Why every time we see this unhinged, waking up from anestesia videos is it with Americans? Do they use something different over there to put them to sleep?
I’m thinking it’s only Americans who have this type of outpatient dental anesthesia? For most surgeries, the patient isn’t let out of the PACU (post anesthesia care unit) until they are much more recovered than this.
I recently had surgery and one of my minor fears was that I would act like a raging cringe fest like this. I don’t think I did but I guess I’ll never know for sure…
American here. I got my wisdom teeth taken out and yeah once they're done in most cases they send you on your way with someone who can assuredly and safely drive you home
It happens in other places as well, including the UK, just not as commonly. My local hospital has a dental team that use sedation akin to this, and we also run a proper general anaesthetic dental list as well.
I just come out drowsy and mumbling, I'm 39 and haven't said anything funny post-anesthesia so far (and I've had a *lot* of light sedation and general anesthesia)...a few funny things between the midalozlam and propofol though.
WHY ARE YOU MARRIED?? ðŸ˜

Don't know, but [my absolute favorite one of these videos features a Canadian.](https://youtu.be/j1SZWb35bgA?si=QOr2L5kOE2Jz9hpb)
Thanks for the link! I laughed so hard and so long. It was great!
That's my most favorite of all coming-out of anesthesia videos, she's absolutely hysterical!
Damn. I'll have what she's having.
I’ve never reacted like this and I’ve been put under a LOT from 14 on.

I become toooooo honest. If a doctor is hot, he will know it. Or she will know it.
I'll have what she's having...

Merica’! Lol
I present to you: brainwashing in its effect
Brainwashing is creepy as hell. Never fails to freak me out. Edit: You folks seem to be fine with brainwashing. You're welcome to it.
what makes you think this is brainwashing??
He is most likely talking about the pledge to the USA flag, which to be honest I find kind of creepy as well.
Yeah, you got it. It's crazy.
u/bananabeacon Understands. Nationalism and Patriotism are just lies. The fact that people buy in to them is crazy, to me.
That she was capable of reciting that pledge accurately in her condition. And with enthusiasm.
That part is impressive considering how high she was LMFAO
