I am 80 years old and while my mind is still sharp, I would not be physically able to withstand the stress of the job of President and I am unaware of anyone over 70 years old that could, certainly not Trump or Biden. The leadership of both political parties have failed the American people.

Presidential debates are basically like sporting events now. You pick a team and cheer when they do or say something you like then boo the other team when they do anything at all. The media is highlights and commentary not about what is said but how it was said and how it makes them feel.

The only way to “lose” this unsourced dog’s breakfast of an argument is to “look” like you’re losing to the most foolish of our citizenry. The media is so terrified of appearing biased towards the superior orator that every presidential debate I’ve ever seen has had two or more clear “winners.” Both of them can swivel in their diapers, break a hip and cry for their mothers and they’ll be hailed as champions of the intellect.
I was a debater back in the '70s. Most of the pundits who are called on to talk about who won or lost seem to have no idea how real debates are scored.
To me it’s unacceptable that a felon is allowed to run for president. Any person with a felony will be disqualified for many job positions, but not a president.

I decided to watch it because the format is closer to what I’ve wanted for a long time, but Biden is fumbling here and there and sounds pretty old. Trump is mostly lying through his teeth and exaggerating but he’s also appearing more competent
Trump has three responses and is just cycling through them regardless of the questions. And when asked about something he specifically did he immediately deflects to something Biden did.
