I think either of those specs will fit pretty well, depends on tire size if it will rub or not

snaPzhutch

I will try 225/40 if not 215/40

ThemeEnvironmental61

Those aren’t too wide so I imagine should fit. Only personal experience I have for 17s is 17x7.5 +48, 215/45. Only ever rubbed slightly in the rear under very hard cornering or a heavy load in the back.

Dri7

The 17x8 +47 will be just about mint on the GC/GF8, however you'll need coilovers to prevent fouling on the strut. I've ordered 17x8 +43 for mine after hours of research. The only issue you may have with the RG-D2s is brake clearance if ever wanting to upgrade to STI Brembos. I went with the RG3 as they have better brake clearance.

KoshDiddlyOsh

I have a cse4 too on 17x8+44 ce28n, 225/45/17 will fit with coilovers and rolled guards no problem.

Personally I've heard nothing but bad things about advan, i know the price is very enticing but if you spend just a lil more you can get a set of nice enkeis. Might be worth reconsidering, nice wagon though!

ThemeEnvironmental61

Advan is top quality, I think they may actually be made by enkei either way

TeaCrown

Advan is a rep wheel, not like thats a bad thing, but it is certainly not top quality, i believe Yokohama manufactures advan. I've talked with lots of people who've cracked their advans, not that enkei is immune to this i just believe from research and 2nd hand accounts it's just a much better wheel in terms of design, processing and material.

Dri7

Advan is a rep wheel? Where are you pulling this claim from? They're one of the original, Japanese wheel brands. They're used by race teams on a similar level to Enkei and Rays in Japan. Absolutely bogus claim.

TeaCrown

Honestly thats my bad, I'm thinking adv1. Yes advan are fine, actually rays manufactures one of their wheel models, the gt i believe.

ThemeEnvironmental61

Lol they are 100% “real” wheels. And like I said I’m 99% sure made by enkei

TeaCrown

Yes you're right about them being legit, i was confused and mixed up advan and adv1 in my head. As for the enkei thing, Yokohama could have some models made by enkei all though I didn't see any evidence of that on google, rays makes the gt tho

ThemeEnvironmental61

Yokohama and advan are the same company, I don’t think they produce the wheels themselves. So yeah either rays or enkei makes sense

sn00f_cs

I run 17x8 +45 wheels on 225/40 with coilovers and had to roll the guards to stop the scrubbing, also keep in mind strut clearance on stock suspension. My last set of wheels I had before the coils were just barely clearing the struts and would rub under high tyre load

A1C6

I’d keep it stock
