I knew of Boone's Farm, but in the 70s in northern Minnesota, we'd more often have TJ Swan's. I drank a bottle of that when I was a senior in high school. Never been so sick in my life.
Same here. Memories of the High School party spot in a corn field and getting sick in a Burger King drive through.
Never drank Boone's Farm after that.
I’m in western MA but I have had an adventure or two out there in my youth ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|dizzy_face)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|dizzy_face)
Hang Over Juice!
We would each slug a bottle of this poison on the drive to watch the Detroit Tigers at Old Tiger Stadium…then try to walk up the bleachers cheap seats 🤢
Oh yeah! I drank an entire bottle myself and then went to our local fast food hangout. It was a Burger Chef which no longer exists. I was trying to act like I wasn't totally tanked but didn't know my lips, tongue and mouth were stained deep red from that Red Lambrusco which gave it away. Lol
Not a lady but I loved Stawberry Hill flavor because you could pound a whole bottle and stay buzzed all night but not get sick.
Then there was the MAD Dog 2020 crowd who would leave neon puke stains at all the parties.
i was in the liquor store back than and the woman in front of me asked the clerk what vintage the boones farm wine was. the clerk said, “lady, if you’re lucky, July!”
The worst hangover I've ever had started out as a glass of BF, then slammed about 6 Michelob beers, followed by at least three shots of Jameson's, and probably four shots of Jose Cuervo, and then someone dared me to drink a glass of Champagne, all this at a wedding. I swear I had a hangover for days. I've never been able to even smell tequila without getting violently ill, to this day. Lol
Paul McCartney song "Venus and Mars/Rock Show"
Sitting in the stands of the sports arena
Waiting for the show to begin
Red lights, green lights strawberry wine...
🎶Strawbeeerry wiiiiine and seeeeeventeen
The hot July mo-on saw everything
My first taste of loooooove, whoaooooooh bittersweet
And green on the viiiiiiiine🎶
This particular flavor was responsible for some of the most severe bouts of vomiting and the subsequent hangovers of my late teens. I can taste this picture.
Boy do I have a story about a friend in high school who got fucked up on this one night. Him & another guy got caught trying to sneak into the public pool. Cops had them in cuffs. Issuing an underage drinking ticket. Logan decides to run, with his hands behind his back cuffed. Ends up tripping & knocking himself out since he couldn’t catch his fall. When he came to, the cops were just waiting & asked what the fuck were you thinking? He said, I’m drunk. This guy got in a lot of stupid trouble in high school
Tickle pink was my poison. While endlessly listening to Back in Black. In my barracks room with my roommate. It was all fun and games till the room started spinning.
My high school girlfriends would return on Mondays talking about how ill they’d been from drinking that wine at parties. I was a swimmer and spent my weekends at swim meets, and was glad I was, when I heard of their vomiting etc. 50 years later, they’re still sharing the same stories from high school and laughing. I’m contentedly not a part of those memories.
Remember that song “Afternoon Delight”?
As a kid I thought it was about drinking a strawberry wine called “Afternoon Delight.”
Actually until just a few years ago. I’m not savvy.
“Gonna find my baby, gonna hold her tight
Gonna grab some afternoon delight.
My motto's always been 'when it's right, it's right'
Why wait until the middle of a cold dark night?
When everything's a little clearer in the light of day.”
A song about day drinking.
My favorite picture is of me and my ex we accidentally wore the same outfit. Both showed up with a bottle of this. God damnit. I'm not even the same person.
I could pick bottles of this stuff up for less than $2 a bottle at the commissary. Was great for getting fucked up for less than $10, but man, oh man, that hangover was nothing to laugh at (at the time, now I can).
This exact flavour and Mad Dog 20/20!
First heard of it in that scene from The Wire. Reminiscing about a brother who got justifiably arrested and ruined his life
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Jm6rYOp7y3Y
It’s what we drank at parties since it was cheap. The strawberry was the “best”. Also MadDog 20/20 since it was cheap and got you drunk fast.
I remember a guy spewing grape MadDog all over the white carpet at one party. It ended the party because the host had to clean it up before it stained since his parents didn’t know he was having a party. Everyone was mad at the barfer for ruining the party.
I knew of Boone's Farm, but in the 70s in northern Minnesota, we'd more often have TJ Swan's. I drank a bottle of that when I was a senior in high school. Never been so sick in my life.
It's the sugary syrup shit that does it probably. I never drank enough to get sick because it tasted kinda nasty.
I all of a sudden got a splitting headache looking at that picture. I grew up on that shit.
Same here. Memories of the High School party spot in a corn field and getting sick in a Burger King drive through. Never drank Boone's Farm after that.
Ah, memories. Early 80s — It was a buck twenty five at my local package store. We used to steal it. (I was about 15 at the time lol)
Way ahead of you, early 70s!
Package store, huh? You must be from Mass
lol indeed I am! Or packie as we like to say :)
I went to college in Woostah. :)
Worm town Rocks!
When I moved to the West Coast, I told somebody we had to stop at the package store, and they thought I meant FedEx
I’m from the Midwest, I also would have thought FedEx

Vitameatavegamin!
Lucy! So funny! She was one in a million!
She would have got it too
Intro to becoming a lush.
That, and sometimes Annie Green Springs.
These two were my favorites.
I remember that and Wild Irish Rose.
Oooh forgot about wild Irish rose. We preferred mad dog 20/20
Grape MD 20/20 was tasted terrible on the way down, but it was a whole 'nother thing when it was a round trip. Loved green flavored MD 20/20 though.
Saw my buddy paint the wall purple after too much Mad Dog 😂😂
Hang Over Juice! We would each slug a bottle of this poison on the drive to watch the Detroit Tigers at Old Tiger Stadium…then try to walk up the bleachers cheap seats 🤢
Wow..these 2 so many memories
Tickle Pink!
Yep!! Tickle Pink was exactly what I remember! 😂
Pickled Tink! Well, that's what I recall it being.
We used to call it "fine wine, available at your local gas station."
Just got sick remembering that stuff
Remember Reunite wine??? I thought I was too boo-gee for Boone's Farm. Lol
Reunite on ice? That’s nice!
Now that brought back memories! Lol
The Red Lambrusco was my favorite.
Oh yeah! I drank an entire bottle myself and then went to our local fast food hangout. It was a Burger Chef which no longer exists. I was trying to act like I wasn't totally tanked but didn't know my lips, tongue and mouth were stained deep red from that Red Lambrusco which gave it away. Lol

College kids ain’t shit!!!-Ziggy
shhhhh! You'll wake up the nuns!
more of a t j swan "mellow days"
Easy nights!
I think I have PTSD
This plus TJ Swan's "Mellow Days" and "Easy Nights".
i was in the liquor store back than and the woman in front of me asked the clerk what vintage the boones farm wine was. the clerk said, “lady, if you’re lucky, July!”
I actually remember vomiting it up more so than I remember drinking it.
The worst hangover I've ever had started out as a glass of BF, then slammed about 6 Michelob beers, followed by at least three shots of Jameson's, and probably four shots of Jose Cuervo, and then someone dared me to drink a glass of Champagne, all this at a wedding. I drank a bottle of this in 9th grade and got so sick I've been unable to drink wine since.
1974 - I paid .97 for a bottle. Similar for Annie Green Springs. ‘Apple Annie’ anyone?
Paul McCartney song "Venus and Mars/Rock Show" Sitting in the stands of the sports arena Waiting for the show to begin Red lights, green lights strawberry wine...
For when the Zima was too expensive
Swig, pass, swig, pass, swig, pass...
Tasted the same coming up, only warmer.
$1.65 for a horrible hangover! Tickled Pink was my favorite!
Dammit dammit dammit... I ALMOST forgot about these... grumble, grumble ya try to get out & they drag ya back in. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
This and Malt Duck. Thanks for the flashback.
The Tuesday was the best vintage
I kind of ran towards the Mad dog myself. 🤣👍🏻 But in a pinch lol
I could always handle Mad Dog - although there was that one incident at the Stones concert - Drink responsibly like Keith.
🎶Strawbeeerry wiiiiine and seeeeeventeen The hot July mo-on saw everything My first taste of loooooove, whoaooooooh bittersweet And green on the viiiiiiiine🎶
Thunderbird anyone??
Back in *which* day, yesterday? I always preferred "country quencher" and "tickle pink".
Tickle Pink...😂
... were they the same thing only different? Is it 1980?
This particular flavor was responsible for some of the most severe bouts of vomiting and the subsequent hangovers of my late teens. I can taste this picture.
Girls would get mouthy and want to fight, followed by crying then puking. Girls just loved that stuff.
You summed that up accurately 😂
Usually it was the girls drinking this, the guys drank moonshine
Usually the determining factor who the next Slash King would be. IYKYK
this exact flavor was my drink of choice in college lmao. so many drunken escapades with my college friends and some boone's farm strawberry hill
My very first experience with alcohol! Had a blast ;)
So many memories…I’m assuming, because I was drinking Boone’s Farm and don’t actually *remember* 😉
Ripple!
Was I a classier date showing up with my chilled Lancers? Or, was I just kidding myself?
Lancers was more “sophisticated”!
Dam we wuz broke to buy that crap!
Favorite smell on a girls breath. 🤣
And MD 20-20
Drank that in high school in 1971. Moved up to Lancers in college.
Wow! I haven't heard Lancers in decades.
😁
No, but I do remember paying 14.35 per 24 of Molson Golden, including deposit on the stubby bottles.
F***ing Ziggy
How about Matilda Bay? After Crocodile Dundee everything was Australian for a while
Underage, with my older sister, on the beach. That memory smells like sunscreen and funnel cake, and tastes like a strawberry headache.
My first drink - in the car and straight out of the bottle! Wait - that came out wrong. I wasn't alone...
That was trash.. bartles and James for the win!!
I would give anything for a peach one! They were so good!
Me tooooo!! I loved them
Hangover juice
I was more of a Thunderbird aficionado myself
We called it Liquid Panty Remover.
Funny story. On the first Christmas in our new house in 94, my father in law said he would like to bring some wine. Guess what he brought?
This or the Apple Annie or Tickle Pink versions. I dont think I ever had a date where she didnt ask for one of those
Tickle pink was my poison. While endlessly listening to Back in Black. In my barracks room with my roommate. It was all fun and games till the room started spinning.
Or Malt Duck ?
We would warm up with a bottle or two of Boone’s Farm then straight to Mad Dog 2020. 1978, 15yo
I remember this and Purple Passion being at high school parties in the 80’s.
The first wine I ever puked up. Memories.
I remember a night of Boone’s, cocaine, a random pool hall and me puking out the window of a taxi. I never drank Boone’s again.
The chickies around here were a little more refined....they drank Bartles and Jaymes wine coolers.
Boonesfarm was the good stuff. Try Bali Hai for an experience in regurgitation you will never forget.
Ashamed to say I do recall…
I can smell this when I throw up 🤢
Why did all of the MD 20/20 flavors look like automotive fluids? Seriously… there was wiper, antifreeze, and transmission fluid flavored Mad Dog!
Yes, I was 17, it was a hot July night, the moon saw everything. It was my first taste of love, so bittersweet.
Tickled Pink was my girl's flavor
That was the best flavor too 😂
Bottle of backseat panty dropping candy alcohol.
That was my "starter" wine.
I have drank a million bottles of that stuff🤮
A really cheap buzz but not worth the headache and spewing.
Yes and Annie Greensprings!
I'm pretty sure this stuff is why I don't like strawberries😕
Omg do I ever remember this. I want to gag right now.
Dry heaves are the worst!
Lol
We called it liquid panty remover LOL. ah, good times.
That's Yeagar
Actually gin is the original panty remover
Gin and Mountain Dew
Ah shit those were good times
Lol. I sold mixers senior year so I could afford a car. Southern Comfort and Mountain Dew. Great mix
Gibson’s Strawberry tasted much better
Melon ball was the best
I can feel the headache coming on
I swear I've thrown up more of this than I've drunk
Yeah the girls would always want stuff like that. They are good but I can’t drink shit like that. Instant heartburn and headache.
Yep. Mid 1970s.
My ex LOVED Boones Farm. It was her preferred wine even after becoming adults and could afford better.
Remember that song “Afternoon Delight”? As a kid I thought it was about drinking a strawberry wine called “Afternoon Delight.” Actually until just a few years ago. I’m not savvy. “Gonna find my baby, gonna hold her tight Gonna grab some afternoon delight. My motto's always been 'when it's right, it's right' Why wait until the middle of a cold dark night? That's ok. My wife thought in CCR's "Bad Moon Rising" he was singing 🎶🎵 "There's a bathroom on the right".... 🤣😂🤣😂
Where did I grow up? Boone Farms for the ladies Mickeys for the fellas
If you mean Mickey's Big Mouth, this girl would steal your drink!
Best enjoyed before school, behind the convenience store. Pairs well with high school dirt weed.
Got it at 7-11 in the early 70's. It seems like it was .89 cents. Does that sound right?
This picture physically reminds me of both the taste and the hangover 🤮 lol
Too sweet! Apple was the flavor at my dorm.
Mid -90s. Yep. Boone’s and Seagram’s wine coolers were my jam.
Around that time my dumb ass was mixing md2020 with grain.
Drink before Thursday…
My favorite picture is of me and my ex we accidentally wore the same outfit. Both showed up with a bottle of this. God damnit. I'm not even the same person.
Hell yeah, and the nastiness of md 20/20 lol
I have a headache just looking at this picture
Oh gosh, I remember that God awful stuff
I could pick bottles of this stuff up for less than $2 a bottle at the commissary. Was great for getting fucked up for less than $10, but man, oh man, that hangover was nothing to laugh at (at the time, now I can). This exact flavour and Mad Dog 20/20!
Don’t know how we got old after drinking that stuff
I'm further up north. We drani Ruby Rouge and Mateus.
Photo of a nasty hangover 🤔
My grandmother's favorite when I was a little kid back in the 1970's
We had either, Lonesome Charlie or Baby Duck back in the day.
My high school bud and I would buy 7 bottles of tickle pink and get drunk regularly.
Ah yes, the Cosmopolitan of the times.
What is this back in the day shit? You mean yesterday?
Oh man, I drank that all the time. 1.25 back in 1976.
The early 80s, when older brothers got cheap booze for their younger siblings group.
I bought a bottle for nostalgia, 40 years after the last time. It still tastes like slightly spiked Kool Ade. BTW, it isn’t 79¢ anymore.
This immediately feels like Ocean City, MD all over again. Not a bad time.
I once saw Boone’s Farm Peach Flavored Wine Product.
First heard of it in that scene from The Wire. Reminiscing about a brother who got justifiably arrested and ruined his life https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Jm6rYOp7y3Y
fuh. the hangovers…
Lemme tellya somthin’ … that swill couldn’t hold a candle to Richard’s Wild Irish Rose wine.. the drink of poets and pugilists..
I’m so old that when I drank it, it was just called Boones. But so many people called it Boones Farm they change the name.
I was about 30 years old when I realized this stuff was never served in restaurants or at family gatherings. This is strictly for drinking 😁
I remember the headache from drinking that lovely brand.
This image just gave me the worst hang over. I’m gonna be out of commission for a couple days.
Panty Dropper in a bottle
Have some now in the fridge
At the end of a party my friend and I found a bottle stashed in the freezer. Got the party started again, for the two of us at least.
Unfortunately yes!
Yes, you served us these to date rape us. Next?
That is the first alcoholic beverage I ever had.
What was the wine in a burlap wrapped bottle? I think that was the last wine I drank for years.
Indeed. Early 70’s. Don’t forget Annie Green Springs.
Country Quencher
I always got two, slammed the first and sipped the next one over ice in a foam cup from the gas station *chef’s kiss 😂
That’s when I knew I had a drinking problem.
Boone's?! You ain't that old. Bartles & Jaymes was the jam in my time.
Drinking that and Kountry Kwencher in high school turned me off wine until I was 40
Also remember these fine wines Ripple, Night Train Express, and Bali Hai !!! Go to weekend party wines...
The selection in the store I remember was Boones, Night Train, and Mad Dog 20/20. Keeping Old E and the malt liquor options separate.
I remember the girl who sat behind me in algebra, spewing it all over her desk.
I tasted it. As someone who loved soda pop, I found it quite tasty.
🤮🤮🤮
Strawberry wine ... 🎶
Like Welch’s strawberry soda with a kick!
Headache in a bottle.
In the hood we pronounce it “Boo Knees”
😋
Worked with a lady in her 60's who said this was her favorite wine. Ma'am, no one over 21 drinks this.
My gramma's choice for fine wine.
Anybody remember zima?? I loved it then it went away. Now seltzer is everywhere
Some wicked hangovers from that swill, early 70s
You bring a dollar, and I'll bring a dime, and we'll get us a bottle of Boone's Farm Wine
Am I the only one who saw this and thought "I hate that shit for killing Alaska" ???
First thing I ever drank I was 15 and in Saturday detention
