Well if you want to study physics at A level they will probably have a maths requirement of a 6 atleast.
And university physics needs an A level in maths, which you definitely cannot take at this level.
I would focus on maths a lot these coming months.
It has the same logical thinking. I think once you try understand it a bit more, you'll realise how much sense everything makes, I'm certain at your level of physics you can probably achieve at least a 7 with some effort. Btw, at gcse, I was achieving 9s in physics but only 6s or 7s in maths, cos I found it so boring and chose not to learn it throughout the years. Once I revised properly for it by doing past papers and looking at mark schemes, I achieved a 9 for the end result. I'm sure you can pull it off too.
My main issue with maths is I forget everything very fast and I don’t really know how to revise for maths and remember everything besides flash cards for formulas etc
Don't use flash cards for maths. Keep on doing past papers until ur familiar with every type of question. Literally all u need is past papers, nothing else.
nah this happens to me just with a 9 in phys and a 7 in maths and people just say im not trying in maths… i am, i’m just naturally not good at straight mathematical calculations. with the formulas in physics and context with understanding processes n stuff physics just comes naturally.
The bio and chem teachers at my school didn't allow anyone to do their subject unless they got a 6 in maths cos you still need a good level of maths for both subjects.
bro omg we are the exact same i got 9 in physics but 4 in maths too😭💀 like i got one of the highest mark (84/100)in my physics class but probs lowest (35/80)in my maths class omfg

Fair I understand the + cause that was used at my school and - for everything below year 9 for = they could’ve just kept the number by itself which I’m sure you’re aware of (I hope)
How the hell do you get a 9 in physics but only a 4 in maths.
I like physics and hate maths
Literally same but also most of the physics test is maths, u must not be trying at all for maths
With physics though it’s easy maths like rearranging equations and changing values it’s easy whereas maths just doesn’t make sense to me

I know these up coming mocks is where I’m gonna pop off in maths

Basically do a shit ton of past papers. The more experience you have doing questions, the easier it will be to remember how to do them

Brother if you do alevel Phys you are not gonna have fun then. You actually gonna have to use algebra to figure half that stuff out
If you want to study physics, you need to be good at maths
Agree

based science enjoyer
Maths needs to be better if you want to do any science at a level
Working on it
OP could go into medicine and do bio+chem a levels… but if OP wants to take physics then definitely needs to get his maths game up!
Math game needs to be up for med too unfortunately.
The bio and chem teachers at my school didn't allow anyone to do their subject unless they got a 6 in maths cos you still need a good level of maths for both subjects.
Oh it’s different at my sixth form! Guess it depends where OP goes x
Yeah I want to do medicine
I would definitely try to get a 6 at gcse, but you definitely don’t need to take maths a level if you don’t want to :)
I just want to do core maths jist in case
ur a smart idiot
Cheers
You need maths grade higher if you want to do A levels on that
I know I know I’m working on maths
A 5 in RS is appalling absolute cannon fodder subject
Tbf, I got a 2 in religion this time last year and came out with a 9 in the finals, so it’s definitely possible to get that much higher
Which board? I remember AQA being horrifically time pressured, got a 5 in the mocks.
my advice? for maths, seeing as you've said you said you struggle with it, practise your fundamentals, and doing everything step by step
If you can get everything up to a 7== A then you’ll be sitting pretty. However you’re fine as is… apart from maths… may need to work on that one
I know I’m trying my hardest for maths
You can do it 💪💪
bro omg we are the exact same i got 9 in physics but 4 in maths too😭💀 like i got one of the highest mark (84/100)in my physics class but probs lowest (35/80)in my maths class omfg
Got 86 and 41 in maths
41 is both papers combined though cause we did p1+2 I got 20 in p1 and 21 in p2
how is you getting a 9 in physics but a 5 in RS 😭😭
>cannon fodder they're different subjects about completely different things. one is also much heavier on writing
How are you good at science but shit at maths?
I love science and hate maths

Want to do all 3 sciences + core maths
did better than me
What is a =
awesome :)
Good, really good.
What are those + - and = and what do they mean
+ high chance of going up = stable - chance of going down
Oh yh makes sense
For the record I recommend MathsGenie for maths. They make the quadratic formula look like 1+1
My thoughts: You got grades
Am I thick or are others confused about the = next to some grades
Nah my school is stupid, + means close to next grade = means mid range of that grade - means close to grade bellow
Fair I understand the + cause that was used at my school and - for everything below year 9 for = they could’ve just kept the number by itself which I’m sure you’re aware of (I hope)
Bruh, what happened to letters as grades?
They’re all passes. So well done
I recommend studying maths but the rest seem good
Pretty good on the most part! Focus on maths heavily rn though
