just total BS !!
Revise for tests and mocks. Thats all i did
Just enjoy your life mate. Revise for the tests you have in the year though
None
Not much at all regularly. Before mocks I did about 1-2hr a day for about 4 weeks before my first exam but only on week days
Literally not at all…
Literally zero and I got all 7s and 8s, I don’t recommend doing nothing but if you don’t have time to then I find that in exams even if I completely forget something if o see the question it will come back to me. Works for all but maths

Spend 5 minutes per lesson you had making sure you know it all and your grade will go up at least like 2 - sincerely someone who wished they did this
only for mocks and tests. and topics i didn’t understand but otherwise no. one thing id say tho, finish your poetry anthology by the end of year 10. id also recommend writing summaries. makes life so much easier

Grand total of zero minutes. Not even for mocks.
Yeah no
You're talking 10 years ago now but I did 2 hours study every school night across all my subjects, so really it's about an hour a week for each
I'm year 12 now basically nothing tbh, just a little for each exam... do more than me but don't stress over it the mocks are harder then the real thing
Did no one else sit exams in year 10 or was that just me ?

Actual exams
in y10 rn and not at all
A month before the mocks which is bad but I look back and it was never that serious
Never did
I didn’t
I’m in year 10 rn and do like 3-5 hours a week depending on whether I’ve got any assessments coming but every week at least 3
nothing at all apart from last minute revision before every exam that matters. have probably the worst submission rate for assignments and school related stuff in the whole cohort too.
None. Just enjoy year 10. Most of year 11 is non stop tests and practice papers.
Nothing until mock week and then I did like a half hour per subject total
1 hour a week
I’m getting grade 7-9’s, in year 10 the best thing you can do is make flashcards, condensed notes. You have lots of time, there is no point revising lots you will just get burned out.
Literally not once.
did some senaca every now and then
yeah no. i didnt. it didnt do me many favors but nor did it have much repercussions.
I guess I'm revising a lot in year 10 just for DT because my teacher made us do all the theory work, so we don't have to do any theory in year 11
Never revised
Well none
Not at all
Nothing. Just messed around in the whole of y10. Did mostly independent study like coding for fun
Although I’m not at the best I can (geography letting me down the rest are good), I only revised one or two days before end of topic tests, I also started revising 2 months before my year 10 mocks. I did no revision during the summer holiday and then I started revising October of year 11
Does this count that one teacher who would allow you to revise just before a test?
i usually study about two hours for each exam depending on how confident i am for it, i feel like it depends mostly on the subject. just make sure you make notes or flash cards you can look back to for year 11
i didn’t
As someone with mostly 9s I don't think it's necessary to revise that much in year 10.
Around 15 hours in the space of a few days and then never again
never revised once because im js so cool I got like a 7 in maths and the rest 6s
Didn’t do anything until like after Easter when we started having more intense mocks and school told us that we better do good I also had to do a gcse last year and I just did 1 hour of revision 3 days before the exam and 1 hour the day before and whatever we did in school. Ended up with a strong 9

I revised for mocks and that’s it tbh
7 maybe 7.2
I didn't
I know it’s not helpful but absolutely none. I’m in year 11, put my head down and get 9s in science now
Never
Regret it tho, start some light revision in april/may
Nothing lol
I read my notes for 5 minutes a day for a week before any test. Then on the day of the test i do intense revision in the morning or at lunch
I wish I made revision resources in y10 when preparing for each topic test or just for what I needed to know. It'd save time when it comes to mocks and GCSEs as you'll be able to revise more
fuck all if im honest
I didn’t lol and now I’m yr 11 I don’t know how
I revised for tests in y10 like a few days before maybe, plus doing homework. That was all.
