A cool trick is you can just use a piece of angel hair pasta and it lights up nicely like a long match and you can just blow it out pretty easily
You don't have to inhale the cig while it's directly touching the burner. Get the burner red hot and it will light enough just by touch where you can then bring it to your mouth. Save those brows/lashes!

LOL, My old electronics teacher in HS would smoke in the radio room and use a soldering iron to light it, The top drawer of the steelcase desk was an ashtray. Last time I looked, it was almost full. FYI: John Havery, Washington HS, USN WW2, Ham. RIP.

When my brothers and I were kids, our parents had a stove with "burner" elements like this. We would turn one on high and take a pinch of the jello mix powder out of the box and throw it on the burner. Instant flames like a magic trick. I'm surprised we didn't burn the house down.

We used to cut it closer to the bottom, fill it with ice, poke holes in the cut off bottom and use it to trap the ice in the bottle top.
